BUG is a verb that allows a player to submit errors in gameplay to GameMasters. The bug reports are reviewed and sent directly to the person in charge of the problematic item. Being descriptive will allow the BUG reviewer to better route the issue. Report text can be no more than 875 characters.
TO BE REPLACED BUG {category};{title};{text} {title} can be no more than 128 characters in length {category} must be one of the following: GemStone IV specific categories CHARACTER - problems related to your character Character bugs are actually stuff that's specifically character-related (like "my starting stats don't equal what they should" or "I think my mana isn't properly calculated", not "my falchion isn't 4x, I swear I've tested it on kobold's heads for days!" CREATURE - creatures and NPC problems MAGIC - problems with a spell, sign or symbol COMBAT - combat errors ROOM - problems with a room or area TYPO - misspellings and grammar errors OTHER - problems with things not easily categorized Client specific categories PnC - point and click problems / menu problems STORMFRONT - problems with the StormFront Front End ESCAPE - problems with the eScape Front End WIZARD - problems with the Wizard Front End WARLOCK - problems with the Warlock Front End
BUGITEM (verb)
Use BUGITEM to report a problem with an item.
>bugitem Usage: BUGITEM {item};{problem description} - Report a bug in an item This will submit a problem to play.net's bug tracking database. Be as detailed as possible, describing what you were doing, the behavior you expected, and the behavior you experienced. You must be in the same room as the item you are targeting. Do not use this mechanism to make suggestions or feature requests for items. Those should be posted to the forums. You may also submit an issue by clicking on a specific creature or item and selecting "submit bug report" from its menu.
TYPO (verb)
Please use BUG to report typos.
If it is a typo with an alteration, ASSIST to have a GameMaster fix it. If it is a typo with an off-the-shelf item or a script, then use BUGITEM.
