An herblore tome is a scripted book used to determine the herbs in the rooms in a select region. These tomes are old items, the last of which were auctioned at the Solstice Dreams event in 2005. AnalyzeYou analyze your suede-bound tome and sense that the creator has provided the following information: Originally for the 5100 auction, a crimson suede-bound tome graced with a single golden wyvern is an Herblore Tome of Elanthia. look: - when open, this tells you there's writing in it; when closed, it tells you what town it's made for. open: - It's a book. close: - It's a book. turn: - Fluff messaging. flip: - When it's closed, this is fluff messaging; when opened, it allows the holder to FLIP PAGE or FLIP PAGE # to go directly to that page. The books have pages numbered 1 - 50, 1 being a clickable index, and 50 being the picture "tell all" page.. glance: - If opened, it tells the name of the current page. clean: - Fluff messaging. clench: - Fluff messaging. nod: - Fluff messaging. tap: - Fluff messaging. read: - When closed, this is fluff messaging; when opened, it will provide information on all foraged items able to be found in the location provided the realm matchings the books identifier. You get no sense of whether or not the tome may be further lightened. ShowClosedCarefully stitched on the weathered cover of the tome are the words, "Herblore of <city>." OpenHerb pageA clear handwritten script lines the pages of the suede-bound tome. Pictorial indexSeveral intricate pictures grace the page of this tome. Usage
InstructionsIn order to use the herblore tome, you must OPEN the tome, FLIP to PAGE 1, and READ the index found there. Index--- Herbs of Greater Elanthia. --- Acantha Leaf page 2 Aloeas Stem page 3 Ambrominas Leaf page 4 Angelica Root page 5 Arctic Moss page 6 Basal Moss page 7 Bright Red Teaberries page 8 Cacactae Spine page 9 Calamia Fruit page 10 Cothinar Flower page 11 Cuctucae Berry page 12 Daisies page 13 Ephlox Moss page 14 Feverfern Stalk page 15 Fiddlehead Ferns page 16 Gok Nuts page 17 Haphip Root page 18 Manroot Stalk page 19 Marallis Berry page 20 Moonflowers page 21 Pennyroyal Stem page 22 Pine Cones page 23 Pine Needles page 24 Pothinir Grass page 25 Red Lichen page 26 Roses page 27 Sassafras Leaf page 28 Small Violets page 29 Sovyn Clove page 30 Spearmint page 31 Sprigs of Alyssum page 32 Stalks of Cattail page 33 Stalks of Chicory page 34 Strands of Seaweed page 35 Strigae Cactus page 36 Sweetfern Stalk page 37 Tkaro Root page 38 Torban Leaf page 39 Tundra Grass page 40 Valerian Root page 41 Wild Gooseberries page 42 Wild Orchids page 43 Wild Strawberries page 44 Wintergreen Leaf page 45 Wolifrew Lichen page 46 Woth Flower page 47 Wyrmwood Bark page 48 Yabathilium Fruit page 49 Pictorial Index page 50 Each page contains information about the specific herb. Below is acantha leaf as an example: Acantha is one of several herbs in a group which will heal mild concussion damage when eaten (the leaves are the most beneficial). It can be found in a wide range of climates, from near-desert conditions to moist ocean beaches. Page 50 is a pictorial index. When used in a room with items that can be foraged, the pictorial index will appear as below: This page is devoid of words, save for the small caption under each of the countless images of plants, roots, and other flora. Glancing at the page full of pictures of herbs, the calamia fruit, haphip root, trollfear mushroom, soft white mushroom, withered black mushroom, daggerstalk mushroom, flathead mushroom, genkew mushroom, blue trafel mushroom, wild gooseberry, water chestnut, stalk of cattail, small wild rose, lady slipper blossom, wood violet, pepperthorn root, wavepetal blossom, bolmara lichen, talneo root, wingstem root, bur-clover root, pink peppercorn, black peppercorn, vanilla bean, cumin seeds, and star anise pictures light up. In a room without items that can be foraged, the pictorial index shows only the top line. Tomes
Additional InformationThe herblore tome was once considered an auction-level item. With the advent of forage sense it has become all but obsolete. There was speculation at one time that RUBbing the tome when it is on an herb page (say, acantha leaf), would give the user a bonus to foraging for that herb. This has not been substantiated. |
