Description
Plunder your target's pockets as you distract them with an attack.Mechanics
Attack a target and simultaneously attempt to steal from them. Stealing from creatures can produce treasure as if you LOOTed their corpse. Stealing from a creature can only be done once per creature. Success based on Pickpocketing skill, higher success if done from hiding. Please note that many creatures cannot be mugged due to their coding. In such cases, you will receive a message saying the creature is "too wary" - this is not a failure, the action simply is not possible (generally very old creatures cannot be mugged, such as those in the Broken Lands).Additional Information
You can specify an attack type for Mug to use as part of the command, using the syntax CMAN MUG [attack] [target].
- Example: CMAN MUG KICK KOBOLD
>cman mug kick kobold You boldly accost a kobold, your attack masking your larcenous intent! You leap from hiding to strike! You attempt to kick a kobold! You have good positioning against a kobold. UAF: 273 vs UDF: 42 = 2.000 (capped) * MM: 95 + d100: 11 = 201 ... and hit for 80 points of damage! Rapid twisting kick deals nasty double strike to lower left leg! A kobold falls to the ground grasping its mangled left leg! The kobold is stunned! [SMR result: 322 (Open d100: 123, Bonus: 86)] Taking advantage of the scuffle, you roughly pat the kobold down for hidden valuables! You rifle its pockets and discover 123 silvers! Your hasty search scatters the kobold's riches to the ground! Roundtime: 4 sec.
