::Could this page have an "index" column that just lists 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc, in the order the perfume scents follow one another? I could see where, if a person did alphabetize the list to look for something... it would help them to sort of keep track of "where that perfume is" in the list. As an example: You sort this list by perfume name. You find the perfume you want. When you refresh the page so it goes back to its original order, then you have to figure out how far to scroll down or do a "find" and type the perfume name to find the perfume again in the list, where if you knew an index number for it, it would make it simpler to page down and navigate to the perfume again in the original list. It seems like, when either column is sorted in the List of perfumes, you would sort of lose your orientation. I am not proposing to change this, unless a lot of other people think it is a good idea. It just popped in my head, hope it is helpful. Thanks. -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 09:09, 9 February 2020 (CST) |

::::Thanks Naamit, that was speedy. It is exactly what I meant. Hope it will be helpful to people attempting to sort and find what they need. -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 02:33, 11 February 2020 (CST) |

I suggest reverting the alphabetization, as the order of scents is important for those who have the cycling items. Perhaps a table that would allow optional sorting? GameMaster Vanah (talk) 15:19, 21 September 2015 (CDT)

Bottles
I'm considering adding a second column for people to enter the description of the associated perfume bottle if they have it/know it. That way, us plebeians who don't have super rare shifting perfume bottles can find the scent. Thoughts? PFLATS (talk) 18:18, 17 October 2016 (CDT)
- Good idea. But could we make a new page whose focus is "scents" in general, including:
- bottles of perfume/cologne
- vials of oil (manure scent etc sold at Frontier Days)
- stationery scent bottles (also wearable like perfume)
- bath house oils (also make you smelly)
- any other wearable scents we can find
- I love the old page and think it should exist as-is. There seemed to be no interest in modifying it to add a bottle description column.
- Additionally, the trouble with adding bottles to that page might be, that some scents have 2 or 3 different looking bottles sold. That MIGHT muck up this current page.
- Thirdly, if a person wants to get smelly, there are so many other ways to do it than just perfumes. Why be limited to just perfume bottles?
- We could alphabetize by bottle (in the case of bath house scents, list as what they "look like" i.e. "a storm grey vanilla-scented pot").
- PFLATS, are you still around and willing to work on this? I have a tote full of perfume bottles and a spreadsheet partly filled out which could provide a good starting point. I also have collected merchant perfume information for a few years. If my help is wanted let me know ok. Anyone have other thoughts on this? Thanks. -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 08:59, 9 February 2020 (CST)
