This spell causes a "shadowy patch of ether" to encompass the caster. It affords basic DS and TD benefits as well as the ability to empower the cloak with the ability to give retribution to a Sorcerer's foes.
Defense Generated
- +25 DS (+1 per Sorcerer Base rank > 12)
- +20 TD (+1 per ten Sorcerer Base ranks > 12)
- The scaling benefits max at your level.
- Each 3 aditional DS generated will cause the spell to cost 1 more mana.
Chanting a Retribution
- To enable the cloak to retaliate, enter CHANT RETRIBUTION <spell_#>
- You must be stunned and taking damage from an attack for this effect to have the possibility of being triggered.
- If a non-attack spell is chanted, the cloak will lash out at its master, causing injury or possibly spirit drain (common when chanting 130).
- The probability for the cloak to retaliate begins at 45%, and is increased 1% by each Sorcerous Lore, Demonology rank known, at a maximum of 95% (50 ranks).
- To disable the retaliation effect, enter CHANT REMOVE.

Wearing off:
With a moment's concentration, you terminate the Cloak of Shadows spell.
A dark shadow seems to detach itself from your body, swiftly dissipating into the air.
