Custom transfer messaging
Custom transfer messaging provides unique or otherwise different messaging when an empath TRANSFERs injuries or scars from another character. This is one type of advanced spell customization. Pre-written custom transfer messaging is available at various festivals, pay events, and at Bayview Villa on Mist Harbor. Fully custom transfer messaging is a delayed service when the player is writing their own. Custom transfer messaging options are part of the Player Customization System and are managed via the CUSTOM verb.
Custom transfer messaging sets are very lengthy. They consist of 21 total messages, which are broken down into 1st person, 2nd person, and 3rd person messaging for 7 different possible types of transferred injuries:
- Initial Transfer - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- Some Blood - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- All Blood - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- Wound - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- Scar - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- Nerve Damage - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging
- Nerve Scar - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person messaging

Custom Style: Clinical Initial Transfer While maintaining a degree of detachment from her pain, you attend to Adventurer's injuries. Empath attends to your injuries with a detached air. Empath attends to Adventurer's injuries with a detached air.
Some Blood Your sense of your own dwindling health is distant as you work to restore some of Adventurer's lost blood supply. You feel a surge of burgeoning health as Empath works to restore some of your lost blood supply. Adventurer appears somewhat healthier under Empath's care.
All Blood Your sense of your own dwindling health is distant as you work to restore all of Adventurer's lost blood supply. You feel much refreshed as Empath works to restore the entirety of your lost blood supply. Adventurer appears entirely refreshed under Empath's care.
Wound You ignore the distant pain in your neck as Adventurer's wound cleanly heals. Empath coolly ignores his growing neck damage as your own neck wound cleanly heals. Empath coolly ignores his growing neck damage as Adventurer's neck wound cleanly heals.
Scar The scar marring Adventurer's neck fades away, smoothly transferring to you. The scar marring your neck fades away, smoothly transferring to Empath. The scar marring Adventurer's neck fades away, smoothly transferring to Empath.
Nerve Damage You ignore the distant shuddering of your nervous system as Adventurer's spasms swiftly settle. Empath coolly ignores his growing nervous system damage as your own spasms swiftly settle. Empath coolly ignores his growing nervous system damage as Adventurer's spasm swiftly settle.
Nerve Scar The deep scarring affecting Adventurer's nervous system fades away, smoothly transferring to you. The deep scarring affecting your nervous system fades away, smoothly transferring to Empath. The deep scarring affecting Adventurer's nervous system fades away, smoothly transferring to Empath.
