Under Stormy Weather there is an ordered list of how heavy/stormy weather impacts your ship. It was listed in the forum post in this ordered list. Do these actions happen in an ordered way as a storm increases in severity, is it a random chance at the three things, or do all three things happen simultaneously? If it is the latter two, it should be in an unordered list with some clarification added. MOD-GSMOTTE (talk) 07:30, 13 September 2020 (CDT)
For OSA's Ship Roles... do you still get the bonuses for ship roles, when are declared something other than what those bonuses are under? For example, if I've got the Captain role mastered, and I switch to Boatswain or Cannoneer, do I still get the Captain bonuses? Or do you just get the bonuses from your currently declared role? - As I understand it, you will only get the bonuses for the role as which you are currently declared. MOD-GSMOTTE (talk) 09:23, 7 March 2021 (CST)
Travel Captain Conversations: Oceans
The lithe captain says, "The Great Western Seas are broken up into different parts. They connect most of the west to the various ports from Wehnimer's Landing straight through to River's Rest in the south, and they go as far out as Teras Isle." The lithe captain says, "Each port is surrounded by their own bays. Those are the ones most people know about. So, you know you have Darkstone Bay, which is somewhat of a brackish bay where the waters of the Locksmehr River empty out into the sea. That's by the Landing." The lithe captain says, "Now, the Darkstone bay area is surrounded by waters we sailors call the Cobalt Depths. It's a smaller sea that makes up part of the Great Western Seas, but you know when you are in it by the type of blue that the waters are." The lithe captain says, "Further south, and along the coast, you have Solhaven and her bay. Now that's an expansive bay. Solhaven Bay is fed by the Cairnfang River, but the bay itself goes deep into the land and touches upon the southern end of Solhaven and cleaves deep into a little community known as Marshtown. Vornavis lays claim to much of the bay, too. Folks don't get to see much of that end due to the military forces at play there." The lithe captain says, "The section of the Great Western Seas that wraps around Solhaven Bay is known as Sea of Lazuli on account of the bedrock that rests out in those areas. The sea fairly shimmers when you look at those waters." The lithe captain says, "River's Rest of course has its Maelstrom Bay and Tempest River. The Tempest River is wide and deep, cutting a path straight into those jungles that surround the town on her northern end." The lithe captain says, "There's been rumors that Krolvin ships will sail all the way up into those jungles on account of the river being so deep there. I'd wager that the bay brings a lot of salt up into that section, too." The lithe captain says, "In honor of a noble house, the sea that wraps Maelstrom Bay is known as Kestrel Bay. The waters there can be a bit choppy as they are bouncing off the currents of the Southron Waste." The lithe captain says, "The sea that encircles Teras Isle is known as the Obsidian Sea, hopefully for obvious reasons, but just in case it ain't so obvious, I'll explain. You see, when the lava from that island volcano spilt into the waters, it instantly turned to glass. So that sea is practically a mirror to the skies above." The lithe captain says, "There's a span of the Great Western Seas where all manner of tales of dark beasts, large sea monsters, and strange weather unfold. That's where the Obsidian Trench is and no one alive knows how deep she goes. There's been rumors of gnomish water vessels delving into her depths, but no one has ever seen them return." The lithe captain says, "Rosallio over in Kraken's Fall says that's where the Great Albino Kraken was born, but that could just be fish tales." The lithe captain says, "Speaking of Kraken's Fall, the Tenebrous Cauldron and the Great Blue are the seas that encircle that little island." The lithe captain says, "Now, don't get me wrong, there's more to the Great Western Seas than we've all found and I'm sure if we had half a mind, we could sail past the Southron Wastes and into Elven waters, but truth be told, there's too much piracy out here to risk such a voyage. You'd have your supplies taken from you and be sunk faster than you could say Knalyd's a sassy wench, which she is mind you. Still, I'll just stay in these waters for now." The lithe captain says, "Well, that about covers the oceans as far as I know!"
