Polveiss figured out how to solve a problem with the Alchemy.lic script, and this solution is as yet undocumented anywhere, as far as I know. Basically, when you are supposed to do a "dusting" task, if you have a "dust" of any kind in your inventory (duster article of clothing, feather duster, pinch of gold dust, etc), the Alchemy.lic script does not complete your task unless you put your dust/duster in a container and close it. But I don't find a Script Alchemy page (like the one for Bigshot, and I don't see any section of this Alchemy article which addresses scripts used for Alchemy. I did find this page: Category:Alchemy scripts, but there seem to not be any Lich scripts listed. Does a helpful hint about Alchemy.lic really belong on the wiki? And if so, where is a best place to put it? Thanks -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 17:34, 21 February 2020 (CST) |

As per Help:Style#Lich_information it's not really "allowed" on the wiki. Your best bet is to actually open an issue over on Tillmen's github repository about it so that he can patch it directly into alchemy.lic itself. That is located over at https://github.com/matt-lowe/lich-scripts Hope that helps WHIGHTCNIGHT (talk) 18:05, 21 February 2020 (CST) |

Um... the best way to state where a source came from is using a ref tag... and if you're going to source a post, it may be wise to make it a saved post, then link it using ref tags. - Andy talk 18:08, 7 September 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, it was a random post that I had just saved the text of it into notepad for later retrieval. So didn't have all the other information needed to make it a saved post article. Adam talk 20:40, 7 September 2007 (EDT)
- Some suggestions: The Alchemy verb pages should all be covered under ALCHEMY (verb). There's no need for an ALCHEMY SIMMER, ALCHEMY BOIL, et cetera. Second, not every skill needs a link in the table of contents. Instead of using headers, use a definition list (lines that start with a semicolon followed by a line that starts with a colon). I admit that I need to change the way I wrote some of the Rogue Guild skill articles. I will say this though: good on you for moving the list of ingredients to their own page. Lists like that do not belong in a main article. However, when making lists, try to add the lists category.
- In general, try not to use headers unless there's a significant amount of information to put under the header. IE: the fame and experience header probably isn't entirely necessary, unless there's a significant amount of information that can be put there. If you want to put this somewhere, perhaps make a more general header such that more information can be written under it. For example, you could title the header: Rewards of Alchemy. Then you could list fame and experience, as well as the other benefits that may occur from training in Alchemy.
- I say all this stuff, but don't let it be a discouragement. It is nothing more than constructive criticism. Other than these few comments, it is well-written and necessary information. - Andy talk 00:13, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
