Step 13
The Symbol of Mana is obtained at the thirteenth step of the Order of Voln. Upon a successful invocation of this symbol a character will gain 50 mana. A failed invocation will occur if the addition of mana 50 mana would increase a character's normal mana pool to more than 133%. For example, a character, at full mana, with a normal mana pool of 150 would not be able to successfully invoke this symbol. However, at 149 mana the character will be successful and the mana pool will temporarily increase to 199. The increased mana, if not used, will incrementally dissipate at 5 per pulse until the normal max mana is reached.
Initial use of this symbol will cost only favor and no deeds. After this use, the symbol will enter a soft cooldown period of 5 minutes, where additional activations will require 1 deed per use. Clerics may be interested to note that the symbol will become useable while dead, should any Miracles be required.
