Follow L'Naere? Your best bet is other and you're unaligned. Have something complicated where picking a single convert option won't work for your RP? Your best bet is other and you're unaligned. However, are you truly unaligned?

Convert Status Naming

Official documentation (primarily here on the wiki) has the naming for convert status as: Liabo, Lornon, Neutral, Unaligned.

Liabo, Lornon, and Neutral are easy enough to figure out. They're also specific convert options. There's no question as to what these are.

However, Unaligned is meant to represent: Other, Forsaken, and someone that has not converted yet (henceforth called "not yet converted").

Follow L'Naere? Your best bet is other and you're unaligned. Have something complicated where picking a single convert option won't work for your RP? Your best bet is other and you're unaligned. However, are you truly unaligned?

I proposed several years ago a change in the naming structure for convert status. I was unable to push it through, and it was never investigated by the GMs handling clerics.

I proposed changing UNALIGNED to UNCONVENTIONAL. When compared to the average adventurer, following L'Naere is unconventional. Following multiple Arkati is unconventional. Forsaking the Arkati entirely is unconventional. Being a cleric that has not gone down a particular path is unconventional. The term works much better than unaligned.

That context out of the way (though I question now if it was actually relevant)...

There are 3 convert states and I feel that it's important to properly list them as there are mechanical differences between them...

State 1: You selected an option that wasn't Forsake. This is easy as you just list the option you selected.

State 2: You selected Forsake. I feel the best mechanical term for this is "Forsaken."

State 3: You have not selected anything. I feel the best mechanical term for this is "not yet chosen."

These states should not impact RP, but they will affect Intercession and Commune and anything else grounded in mechanics.
