Northern Dawn

Northern Dawn is a resistance movement centered in Icemule Trace and greater Nortwatch. It is not an organization, there is no central leadership, but rather it is a people’s movement to rally to the defense of Icemule Trace and Nortwatch from the attacks, incursions, threats, and infiltration of the Dusk Coven. If you stand with the citizens of Northwatch and the free peoples of the North against the destructive cult known as the Dusk Coven, then make your voice heard! Disrupt the coven, and rally the sovereign governments of Northwatch to the cause.

Anyone can join the movement by speaking out against the Dusk Coven and rallying to the cause. Make your voices heard! Together we will bring Dawn to the Dusk and rid our home of the Dusk Coven and those who support their vile deeds.

Objectives

Pamphlet Distributed Throughout Icemule Trace (Niiman, the 30th of Ivastaen 5124)

To the brave and proud citizens of Icemule Trace and the free peoples of Northwatch: The vile threats of the Dusk Coven continue. We seek peace and they reciprocated with death. They threaten the destruction of our home, loved ones, way of life, and all we hold dear. Meanwhile their agents infiltrate our governments and freely roam our once peaceful streets with impunity. Our brave Mayor Dabbings offered them amnesty if they would but denounce the Coven. They refused. Let us now stand together to rid our home of the dark plague. The North shall not cower in fear! Become a part of the Northern Dawn movement, speak out against the Dusk Coven, and let us rid Northwatch of their darkness!

Proclamation from the North

(Niiman, the 30th of Ivastaen, 5124)

Myharl posts a parchment to the board in Icemule Trace town center.
In the Common language, it reads:

To the proud denizens of Icemule and Northwatch, the evil deeds, murder, and mayhem brought to our Northern home by the Dusk Coven and Sablecross, who actively harbor them, have darkened our hopeful hearts for far too long. It is time to rise together and make a stand. Bring Dawn to the Dusk that has plagued our home. We didn't ask for conflict, but the Dusk Coven assaults and threatens us with impunity. No more! We must expel the Dusk Coven and those who aid them from our city, our nation, and our Free North. Let us bring our Northern Dawn to vanquish the dark night the Dusk Coven wish us to suffer.

(Feastday, the 1st of Lumnea, 5124)

Several citizens gather to read Ellusine's posting on the message board.
In the Common language, it reads:

Citizens of Icemule Trace,

We must stand against the forces of the Dusk Coven. I exhort you to make your voices heard. Though the consequences may be grave, those stemming from a failure to act can only be worse. Mayor Dabbings must take a stand and make it clear that Northwatch does not tolerate evil within its boundaries.

Blessings of wisdom upon you,
Ellusine Lighthollow of Lumnis

Protest in Icemule Trace

(Feastday, the 1st of Lumnea, 5124)

One young halfling shouts, "Down with Mayor Dabbings! Drive the Coven from Icemule Trace!" He is quickly shushed by his friends, who drag him away, mortified at his brazenness.
A few others join in the chants, and several others echo a different call: "Down with Dabbings! Keep Icemule safe!"

News of Northern Dawn Spreads

(Restday, the 2nd of Lumnea, 5124)

Two old biddies walk by wearily, it being well past their bedtime. One says to the other, "Fitzbrink's son is at it again. That boy is spreading gossip. That mother of his, can you imagine letting your boy run around near the South Gate at this late an hour?"
Yonder eagerly tells you, "Folks are all astir because Ellusine Lighthollow, the priestess of Lumnis, has started agitating for the expulsion of the Dusk Coven from Northwatch like Mayor Dabbings promised. At least one prominent adventurer, Myharl, and Councillor Jastalyn seem to be on the same page. But some folks have started calling for Mayor Dabbings's ouster, saying that he's weak for not taking a harsher stance on the Coven!"
