The Night in a Nutshell
[General] Cordarius thinks, "Evening." [General] Cordarius thinks, "People always underestimate the warmth of a good fireplace on the wayside..." Speaking to Cordarius, Thrassus asks, "I suppose you heard about last night, yes?" Cordarius nods at Thrassus. Cordarius says, "Aye, ole Vlash is a bit...possessive." Cordarius smirks. Thrassus exclaims, "It wasn't even hers to begin with!" Cordarius says, "Perspective." Cordarius shrugs at Thrassus. Guarrin asks, "Are we referring to the statue or her appearance?" Cordarius begins chuckling at Guarrin! Cordarius says, "I won't be long. The night's getting late, we've got a lot of work to do."
Cordarius says, "I've sent word to Jovery." Cordarius says, "Updating on the developments recently." Cordarius says, "Not, a bit of time ago." Cordarius says, "It might not sound like the best alternative..." Cordarius says, "But we might need some imperial aid." Cordarius ducks his head. Cordarius says, "Don't throw things." Leafiara asks, "So... your plan is, what, just more soldiers?" Cordarius says, "No offense, but your previous plans were...." Cordarius peers quizzically at Leafiara. Cordarius shrugs. Cordarius says, "It isn't even more soldiers, I believe the Outpost has enough to help maintain some order." Cordarius says, "Larsya hasn't yet made it so, and, well, that's okay for now. She's where she needs to be." Cordarius says, "She's an ally on the Consortium." Puptilian says, "Unless she is being manipulated. She is young and easy to influence." Lylia asks, "...are we even pretending otherwise?" Lylia says, "She is a literal child." Cordarius says, "I think you underestimate the dread pirate." Cordarius says, "As it stands now, I'm hoping to leverage some Bourthian troops so we're not solely relying on these hired armigers of Dunigan's." Cordarius says, "Hendorans would help too. Many of them still favor Thadston over anyone." Lylia asks, "How much do you know about Vlashandra, or about her capabilities?" Cordarius says, "Which, is an important piece still missing." Cordarius says, "We need to get him back to him." Puptilian says, "I welcome Hendorans before I would Bourthian at the moment." Cordarius says, "And with Vlashandra's latest attack, we don't have much time." Cordarius nods at Puptilian. Cordarius says, "Hendorans would easily aid. I'm just waiting for the good word." Leafiara says, "She did, more or less, vow to attack again when we need to bring the statue out." Cordarius nods at Leafiara. Cordarius peers quizzically at Lylia. Cordarius asks, "What do you mean, her capabilities?" Cordarius says, "I don't know much. I mean, she's evolved, clearly." Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "I mean, she is clearly not an ordinary Hall mage. And she was able to bring back a lich who was lost when his phylactery was destroyed." Lylia says, "The bone walls, the wretched little stoats that chew and consume limbs --" Cordarius shrugs. Puptilian says, "I will mention that this lich was created by Althedeus so we are not sure yet if it's a lich like any we know of today. Also he wasn't destroyed but dragged to the shadow realm." Cordarius says, "I wish I knew more of her past, and where she learns what she learns." Cordarius nods at Puptilian. Speaking to Puptilian, Bellaja says, "Yes, the real threat lies in the power that fuels him." Cordarius says, "It's speculation right now, on what powers Vlashandra, and what powers Slim." Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do you think that the word we will get back is that we are expected to work with the Consortium as if they are law?" Cordarius says, "I have made it very clear in my missive that the imperial troops are not to be commanded by the Consortium." Cordarius nods at Darcena. Darcena says, "Amos is threatening us, the militia." Darcena says, "It's a .... precarious situation."
Cordarius says, "I am also working on drafting some election changes and proposals and perhaps some various other legal tweaks, which I intend to request Larsya to present to the Consortium." Cordarius says, "Vlashandra won't find the statue here, in town." Cordarius says, "But if you intend to do what you hope to do, we'll need to bring the statue back, or, close." Cordarius says, "We'll need to protect it. Its arrival, and during any ritual." Cordarius says, "I won't share more. Not yet." Speaking to Cordarius, Bellaja asks, "Ritual?" Alosaka asks, "So, Vlashandra needs the statue in order to culminate whatever plan she has for this town, plans which certainly involve the slaughter of thousands more citizens... and we intend to bring the statue back here?" Darcena asks, "What's the 'bad stuff' for just letting that woman take over Thadston and then killing him?" Cordarius asks, "What else would you call some act trying to shove a spirit into a statue from Thadston?" Cordarius peers quizzically at Bellaja. Leafiara says, "The 'bad stuff' would be that then we don't have the Hendoran support Cordarius was mentioning earlier." Cordarius says, "We also don't have Thadston." Cordarius shrugs at Leafiara. Speaking to Leafiara, Darcena says, "It was more of a rhetorical question to answer Alosaka, but I appreciate the answer nonetheless." Cordarius asks, "I mean, we are trying to save the man, because of the man right?" Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Yes, I understand that, but he's still only one person. Great fighter or no." Cordarius says, "Not just his Hendoran support." Cordarius smirks. Cordarius says, "One person that you exiled from office and set all of this into motion." Cordarius nods at Leafiara. Cordarius says, "Your lack of value in one man is what started this." Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "He wasn't one man. Still isn't even now. Right now he's a man and a ghost in one body." Speaking to Cordarius, Stormyrain corrects, "This was all set in motion when Thadston was in the Bleak. We did not shove Gabby into his body." Cordarius shrugs at Stormyrain. Stormyrain says, "Do not try to say that us removing him from command, as a result of the ghost he carries gaining too much control, is why we are here. That is an oversimplification of the issue." Cordarius says, "People with worse issues have retained positions of worth." Guarrin muses, "Perhaps our efforts would be best spent focusing upon the task at hand and not who is at cause." Cordarius nods at Guarrin. Speaking stiffly to Cordarius, Stormyrain says, "And we learned hard lessons from Walkar Wellington's retention of the office he held. Look at us, learning from mistakes we've made. Incredible to believe, I know."
