Baker's Rack

A baker's rack is a scripted item designed to aid characters using the cooking system. The rack serves as a storage device for pantry staples, stacking up to 100 doses and storing them weightlessly. It also can take a cookbook or recipe card and perform the recipe. It can also hold cookbooks, recipe cards, Cooking utensils, and foraged cooking recipe ingredients as a normal container, not weightlessly. Analyze This is a Baker's Rack. It is designed to store cooking utensils and ingredients. Pantry staples can be stacked. PUT items into it to store them. Cooking pantry staples can be stacked weightlessly; other cooking-related items are stored normally. LOOK IN the pantry to see the stored items. TURN - To retrieve a single dose of a stored pantry staple, TURN the pantry to cycle through the items, or TURN the pantry TO the number from LOOK to select that item directly. PLUCK - PLUCK out a single dose of the selected ingredient. PUSH - When it's time to make a recipe, PUSH a recipe card or cookbook at the pantry to decide which recipe to make, then PUSH the pantry. You will evaluate whether you have the correct utensil and all necessary ingredients or determine which, if any, are missing. If the recipe requires heat, all of the items will be moved to the correct receptacle for your next step; if not, you will quickly make the recipe creation. This item has Stay-Put qualities. If you PLACE it, it will be moved to the ground in your current room and stay there, unable to be picked up by others or taken by the janitor, for 4 hours. You may NUDGE it at a valid container to place the pantry on top of the container until you NUDGE it out of its place again. After the duration expires, the item is fair game for others and for the janitor. Alternately, the item may be PLACEd by the owner of a private property within the grounds of the property or by the owner of a stall or loft in and will stay there until PLACEd or NUDGEd again. This pantry may be altered. It must remain some sort of container that could have cubbies and store cooking utensils, like shelving, a rack, a trunk, a cupboard, a pantry, etc. This item cannot be lightened or deepened. Usage Verb Style First Third LOOK IN In the small pantry you see a cheese wheel, a milk pail, a butter churn, a flour-caked worn leather cookbook, an eggshell white card, a wheat brown card, a cast iron pot, a handful of plump black mulberries, a boiled potato, a fusiform sweet potato, a pie press, some sweet potato filling and a branch of kerria. The small pantry contains the following cooking staples: 1. 82 - brown sugar 2. 100 - sugar 3. 82 - yeast 4. 1 - nutmeg 5. 69 - salt 6. 7 - egg 7. 9 - wheat bread dough 8. 1 - cinnamon 9. 74 - flour 10. 9 - pie dough 11. 52 - butter 12. 1 - cobbler dough 14. 2 - molasses 15. 5 - rye flour None PLACE Item Limits - Place Allowed You place a small pantry on the ground. [You can leave the pantry here in Vanah's Pantry until you PLACE it again to pick it back up, because this is your private property.] Vanah places a small pantry down on the ground. PLACE No Item # Limits - Place Denied Because the storage capabilities of individual items are not limited, you cannot PLACE the pantry out. You may use it alongside you at your feet. None PUT Cooking Item You add your egg to the correct cubby in the small pantry, increasing the stored quantity to 8 doses. None PUT Unrelated item The small pantry is designed to store cooking-related items only. None OFFER Extend offer You offer use of the small pantry to others. Anyone may now TURN, PLUCK, or PUSH the pantry. None OFFER Rescind offer You rescind your offer, restricting use of the small pantry to only yourself. None TINKER Prep pluck for one dose You tinker with the small pantry, preparing to remove only a single dose of molasses. None TINKER Prep pluck for entire item You tinker with the small pantry, preparing to remove the entire quantity of molasses. None PLUCK You retrieve some dark molasses from the small pantry. None PUSH cookbook You prepare yourself to utilize the contents of a small pantry to make some pumpernickel bread dough. PUSH the pantry to continue. None PUSH Missing items You take stock of the contents of the small pantry and note that you are missing the following to follow the recipe for some pumpernickel bread dough: molasses None PUSH Success Grabbing all of the ingredients necessary to make some pumpernickel bread dough from the small pantry, you add them to a mixing bowl and mix them together to create some pumpernickel bread dough. You place the bowl on top of the pantry. Vanah grabs various ingredients from the small pantry and mixes them together into some pumpernickel bread dough.
