Dyes are used to change the colors of items. They might come from the dyer's tent, created with alchemy, or be specially made for cobbling. Dyes may not be used to change the color of any scripted item, or any item with a long description.
All non-alchemy dyes may be converted at a dyer's tent clerk using ORDER BOTTLE to work like an alchemy dye, and thus work with the dye additives to make them glowing, sparkling, etc.
Dyes are often sold at merchant events as cobbling dyes that may include colors not regularly available. See EGShop:Come To Heel for examples.