Cordarius asks, "If we're successful, what ARE we going to do with the statue?" Puptilian says, "Volcano." Lylia asserts, "It belongs to me, and it belongs to the Faendryl Enclave." Guarrin asks, "It is Lylia's statue still, no?" Cordarius says, "Oh good, no one is sure, and everyone has ideas." Darcena says, "Lylia wants the possessed statue with Gabby's spirit haunting it." Darcena says, "Frightening." Cordarius says, "Oh good, no one is sure, and everyone has ideas." Cordarius smirks. Leafiara says, "Okay, so plant it outside the Alabaster Spire. That's reasonably far from town, anyway." Cordarius says, "I think we're forgetting..." Darcena says, "Drop it in the Bay." Darcena says, "Take it back to the Bleak." Cordarius asks, "Will Vlashandra stop coming for it, even if it's ghost-filled?" Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "She won't, which is why we need to end her." Cordarius whispers something to Raelee. Lylia says, "The statue belongs to me...and Vlashandra belongs to the Hall of Mages." Akenna asks, "Is there no place to secure it away from her?" Leafiara reluctantly concedes, "...or restrain her, sure, since Magister Raelee wants her alive." Stormyrain says, "Excellent. So we have consensus. The Statue goes to Lylia and the Enclave. Raelee gets Vlashandra. Productive night." Raelee whispers something to Cordarius. Cordarius says, "No, we do not have a consensus." Cordarius asks, "Outside of vanity and possessiveness that parallels Vlashandra's, what purpose does keeping the statue have?" Cordarius asks, "Did you not scold people for listening to Larsya the child, then hiss and spit "It's mine" when fighting for your statue?" Cordarius peers quizzically at Lylia. Cordarius asks, "Little ironic, right?" Cordarius shrugs. Lylia simply says, "It is mine. And I am not saying this as a child fighting over a dolly." Cordarius says, "Sounds like it." Cordarius says, "Add more stomping." Cordarius smirks. Lylia says, "The Clerisy will wish to see it." Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Or do you think that Faendryl scholars should just pass up the opportunity to get their hands on --" Lylia clears her throat. Lylia repeats, "It is mine, and that means it is ours." Cordarius says, "I think the Hall and Clerisy might have varying views on what should be studied and who should be studying it."
Cordarius says, "So let me make myself very clear." Cordarius says, "The statue, and the spirit, should be destroyed." Cordarius says, "I will help support any plan that accomplishes those two things." Cordarius says, "Anything short of both of those, will not have my support." Leafiara notes, "We did try to destroy it many times when it was initially brought here, but all attempts failed." Leafiara says, "Bashing, magic, meteors from above... we'll need to think of something new if destroying it is the plan." Lylia says, "It was given to me, and I have agreed to use it for what appears to be..." her face briefly contorts into a moue of distaste. "...the greater good." Cordarius says, "The greater good has countless definitions. Each one unique per person." Guarrin asks, "Do we have a way to destroy it? Or, bleakstone in general?" Cordarius shrugs at Guarrin. Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "Not one that we've found yet, like I said." Cordarius says, "Leafiara has a point. Trying to destroy it has not worked well in the past."
Cordarius says, "I think it's important to remember part of my function here, and part of my placement on the Town Council." Lylia says, "Your placement on the Town Council was as arbitrary as that of the Consortium's actions, and as extra-legal." Cordarius says, "No, with all due respect, my placement on the Town Council was to help broker better relations with the town and the Empire, but while at the same time holding the Empire at bay and trying to protect, the protectorate." Cordarius says, "You don't want more imperials." Cordarius says, "So don't not value me either." Cordarius says, "We have less than a week to decide our plan of action." Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Differences of opinion in the crowd aside, you do have talent when you're actually being serious." Cordarius grins at Leafiara. Cordarius says, "I won't fight you. I'm trying to be your best ally. I really am. But we've seen too many slivers remain and grow to become thorns. If you try to keep the statue, I can't promise imperial forces won't come for it, and they won't ask. Destroying it keeps that from happening, whether I ask them too or not, we know they'll come for it." Cordarius says, "I need to rest. I'm a bit agitated, and it's not like me. It's exhausting sometimes, brokering relationships, playing politics, keeping manafires alive and plagues at bay...." Cordarius grins. Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "What of the reverse of my earlier suggestion. The Hall takes it, provide recompense to Lylia." Cordarius says, "So let's come up with a good solution and you have my complete support." Cordarius looks over at Guarrin and shakes his head. Cordarius says, "I think you missed my point." Cordarius says, "I don't even want the Hall to have it." Guarrin says, "Ah, I did miss that point." Cordarius says, "The Hall's negligence has given us Dennet." Cordarius says, "Octaven." Cordarius says, "Vlashandra." Raelee rolls her eyes. Guarrin admits, "Fair enough." Cordarius says, "Rae....just kidding." Cordarius winks at Raelee. Cordarius snickers.
