Glaes, often called mein, is a volcanic glass that is extremely durable but extremely heavy. Smiths who craft weapons or armor of this material are often skilled at both blowing glass and forging, as the use of this material often involve both skills.
Glaes is most commonly found on Teras Isle due to the high level of volcanic activity present. Many varieties of the metal were found there, the rarest of which being rainbow glaes. Glaes has a strength comparable to golvern, but golvern far exceeds glaes in durability. The only other metal that can compare to the strength of golvern is veil iron, which is also more durable than glaes.
