Icemulian Collective for the Improvement of Civilian Life and Entertainment (ICICLE)

The Icemulian Collective for the Improvement of Civilian Life, Etc., commonly known as ICICLE, is a group formed by Deputy Mayor Hibbits of Icemule, of citizens and non-citizens who are concerned with the welfare of Icemule. The group was formed in Eorgaen 5117 (December 2017). Citizen and non-citizen members were selected by a random drawing of those interested, who had previously signed up.

Our purpose is to ensure Icemule is a safe place for our townspeople and visitors, to help enrich the lives of those who visit and live there, and to help maintain the integrity of our rich and diverse history.

A cobblestone circle marks the entrance to an ornate white marble structure. Sparkling clean windows mark either side of the entrance, over which the words "Clovertooth Hall" are deeply engraved. The circle is empty but for a few bleary-eyed clerks and visitors doing after-hours business with the government of Icemule Trace. You also see a gilded rectangular sign with icicles formed upon it, a towering motionless shadow and a copper-edged modwir podium.

The 19th of Eorgaen 5117 - Dirvy opened the meeting by directing everyone’s attention to the newly placed sign outside of Clovertooth Hall that reads:

• Dirvy states that the goal of I.C.I.C.L.E. is to work with the townspeople and visitors of Icemule to keep the town safe, prosperous, and growing and that they will also be helping Mayor Nihala a bit, while she regains her strength

• Dirvy reported that Mayor Nihala’s priority is finding Deputy Mayor Hibbits who has gone missing. He was last seen heading up the mountain towards Pinefar, and some felt him die in the Elemental Confluence. And this made it I.C.I.C.L.E.’s priority, as well.
• Dirvy asked Enestrie to recite the riddle that is on the tome page that Mayor Nihala gave her.
• Enestrie said the page contained this riddle: “Primeval power long ago forbidden. With simplest words can be unhidden.”

Public Meeting: 01/26/18 Notes written by Dirvy Britbane.

The 26th of Lormesta

• Dirvy opened the meeting by stating what ICICLE stands for: Icemulian Collective for the Improvement of Civilian Life, Etc.
• Dirvy stated that they were going to unveil some of the projects they have planned for Icemule, and have been working on over the past few weeks.
• Dirvy mentioned that Brokkrsten, the Town Planner, was not in attendance, and she would discuss his plans.
• Dirvy started off with her plans for Wurt’s Amulets. She wants to turn it into a kitten café that also sells Wurt’s famous embeddable amulets. She said all pets would be welcome, refreshments would be served, and there would be sitting areas.
• Dirvy also said she had sent missives to all the towns, introducing Icemule’s Ambassadors, and then proceeded to introduce them.
  • Arnylon is Icemule's Ambassador to Wehnimer's Landing, Solhaven, and River's Rest.
  • Joness is Icemule's Ambassador to Zul Logoth and Teras.
  • Arshwikk is Icemule's Ambassdor to Ta'Illistim, Cysaegir, and Ta'Vaalor."
• Dirvy said the Ambassadors would be visiting their towns, in the hopes of creating a stronger relationship between those towns and Icemule.
• Dirvy also said that there were other things she was working on, but she could not discuss them at the time.
• Dirvy asked Arnylon, the Historian, to discuss his projects.
  • Arnylon said besides visiting his towns to establish diplomatic relations, he was working on two other projects.
  • He stated that he was working on a written commentary and updating the events that have been going on in town. He said he’s chronicled the arrival of the wisp outside of Clovertooth Hall and the span of electrum in Town Center, as well as the events that have happened. (He did an awesome job too, make sure you give it a read.)
  • He said the second project he was working on was a museum for Icemule. He stated the most promising location for the new museum seems to be where the current Historical Society is located. He said many donations and lots of help would be needed to make this project a reality, and that Brokkrsten and Jalodg have offered to help. He said submissions of art, sculpture, or written works are strongly encouraged. He also said that if anyone was interested in aiding in the design of the building, to let him know.
  • Dirvy said that ICICLE would be holding contests for everyone to submit their artwork, statues, written recordings, etc. in the future.
• Dirvy asked Laralana, the Vice Chairwoman, to discuss her projects.
  • Laralana said she was working on a redesign of Flashfeets’ shop, the local clothing store in Icemule. She said it would involve a new and updated inventory, as well as remodeling the store itself. Laralana asked if anyone had any design ideas, to contact her.
  • She also said she was working on the budget for ICICLE’s projects, along with the help of Town Planner Brokkrsten and Public Liaison Joness.
  • She stated that ICICLE was working very hard to ensure that any donations made are used to benefit the town.
  • She said that ICICLE had some very exciting projects they were working on, but that they were all quite costly. And asked anyone interested in donating to fund these projects, contact her or any member of ICICLE. (Make sure you give up the monies, these projects are expensive.)
• Dirvy asked Jalodg, the Surveyor, to discuss his projects.
  • Jalodg said he was working on a Greenhouse along the Icemule-Landing Trail, to be located inside of the Cave of Ice. He said he would like this project to be a joint effort between Icemule and the Landing, to bring the communities together.
  • He stated that the reason for the Greenhouse project was because it was difficult to rescue the fallen in that area, and that the Greenhouse would serve as a safe place that could be fogged to, so that people can be healed and resurrected, and others could rest there.
  • He also said that healing herbs could be grown or stored in the greenhouse, to help those who hunt in the area or travel along the trail, will have easy access to the herbs they need. (He also wants a place for companions and furry friends to rest.)
• Dirvy asked Enestrie, the Intercessor, to discuss her projects.
  • Enestrie stated that she is currently learning how to be a Seer. She said this would help Icemule citizens and visitors grow spiritually, and engaged in their purpose in Icemule. She also said she was looking to promote positive spiritual growth for all people in Icemule. (She is doing a great job so far, ask her for a reading.)
  • She said she was also assisting Jalodg with the Greenhouse project.
  • She stated she was helping Larlana with the FlashFeets Fine Fashions project, as well.
• Dirvy asked Joness, the Town Liaison, to discuss his projects.
  • Joness stated that his job was to inform everyone what was going on around Icemule and to arrive fashionably late to meetings (he was late to the public meeting).
  • He said he was in charge of fundraising, and that ICICLE has a lot of great events coming up so that people could help donate funds to the projects.
  • He suggested having a dunk tank where people could dunk Laralana in its frozen water, and invited everyone who has hosted a fundraiser to contact him or donate to ICICLE’s building fund. Laralana countered and suggested that they put Dirvy into the dunk tank instead (Dirvy declined comment at this time).
  • He stated that most of the budget was earmarked for tarts (it is not).
  • He also said he was helping Jalodg on the Greenhouse project, and would make sure there was more than just bird food there.
• Dirvy asked Arshwikk, the Strategist, to discuss his projects.
  • Joness piped in that Arshwikk’s projects were expensive.
  • Arshwikk stated that his first job required no funding, and that was to establish a working relationship between Icemule and the Elven Nations. He said being an elf, he felt that was a good start.
  • He said that his second responsibility does require some help from the community, and that was to ensure Icemule has proper defenses. He said Icemule does a fine job defending in force, and that they have some defenses already, but he would like to improve on those.
  • He said that he didn’t see a point in making ballista projectiles from trees, when chunks of ice could be hurled instead.
  • He said he welcomed ideas from citizens and visitors, regarding the defense of Icemule, and invited them to contact him.
  • Arnylon suggested big pits filled with giant snakes, and said that this was “likely not possible, but it’d be neat”. Oubar added that the snakes should be on fire. Jalodg also said they should be frozen sharp snakes. (As Dirvy was recording these proceedings, she was thinking everyone should be fired.)
  • Arshwikk ended with it was a pleasure to serve Icemule in his role.
• Dirvy discussed Brokkrsten’s projects.
  • She said Brokkrsten is overseeing the plans for an Icemule Citizens Lounge that will be a standalone building, somewhere near the heart of town. She said it will have the lounge itself, a hot springs, a waterfall, and a fishing area. She said Jalodg was working closely with Brokkrsten.
  • Dirvy said that all citizens and visitors of Icemule were welcome to submit ideas to ICICLE regarding any of the projects they were currently working on, or projects they would like to see in Icemule.
  • She said Brokkrsten was also working on expanding the Mayor’s Suite, that would include an auditorium that seats 100, and a private meeting space that would seat 15.
  • Dirvy mentioned that, in the future, ICICLE was planning to build an embassy, similar to the one in Ta’Illistim, but instead of dividing it into races, they would divide it into towns. She said that Icemule does not see race and has always welcomed all races, so ICICLE members agreed that cities would be more suitable for Icemule’s way of thinking.