Cordarius says, "If it makes you feel any better...." Cordarius nods at Lylia. Cordarius asks, "The statue pales in comparison?" Cordarius smiles at Lylia. Lylia looks like she was about to say something to Cordarius, but she hesitates, obviously having changed her mind. Lylia says, "Well, of course not. The ears were never quite right."
Cryheart asks, "If the statue is broken..but keep the separate parts of it...will it lose its desire for Vlashandra to have it?" Cordarius shrugs. Cordarius says, "We'd have to know her desire in the first place." Cordarius says, "I am not sure why she wants it." Cordarius says, "Nor would I believe her if she told us." Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do you know how to destroy the statue, or do you know who would know how?" Cordarius looks over at Darcena and shakes his head.
Cordarius frowns. Cordarius says, "It seems we still have work to do, in how we might handle the statue." Cordarius says, "Unfortunately, we will need multiple ideas, because whatever we propose, we won't know if it works until that moment." Cordarius says, "I'll leave you to your strategy." Cordarius nods. Cordarius says, "We'll speak again in a few nights." Cordarius bows. Lord Cordarius just went north.

Idle Chatter
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Monker disk, the Varnock disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, the Guarrin disk, a black-eared red and grey fox, the Meril disk, a dismal mountain spirit that is flying around, the Ramiell disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, the Lowqon disk, the Veijari disk, the Vaemyr disk, a forest wolf, the Itanic disk, an outgoing lake spirit that is flying around, a large acorn, the Benidiction disk, a round silver-banded barrel, an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.
Also here: Lord Jorlax, Arena Hero Ashraam, Lord Xexel, Varnock, Meythos who is sitting, Diamondelille who is sitting, Khelvyn, Bernadette, The Notorious Leafiara, Kippe, Akenna, Sir Cryheart, Guarrin, Dumple, Meril who is kneeling, Markx, Ramiell, Great Lord Kiijo, Lowqon, Veijari who is kneeling, Bellaja, Ansey, Vaemyr, Pukk, Puptilian who is sitting, Lady Meliyara, Evii, Itanic, Benidiction who is sitting, Ifil, Ruol
Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "That is what it seems, wasn't sure if Thadston was ready to use the statue or not, I kinda assume that is next on the docket."
Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "He wants to use it by next weekend."
Leafiara says, "I'd rather speed up the pace, myself, but..."
Speaking to Evii, Meliyara says, "Sleeeeeepppppppyyyyyy."
Leafiara speculates, "He and Casiphia might need the preparation time to stage her death."
Vaemyr says, "Aye."
Speaking to Meliyara, Evii murmurs, "Soo sleeppy..."
Vaemyr says, "Well looks like I might be able to call it an early night tonight then."
Leafiara mutters, "I swear, if he ends up going to Mother *again* to stage her death *again*, I'm never going to hear him out about the Rooks... *again*."
Vaemyr says, "That could happen..."
Speaking dryly to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Yeah, I know."
Leafiara adds, "Especially if she *is* Mother."
Speaking fondly to Meliyara, Evii wishes, "Sweet dreams."
Speaking to Evii, Meliyara says, "Ah dhu."
Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr asks, "I heard you purchased a new ship, how has that been?"
Speaking cluelessly to Leafiara, Bellaja blurts, "What does this statue do?"
Speaking curiously to Bellaja, Leafiara answers, "Err... it doesn't do anything. It's just made of a rare material from the Bleaklands."
Speaking mischievously to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Been pretty good. Sinking plenty of pirates out in the bay."
[General] Cordarius thinks, "Evening."
Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Seems so strange to chase over."
Speaking to Broad, Evii says, "I'm about to cast mass hug-snug and go to bed."
[General] Leafiara exclaims, "Evening Cordarius!"
Vaemyr says, "Sounds fun, I've been thinking of purchasing a sloop sometime soon."
Cryheart says, "Cordarius is thinking."
[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good evening."
Vaemyr says, "Join others in patrolling the water."
[General] Volchere thinks, "Morning! ish... mostly."
[General] Guarrin thinks, "Good evening."
[General] Akenna thinks, "Good evening."
Speaking to Broad, Evii says, "You give warm hugs."
[General] Darcena thinks, "Good evening."
Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "Well, it does have mostly unstudied properties, so that might be why she wants it."
Pukk recites:
"Everybody join Cryheart!"
[General] Volchere thinks, "Evening good, morning bad."
Speaking to herself, Evii whines, "I can finally take all these flowers out of my hair."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Guarrin likes leading...I should start calling him out from now on."
[General] Cordarius thinks, "People always underestimate the warmth of a good fireplace on the wayside..."
