<< I'd imagine that they would be classified as over garments but I'm not sure. >>

As soon as I have a moment to update the armor concealer script, they will convert themselves into fluff/non-functional garments worn in the "over chest" slot.

Pocketed armor concealing garments (which are never ruhan, as they do not have pockets by design) will convert to functional "over chest" garments.

Being that all ruhan are de facto scripted items (armor concealers), they won't be available in permanent/town shops. Ruhana fall into the same boat, once I have a chance to finish the script and release it.

All in all, I wouldn't worry too much. I don't expect the garments to be super rare, and will attempts to bring a wagon around occasionally selling both garments. (Maybe I can work out some kind of seasonal thing with some rotating designs.)

<< I find that interesting, I can understand not wanting to mass release your armor concealers but I don't understand the decision limit ruhan to only being available as concealers. >>

I designed the garment with armor concealing in mind, but I'll think about non-scripted versions. It's less of a concern with the ruhan than with the ruhana, which is designed in a manner that demands special scripting.

<< Good to know. My elf tries to change clothes pretty regular and only having one ruhan is getting old. I'd like for him to have four or five more. >>

Traditionally, elves who favor a ruhan tend to keep one such garment and take particular care with maintaining it. The garment is utilitarian, worn more often by those who stay in the wilderness for weeks or months at a time than those who wander city streets for others to look on their latest fashion.

Of course, not all elves fall into (out of?) that mold. The tradition hails primarily from the Ardenai, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Loenthrans or Nalfein take a more frivolous approach to the garment (if they even consider wearing it in the first place.) The Illistim and Vaalor elves likely fall somewhere in the middle. In any case, the decision comes down to the individual merchant and customer.
