Elves were one of the many humanoid races of Elanthia. Most elves hailed from the Elven Empire before its degredation and swore allegiance to one of then seven noble elven houses. Even after the fall of the House of Faendryl and the loss of the House of Ashrim, in what became the Elven Nations, most elves continued to swear allegiance of varying degree to the remaining five noble houses: the Houses of Ardenai, Illistim, Loenthra, Nalfein and Vaalor.