[General] Cryheart thinks, "We shall be there."
Leafiara musingly says, "Sems he's hinting at the Wayside nook."
Cryheart says, "Wayside Inn."
Cryheart says, "Moving soon."
Speaking to Pukk, Guarrin says, "I just give Sir Cryheart a break the rest of the time."
Cryheart says, "Moving out in one."
Cryheart says, "Moving out in two."
Cryheart says, "Threee..moving."
[Wayside Inn, Chamber]
Tables and chairs of all shapes, sizes and states of disrepair fill this large, undecorated chamber. Seated at many of the tables are groups intent on serious card games. From the far side of the room you hear the noisy cheers of a ragtag group of spectators rooting for the underdog in a wristwrestling match between the local blacksmith and an overfed member of the Wehnimer's Citizens' Militia. You also see a tiny angular lilac-point kitten, a forest wolf, the Jiarine disk and a stone fireplace.
Also here: The Notorious Leafiara, Bellaja, Pukk, Guarrin, Akenna, Kippe, Bernadette, Lord Chamorr, Darcena, Diamondelille, Sir Cryheart, Lord Thrassus, Puptilian, Jiarine, Magister Raelee, Lord Cordarius
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr says, "Howdy."
Leafiara amiably greets, "Evenin' there."
Speaking to Cordarius, Thrassus asks, "I suppose you heard about last night, yes?"
Cordarius nods at Thrassus.
Cordarius says, "Aye, ole Vlash is a bit...possessive."
Cordarius smirks.
Jiarine asks, "Not that I really care but did I miss a chance to burn something or someone?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara muses, "I remember you saying you were thinking of some ideas to improve our 'ground game,' so if you have 'em, this might be the time."
Thrassus exclaims, "It wasn't even hers to begin with!"
Lylia murmurs, "Forgive me. I forgot I still had this on."
Lylia loosens the ebon spidersilk cording fastened at the back of her head and pulls off her porcelain mask, revealing her face.
Cordarius says, "Perspective."
Cordarius shrugs at Thrassus.
Guarrin asks, "Are we referring to the statue or her appearance?"
Cordarius begins chuckling at Guarrin!
Cordarius says, "I won't be long. The night's getting late, we've got a lot of work to do."
Notifications
Cordarius says, "I've sent word to Jovery."
Leafiara asks, "...again?"
Cordarius says, "Updating on the developments recently."
Cordarius says, "Not, a bit of time ago."
Cordarius says, "It might not sound like the best alternative..."
Cordarius says, "But we might need some imperial aid."
Cordarius ducks his head.
Cordarius says, "Don't throw things."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Get a rope."
Cryheart says, "We are in need."
Thrassus says, "It would make sense, yes."
Leafiara asks, "So... your plan is, what, just more soldiers?"
Alosaka says, "It's... better than fewer soldiers."
Darcena mutters, "I don't usually throw things."
Cordarius says, "No offense, but your previous plans were...."
Cordarius peers quizzically at Leafiara.
Cordarius shrugs.
Darcena asks, "Improvised chaos?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Don't leave us in suspense...her previous plans were what?"
Cordarius says, "It isn't even more soldiers, I believe the Outpost has enough to help maintain some order."
Speaking to Darcena, Evia asks, "Is that not the new comedy club in town?"
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr asks, "Have you run across the Amos afore?"
Cordarius says, "Larsya hasn't yet made it so, and, well, that's okay for now. She's where she needs to be."
Leafiara says, "Which is a bit odd."
Darcena asks, "Remind me - where is she?"
Cordarius says, "She's an ally on the Consortium."
Darcena says, "I did remember that part."
Puptilian says, "Unless she is being manipulated. She is young and easy to influence."
Lylia asks, "...are we even pretending otherwise?"
Darcena says, "She and... the furrier? ...voted against suspending the elections."
Lylia says, "She is a literal child."
Cordarius says, "I think you underestimate the dread pirate."
Lylia says, "Of course she is being manipulated."
Darcena says, "And half the time she thinks she is --"
Darcena says, "Yes, that."
Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin asks, "What manner of aid did you have in mind?"
Cordarius says, "As it stands now, I'm hoping to leverage some Bourthian troops so we're not solely relying on these hired armigers of Dunigan's."
Cordarius says, "Hendorans would help too. Many of them still favor Thadston over anyone."
Lylia asks, "How much do you know about Vlashandra, or about her capabilities?"
Cordarius says, "Which, is an important piece still missing."
Cordarius says, "We need to get him back to him."
Alosaka whispers to the group, "Bourth! Crest of three black yews on a white background ringed with five hawk feathers!"
Puptilian says, "I welcome Hendorans before I would Bourthian at the moment."
Cordarius says, "And with Vlashandra's latest attack, we don't have much time."
Cordarius nods at Puptilian.
Cordarius says, "Hendorans would easily aid. I'm just waiting for the good word."
Leafiara says, "She did, more or less, vow to attack again when we need to bring the statue out."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius peers quizzically at Lylia.
Chamorr heartily asks, "Wait, the plan is to have imperial troops patrolling the streets, when they is allied with the consortium?"
Goldstr exclaims, "We needs get dat statue to Sir Andrewws soon!"
