The SKIN verb is used to extract various valuable and sometimes useful items from creatures throughout Elanthia. Successfully extracting a skin and the value of the skin is determined by a character's training in First Aid and Survival, the weapon used, whether or not the character is kneeling, the character's dexterity, and how difficult the creature is to skin.
- Usage
- SKIN <target> [WITH <weapon>]
- SKIN <target> LEFT
- SKIN <target> RIGHT
- SKIN TARGET
Examples of skins with further functions include firethorns, which are obtained from skinning a firethorn shoot[1], and shiny vor'taz horns, which are sometimes obtained while skinning a horned vor'taz[2]. Firethorns heal poison when eaten, while shiny vor'taz horns are imbeddable.
