[Guardian Keep, Recruitment] RNUM: 22211
Gold and crimson stained glass panes glisten from the walls to either side of the office's entrance. Nearby, a curved teak desk rests in an otherwise spare corner, its expanse raised to look down upon a hard wooden chair set before it. A series of crimson banners festoons the spotless walls, each banner marked with a different raptor's gold-edged silhouette. Leaning against the desk is a sheathed sabre bearing a carved ivory hilt.
Obvious exits: north, out

Upon joining the Reserves, the elf is given his dress uniform and access to the Crimson Legion pre- and post-name titles. All members of the Reserves are welcome to join the Crimson Legion Discord server. https://discord.gg/bXNbsYx

Crimson Legion Uniform

Every member of the Crimson Legion will receive a new uniform. There are no requirements to wear these, except during official ceremonies and drill. All reservists should, at minimum, wear their uniform jacket at drill. The protection of innocents takes precedent over everything. You are encouraged to wear your uniform as much as possible when in the Fortress to show your Pride, Honor, and Glory and to let residents and citizens know of your position and expertise.
Lost or damaged uniforms or badges can be replaced by the Lord Legionnaire Commander for a small fee of 100k. Despite this, reservists are strongly discouraged from misplacing of any piece of their uniform.

For a squire, the uniform constitutes:

  • a dark crimson jacket adorned at the shoulders with gold braid tied into one knot of rank
  • a billowing crimson cape
    not a container
  • a pair of polished crimson and gold bracers
(the bracers improve an Elf's Strength by 2, and Constitution, Agility, and Dexterity by 1)
miscellaneous armor
  • a gold-clasped sturdy leather pack
    holds a very large amount
  • a small black leather kit
(filled with bandages)
holds a medium amount

Alterations and the Uniform

Absolutely no cosmetic alterations to any piece of issued uniform gear are allowed. The uniform may be lightened and/or deepened, as appropriate, and scripts and enhancives may be added to a uniform item, just like any other item.

Should the reservist prefer, an existing item with more desirable properties may be altered into a uniform item. Not all alterers are comfortable doing this, and the reservist must surrender the original uniform piece at the time of the alteration.

While not at drill, a reservist may way a crimson cape that denotes their rank with a standard gold braid tied with the appropriate number of knots as opposed to their uniform jacket.