Alosaka asks, "Why do we need to bring the statue out?"
Cordarius asks, "What do you mean, her capabilities?"
Leafiara says, "But that 'again' is by next weekend."
Cordarius says, "I don't know much. I mean, she's evolved, clearly."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "I mean, she is clearly not an ordinary Hall mage. And she was able to bring back a lich who was lost when his phylactery was destroyed."
Alosaka says, "Almost as if she has the aid of some dark power."
Raelee quietly remarks, "... this town is yet to see an 'ordinary' mage of the Hall."
Speaking dryly to Raelee, Leafiara says, "You don't say."
Lylia says, "The bone walls, the wretched little stoats that chew and consume limbs --"
Lylia nods at Raelee.
Cordarius shrugs.
Darcena asks, "So as of right now, your expectation is that we will be asked to work with the Consortium?"
Puptilian says, "I will mention that this lich was created by Althedeus so we are not sure yet if its a lich like any we know of today. Also he wasn't destroyed but dragged to the shadow realm."
Cordarius says, "I wish I knew more of her past, and where she learns what she learns."
Cordarius nods at Puptilian.
Lylia says, "Indeed, Magister, and forgive me for my blithe assumptions. However, it is clear this woman is working in something far more akin to necromancy and sorcery beyond the scope of most of us."
Darcena mutters, "And her wall was wiggly and resisted Bone Shatter. Quite unnatural."
Speaking to Puptilian, Bellaja says, "Yes, the real threat lies in the power that fuels him."
Speaking to Puptilian, Lylia says, "Then I shall inform one of the Lich's disciples who witnessed the phylactery's destruction that she was wrong."
Puptilian says, "Oh the phylactery was destroyed."
Puptilian says, "I witnessed it too."
Puptilian says, "I also witness he survived it and was pulled into the shadow realm."
Cordarius says, "It's speculation right now, on what powers Vlashandra, and what powers Slim."
Leafiara says, "The phylactery might have been rebuilt, depending on what exactly Goblyn did in Lich's Landing."
Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do you think that the word we will get back is that we are expected to work with the Consortium as if they are law?"
Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.
Lylia says, "Just so. And with a destroyed phylactery, a lich does not just...come back as though leaving a party and returning to reclaim a lost handbag."
Puptilian says, "Hence my point he isn't a lich we know about."
Lylia reluctantly says, "Fair enough."
Xorus indifferently says, "Goblyn used the shattered phylactery pieces to reconstruct the black obelisk in his Chamber of Decay."
Cordarius says, "I have made it very clear in my missive that the imperial troops are not to be commanded by the Consortium."
Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.
Darcena furrows her brow.
Darcena nods slowly at Cordarius.
Cordarius nods at Darcena.
Darcena says, "Amos is threatening us, the militia."
Darcena says, "It's a .... precarious situation."
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr asks, "By who then?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr exclaims, "Verra good to hear!"
Cordarius says, "I am also working on drafting some election changes and proposals and perhaps some various other legal tweaks, which I intend to request Larsya to present to the Consortium."
Darcena says, "I'm curious what the imperial whatsits will think."
Speaking to Guarrin, Darcena mouths, "Sorry."
Chamorr heartily asks, "What?"
Leafiara says, "Hmm. So a matter of whether Earl Jovery will want to override Larsya, as it were."
Lylia reminds, "She is a child. Are we to be governed by children, then?"
Speaking to Darcena, Guarrin reminds, "The Northern Sentinel, Earl Jovery."
Darcena says, "Yes."
Darcena says, "Him."
Cordarius says, "Vlashandra won't find the statue here, in town."
Speaking to Guarrin, Darcena whispers aloud, "HIm?"
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr asks, "Yer drawing up changes to Landing election law?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Goldstr says, "Larysa shoulds be reportin to da Earl."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "How would you know that?"
Cordarius says, "But if you intend to do what you hope to do, we'll need to bring the statue back, or, close."
Thrassus asks, "We could bring it to the Reach, perhaps?"
Cordarius says, "We'll need to protect it. Its arrival, and during any ritual."
Evia says, "We need a shrink statue spell."
Cordarius says, "I won't share more. Not yet."
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr says, "Bring in yer troops, put them under command of our militia."
Alosaka asks, "So, Vlashandra needs the statue in order to culminate whatever plan she has for this town, plans which certainly involve the slaughter of thousands more citizens... and we intend to bring the statue back here?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Bellaja asks, "Ritual?"
Puptilian says, "My guess is she will do a simple attack for us to repel in transit. Her real attack will happen mid ritual when we can't move the statue at all."
Darcena asks, "What's the 'bad stuff' for just letting that woman take over Thadston and then killing him?"
Cordarius asks, "What else would you call some act trying to shove a spirit into a statue from Thadston?"
Cordarius peers quizzically at Bellaja.
Speaking to Alosaka, Darcena says, "I think that's your answer."
Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Typical night in Landing?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "You said it was a statue of nothing from the bleaklands."
Leafiara says, "The 'bad stuff' would be that then we don't have the Hendoran support Cordarius was mentioning earlier."
Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "Yes, rare material from the Bleaklands."
Cordarius says, "We also don't have Thadston."
