Solindago Anox, sometimes referred to as the Solhaven Zoo, is a nature preserve located in Solhaven south of Liabo Esplanade. Its entry is just west of Ronan's Temple. The Solindago Anox was created by the Solindago family for the joy, education, and wonder of the youths of the Freeport of Solhaven and Vornavis. It opened in 5100 as a small zoo with a petting area. Several years later, Solindago Anox closed temporarily as it underwent significant rennovations. When it reopened, it was rebranded as a nature preserve. It houses a wide variety of animals separated generally by animal type. Some of the more reclusive animals dwell in habitat areas that have magical scrying spheres so that attendees can view them from afar without disturbing them. Solindago Anox saw additional renovations in late 5123 and early 5124, which brought back the original petting zoo, introduced new planters with flowers and leaves scattered around the grounds, introduced a new keepsake vendor and a souvenir postcard vender, and also saw a memorial established dedicated to Kasendra Malwind.

Displays

Solindago Anox has several distinct open air sections, separating animals by species or areas of geographic origin. They include the Savannah, Big Cats, and Bears along the western half, Primates, Canines, Small Mammals, and Natural Oddities on the eastern half, and the Griffin's Roost connecting the two at the north end.

There are several stand alone structures scattered throughout housing additional animals and displays. The aviary is north of the entry crossroads inside a large glass-domed enclosure; a walking path through it allows for guests to interact with some of the birds or to feed them. A cart with different types of bird food is available free of charge. The aquarium is north of the aviary, inside of a pale limestone building. The reptile house is east of the entry crossroads inside a large circular hut. It houses a variety of reptiles along its winding interior and a butterfly garden at its back end.

A petting zoo is located west of the entry crossroads. It was renovated in 5123 as part of a series of improvements around the general Solhaven region and is a throwback to the zoo's original design. Inside, guests can interact with a ring-tailed lemur, a rabbit, and a baby rolton.

Memorials

A memorial to Kasendra Malwind is located just outside the aquarium. It includes a multi-paneled mural that was painted by Akinir Scallabrini in 5124. The panels feature a series of scenes illustrating Kasendra's life and accomplishments.

A large bronze banaltra statue memorializes the attack of the feithidmor. It is located in a back room of the reptile house.

Keepsakes

North of the petting zoo, a freckled half-elf vendor can create keepsakes to personalize your memories of visiting Solindago Anox. She stands next to a semi-curclar bar just underneath of a wide-canopied acacia, between the Big Cats and Bears exhibits. She offers services very similar to those available on the grounds of Veythorne Manor in Ta'Illistim. This service costs 5,000 silvers. She is able to work with any flower or leaf that is considered a foraged plant, which includes the plucked flowers and picked leaves from the various foraged item props scattered around the zoo grounds.
