Often abbreviated as "CS" it is a value used to determine the outcome of Warding magic. Many different types of magic can utilize this type of attack, therefore each circle of magic will have its own CS value, depending upon the particular training of the character.
- NOTE: Spirit Slayer (240), Elemental Targetting (425), Champion's Might (1612), and the magic found in heavy quartz orbs can be used to modify a caster's CS.
The following information was harvested from the QRS, which can be found here.
CS = (level x 3) + primary circle bonus + secondary circle 1 + secondary circle 2 + stat bonus
The primary circle is the circle of the spell which is being cast (round normally).
- Ranks up to level = 1
- Ranks 1-20 above level = 0.75
- Ranks 21-60 above level = 0.5
- Ranks 61-100 above level = 0.25
- Ranks 101 -? above level = 0.125
Secondary circles are the other circles the character knows (round up). If your profession may only learn two circles, only count the one additional circle.
- Ranks up to 2/3 level = 0.33333
- Ranks above 2/3 level = 0.1
Stat bonus is the value appearing after the stat when the INFO command is entered.
- AURA for Elemental circles
- WISDOM for Spiritual circles
- (AUR+WIS)/2 for Sorcerer circle (round up)
Example: 'Mentok' is a level 60 Sorcerer. He has 80 Sorcerer Base ranks, 30 Minor Elemental ranks, and 20 Minor Spiritual ranks. His AUR bonus is 30 and his WIS bonus is 25.
- Level x 3 = 180
- 60 Sorcerer Base ranks @ 1.0 + 20 ranks @ 0.75 = 75
- 30 Minor Elemental ranks @ 0.33333 = 10
- 20 Minor Spiritual ranks @ 0.33333 = 7
- (30 AUR bonus + 25 WIS bonus)/2 = 28
180 + 75 + 10 + 7 + 28 = 300 Mentok's Sorcerer circle CS = 300