Leafiara says, "Bleakstone, recently discovered."
Cordarius shrugs at Leafiara.
Speaking to Cordarius, Bellaja says, "I suppose I.. misunderstood."
Guarrin asks, "Hendoran support is dependent upon Thadston?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Darcena says, "It was more of a rhetorical question to answer Alosaka, but I appreciate the answer nonetheless."
Alosaka says, "I feel like a team of strong people with sledghammers could reduce the statue to a sufficiently large number of small pieces."
Cordarius asks, "I mean, we are trying to save the man, because of the man right?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Yes, I understand that, but he's still only one person. Great fighter or no."
Cordarius says, "Not just his Hendoran support."
Cordarius smirks.
Speaking to Guarrin, Raelee says, "The Hendoran soldiers still here rather like him for... some reason I do not quite understand."
Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "That's quite the powerful stuff."
Speaking to Alosaka, Darcena asks, "And then what would we do about Thadston and Gabby?"
Speaking to Guarrin, Raelee says, "His banners even hang in the Outpost still."
Akenna asks, "I mean that wouldn't make much sense, wouldn't Hendoran support lean largely on the Earl?"
Speaking stiffly to Cordarius, Darcena says, "I'm not."
Speaking to Darcena, Alosaka says, "Light a candle. Two candles, I suppose."
Cordarius says, "One person that you exiled from office and set all of this into motion."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius says, "Your lack of value in one man is what started this."
Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr says, "An fer wha he has given fer us."
Speaking to Raelee, Guarrin says, "Yes, but I imagine orders are orders. I've seen them in the field often enough. I imagine having him back to normal would lift morale though."
Darcena asks, "Who got exiled from office?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "He wasn't one man. Still isn't even now. Right now he's a man and a ghost in one body."
Lylia says, "I have my reasons for saving him. They are sufficient to earn my support for what needs doing."
Speaking to Leafiara, Gidion asks, "Even more exciting..?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Stormyrain corrects, "This was all set in motion when Thadston was in the Bleak. We did not shove Gabby into his body."
Cordarius shrugs at Stormyrain.
Darcena says, "Yes, I don't like that characterization."
Puptilian says, "At the end of the day Thadston made his own choices and this is the destination of those choices. All we will do is try to help the man in his time of need as he tried to help this town. It's the least we can do."
Darcena says, "Thadston was off even before he got stuck in the Bleak."
Stormyrain says, "Do not try to say that us removing him from command, as a result of the ghost he carries gaining too much control, is why we are here. That is an oversimplification of the issue."
Darcena says, "He was consumed by emotion and making poor choices."
Lylia says, "He made a 'choice' to live. It is the only sane choice."
Darcena mutters, "Balance."
Speaking to Darcena, Leafiara says, "Off? He was obsessed with ending Raznel, sure, but I wouldn't quite say 'off' because of that."
Pukk says, "I blame Leafiara."
Cordarius says, "People with worse issues have retained positions of worth."
Speaking to Darcena, Goldstr exclaims, "Verra strong minded Lass but nae Off!"
Thrassus asks, "We could have tried helping him first before removing him, perhaps?"
Alosaka says, "Thadston's behavior, regardless of possession, does not suggest he is suited for any position of authority."
Leafiara says, "We did try to help him. He wouldn't let us anywhere near or even explain what the bleakwalker was."
Chamorr heartily says, "He was more fun to hang wif when he was drinkin."
Guarrin muses, "Perhaps our efforts would be best spent focusing upon the task at hand and not who is at cause."
Speaking to Alosaka, Goldstr says, "I disagree wid ye also."
Darcena says, "This rehashing isn't solving the current problems, either."
Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia asks, "Can you count on two hands the number of people suited for positions of authority? Or would you need only one?"
Cordarius nods at Guarrin.
Speaking stiffly to Cordarius, Stormyrain says, "And we learned hard lessons from Walkar Wellington's retention of the office he held. Look at us, learning from mistakes we've made. Incredible to believe, I know."
Darcena says, "The point is that we can't just smash the statue."
Darcena says, "Unless we have an alternate plan for Gabby."
Speaking to Darcena, Alosaka asks, "Have we in fact established that?"
Alosaka says, "Hammers are cheap."
Darcena repeats, "We shouldn't just smash the statue."
What To Do, What To Do
Cordarius asks, "If we're successful, what ARE we going to do with the statue?"
Alosaka asks, "Again, why not?"
Leafiara offers, "We could always smash it after she's in it."
Darcena exclaims, "We just talked about that!"
Puptilian says, "Volcano."
Lylia asserts, "It belongs to me, and it belongs to the Faendryl Enclave."
Guarrin asks, "It is Lylia's statue still, no?"
Speaking to Guarrin, Lylia says, "Thank you."
Darcena says, "Lylia wants the possessed statue with Gabby's spirit haunting it."
Darcena says, "Frightening."
Cordarius says, "Oh good, no one is sure, and everyone has ideas."
Cordarius smirks.
Speaking to Alosaka, Akenna says, "Though I have faith that perhaps Thadston is perhaps a good man, who will do the right thing and if it helps champion others to the cause... perhaps there is a need to be forgiving."