• Dirvy opened the meeting for questions from the audience.
  • Xanlin asked when Town Center might be safe again. Dirvy answered by saying that Town Center was still unsafe, and that she was looking to have the body of the Warden removed so that it could be examined properly, since it was unsafe to do so at its current location. Enestrie said that ICICLE did not know when Town Center would be safe again.
  • Dirvy further stated that people should avoid Town Center, and rest at Voln, White Haven, the Inn, the Pub, or the Bakery.
• Dirvy said that the body in Town Center was the Warden, but at the time, ICICLE did not know how he lost his life, who was responsible, or how he came to be near the Chamber of the Dead in the forests of Pinefar.
  • Oubar asked if ICICLE had gotten any information from the Warden, prior to his death. Dirvy answered and said that if the Warden shared any information about the penitentiary, if was with Hibbits and that Hibbits was still missing.
• Dirvy said that some people have asked about the bluebird they saw flying through Town Center, but stated that she was unable to say anything more about it, other than it was a message sent and a message received.
  • Woulfgar asked how long the figure in the vortex had been trying to escape its shackles. Dirvy answered and said that for several weeks, the prisoner had been trying to escape, and that she claimed to be Dauhkera Darkflorr.
  • Karthas said he had heard rumors of a thaw, and asked if these were true. Dirvy answered and said she had not heard anything about a thaw, and that she doubted with all the heavy snowfall in Icemule, that that was something they should not be worried about.
  • Woulfgar asked if anyone had discovered the place that the riddle mentioned, on the current page of the tome. Dirvy answered and said the riddle has not been solved, but the tome mentioned pieces to a puzzle that will help close the vortex. Woulfgar then suggested that it was most obviously a mountain peak to start with, and he was sure it was in Pinefar. Dirvy said that Pinefar was a huge place, full of caverns, chasms, and crevices and that it would take people time. Woulfgar asked if the tomb, slumber, could mean under Koar’s altar in Aenatuemgana. Arnylon said input on a solution is always appreciated, and that many have their opinions on the clues. Dirvy said the night the tome turned to the current page, people had found the Warden’s body and one of the clues. Woulfgar said that he hoped it was discovered before another body shows up, and Dirvy agreed. Arnylon said if Woulfgar had questions about recent events due to his absence, there has been an update on everything that has happened up to date, including the location of where the cave was where the warden’s body was discovered. He also said many other things were included, and that once Woulfgar familiarized himself with the recent occurrences, he would be happy to help update him further.
• Dirvy closed the meeting by thanking everyone for coming to hear about ICICLE’s projects and discussing the current events.
