Spell Prep Prop
Spell props are items that are scripted to include a custom spell prep, which triggers special messaging when PREPping a spell that references a worn item. Created by GM Sindin, they debuted at Rumor Woods in the form of items with a prewritten spell prep messaging. In later runs, they were also available in the form of a certificate with prewritten spell prep messaging that could be applied to an existing unscripted item. The advantage of spell props is that they allow for messaging to directly reference an item instead of just the player, opening up a world of possibilities to let your inventory tell a story with your spell casting. AnalyzeYou analyze the maoral crown and sense that the creator has provided the following information: ************************* Spell Prep Prop ************************* The maoral crown holds the Spell Prep Prop script/subscript. The maoral crown can have its description altered freely. ******************************************************************* This maoral crown allows you to cast spells from the Ranger Base Spell Circle with the following messaging: First person: The branches of your maoral crown sprout fresh green leaves in harmony with your incantation of [Spell Name]. Third person: The branches of XXX's maoral crown sprout fresh green leaves in harmony with his magical incantations. Third (hidden): A man's voice incants harmoniously somewhere near you. UsageSpell props will activate whenever the user is wearing one and PREPs a spell that is associated with that specific prop. As with custom spell preps, the spell preparation messaging can vary greatly and has the potential to be fully customized with very rare auction wins. Spell prop messaging references the item itself. Additional InformationFully custom spell props as a rare service have sometimes been available at auction events. This is considered a delayed service as the messaging must be reviewed by QC. At the 2023 Duskruin event, spell props were sold combined with illusion props at the shop Be Warez, with the spell props subscripted to the illusion prop script. See Also |