Speaking to Guarrin, Pukk says, "It's Gutstorm's statue."
Lylia says, "It is less a matter of 'wanting' and more a matter of fact."
Leafiara says, "Okay, so plant it outside the Alabaster Spire. That's reasonably far from town, anyway."
Cordarius says, "I think we're forgetting..."
Darcena says, "Drop it in the Bay."
Darcena says, "Take it back to the Bleak."
Cordarius asks, "Will Vlashandra stop coming for it, even if it's ghost-filled?"
Lylia agrees, "It is, and it would be among those who know best how to manage challenging situations."
Thrassus says, "Putting it on display at the Enclave will satisfy the bleakwalker's desire to be admired."
Alosaka says, "I have no ill will toward Thadston, but if this statue is the key to Vlashandra's plans then it seems suicidal of us to not destroy it as expeditiously as possible."
Lylia says, "If she is restrained from coming for it, then yes."
Darcena says, "No. I already mentioned that I thought the statue was a bad idea."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "She won't, which is why we need to end her."
Cordarius whispers something to Raelee.
Lylia says, "The statue belongs to me...and Vlashandra belongs to the Hall of Mages."
Akenna asks, "Is there no place to secure it away from her?"
Leafiara reluctantly concedes, "...or restrain her, sure, since Magister Raelee wants her alive."
Speaking to Alosaka, Guarrin says, "We do not know what she intends to do with it, as far as I'm aware."
Akenna asks, "Perhaps do this ritual on a wagon headed away from here?"
Speaking to Lylia, Alosaka says, "Vlashandra has committed countless crimes against the Landing and its people. She belongs to them now, for the course of justice."
Darcena mutters, "I just want Thrayzar back."
Stormyrain says, "Excellent. So we have consensus. The Statue goes to Lylia and the Enclave. Raelee gets Vlashandra. Productive night."
Speaking to Alosaka, Guarrin says, "But if we know where it is, and we know she will chase it, well...seems a matter of closing the trap."
Raelee whispers something to Cordarius.
Thrassus asks, "Couldn't the Hall send one of those mage-hunters of theirs after her?"
Cordarius says, "No, we do not have a consensus."
Stormyrain asks, "Shall we vote?"
Speaking to Darcena, Guarrin says, "He's at the holding."
Speaking to Guarrin, Darcena says, "I'm aware."
Speaking to Thrassus, Bellaja says, "If you want to leave it to chance."
Darcena says, "But he's not back. He's all broken."
Evia says, "We're supposed to arrive at consensus? Oy."
Puptilian asks, "Didn't we elect someone to lead this town in times like this?"
Puptilian glances at Leafiara.
Cordarius asks, "Outside of vanity and possessiveness that parallels Vlashandra's, what purpose does keeping the statue have?"
Lylia coldly says, "Ultimately, what is left of her is mine, but I have agreed to honor the request to keep her alive and not stuff her flayed body with Luukosian deathwort. If the Landing wishes to have some sort of trial in between the one thing and the other, that is well and good."
Darcena asks, "What's your alternate proposal? Letting the Hall have it?"
Lylia says, "I shall live longer than her at any rate."
Goldstr exclaims, "Gittin Gabby out of Thadston!"
Speaking to Puptilian, Leafiara says, "I already said. Leaving it at the Alabaster Spire seems perfectly suitable, and it does belong to Lylia."
Cordarius asks, "Did you not scold people for listening to Larsya the child, then hiss and spit "It's mine" when fighting for your statue?"
Cordarius peers quizzically at Lylia.
Cordarius asks, "Little ironic, right?"
Cordarius shrugs.
Lylia simply says, "It is mine. And I am not saying this as a child fighting over a dolly."
Speaking to Lylia, Pukk asks, "You hissed?"
Cordarius says, "Sounds like it."
Cordarius says, "Add more stomping."
Akenna seriously says, "So long as she is dead by the end of it, that's all I want."
Cordarius smirks.
Lylia says, "The Clerisy will wish to see it."
Speaking to Lylia, Pukk exclaims, "And I missed it?!"
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Or do you think that Faendryl scholars should just pass up the opportunity to get their hands on --"
Lylia clears her throat.
Alosaka asks, "What is it they say about possession? Nine tenths of the law?"
Lylia repeats, "It is mine, and that means it is ours."
Chamorr heartily says, "Ya know these things always end up worse."
Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia repeats something you don't understand.
Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "Careful what ya wish for."
Xorus says, "I think it is unwise to be destroying what is left of Raznel's works, when the blight is only loosely bandaged and the Bleaklands remains a tumor."
Lylia says, "A fair point."
Speaking wearily to Lylia, Darcena says, "We all know that you have ulterior motives for the power that is part of an entirely bleakstone statue that has already been prepared to carry immense amounts of a witch's magic, touched and manipulated by her coven, and now will have a bleakspirit in it."
Darcena adds, "It's not a secret."
Darcena says, "I'm not judging you for it."
Evia says, "Haul it to the top of the spire and Lylia and Vlashes can duel it out."
Cordarius says, "I think the Hall and Clerisy might have varying views on what should be studied and who should be studying it."
Lylia replies, "It is hardly 'ulterior' if it is so readily visible."
Leafiara pragmatically says, "As was mentioned, Vlashandra will keep coming after the statue whether Gabriela's in it or not. So, at very least, storing it outside town will keep her away from the civilians here."
Darcena says, "Precisely."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "I have no doubt of that."
Leafiara says, "Or, yes, what Evia said. In much shorter terms."
Xorus says, "Naturally."
Evia asks, "Would we not all buy a ticket to that?"
Clarity Without Consensus
Cordarius says, "So let me make myself very clear."
Lylia says, "There are other alternatives, but I doubt anyone wishes to hear them."
Darcena says, "I'm going to stay in the pub and drink stout, myself."
Cordarius says, "The statue, and the spirit, should be destroyed."
Akenna says, "Good."
Cordarius says, "I will help support any plan that accomplishes those two things."
[General] Pukk exclaims, "Selling tickets for the fight of the year. Vlashandra versus Lylia!"
Cordarius says, "Anything short of both of those, will not have my support."
Leafiara notes, "We did try to destroy it many times when it was initially brought here, but all attempts failed."
Evia says, "Hmmm."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Then we should have recompense of some form for it."
[General] Pukk thinks, "Winner takes home Xorus."
Goldstr says, "So Folks Gabby in da statue den destroy it."
Leafiara says, "Bashing, magic, meteors from above... we'll need to think of something new if destroying it is the plan."
Alosaka asks, "Lylia, did you mine the stone for that statue? Carve it? Commission a craftsman to create it?"
Leafiara says, "Pylon fire, maybe."
Lylia says, "It was given to me, and I have agreed to use it for what appears to be..." her face briefly contorts into a moue of distaste. "...the greater good."
Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia asks, "Have you never been given a gift?"
Alosaka says, "Perhaps... it should not have been given to you."
Cordarius says, "The greater good has countless definitions. Each one unique per person."
Lylia murmurs, "How sad for you."
Guarrin asks, "Do we have a way to destroy it? Or, bleakstone in general?"
Alosaka says, "If this is how you intend to use it."
Cordarius shrugs at Guarrin.
Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "Not one that we've found yet, like I said."
Cordarius says, "Leafiara has a point. Trying to destroy it has not worked well in the past."
Guarrin nods once.
Leafiara nods at Cordarius.
Evia says, "Shrugging is a terrible answer."
Alosaka says, "That just means we haven't succeeded so far in destroying it."
Darcena says, "We should destroy it because its power capabilities are unknown and frightening and I don't trust any group to handle that well."
Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "A compromise perhaps then. Lylia holds the statue at the Enclave, but grants access to the Hall to research more appropriate means to destroy it."
Darcena says, "But we don't know how to destroy it and if we hand it off to any of those people, they will likely not destroy it."
Cordarius says, "I think it's important to remember part of my function here, and part of my placement on the Town Council."
Leafiara says, "Puptilian's idea of throwing it into a volcano might work, but we'd need to experiment with smaller bleakstone samples to see if it can be melted."
Darcena says, "We can't just keep it hidden because we need to do something for Thadston."
Akenna asks, "Could you break down the base elements of the bleakstone, rendering it weakened, then perhaps have a chance at destroying it?"
Chamorr heartily says, "Isnt there a bleakstone bane."
Chamorr heartily says, "Like fer weapoms."
Lylia says, "Your placement on the Town Council was as arbitrary as that of the Consortium's actions, and as extra-legal."
Darcena mutters, "I have nightmares of Gabby getting some remnant of Raznel's power and using the bleakstone as an amplifier."
Mongonator asks, "I thought Amos disolved the town council, is this a secret hush hush kinda meetin?"
Xorus says, "It was not that long ago that a vathor flew out of lava of that volcano."
Speaking acidly to Mongonator, Lylia remarks, "We are all the Town Council now. We all get to be mayor too, and pirate kings and queens! Huzzah."
Cordarius says, "No, with all due respect, my placement on the Town Council was to help broker better relations with the town and the Empire, but while at the same time holding the Empire at bay and trying to protect, the protectorate."
Speaking to Mongonator, Goldstr says, "Dat Amos has no power WE recognize."
Mongonator says, "Sounds...fun."
Speaking to Mongonator, Leafiara says, "No, he left the town council intact. I expect he wants to make a move to become the marshal, the first position he sought."
Cryheart asks, "Do we know how to draw out the spirit out of Lord Thadston?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena says, "I like the second part."
Stormyrain says, "She is willing."
Stormyrain nods at Cryheart.
Cordarius says, "You don't want more imperials."
Cryheart asks, "And she wants to go into the statue?"
Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain says, "And is waiting to leave Thadston so that she can take corporeal form, and marry him."
Cordarius says, "So don't not value me either."
Stormyrain says, "She has agreed yes."
Lylia says, "She does."
Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena mutters, "I'm listening to you. I just have no power and no answers."
Lylia says, "It is what she wants most. Rather unlike similar rituals that involve ripping souls from the bodies that house them."
Cryheart asks, "Is it just the statue that Vlashandra wants...or does she know about the spirit?"
Cordarius says, "We have less than a week to decide our plan of action."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Differences of opinion in the crowd aside, you do have talent when you're actually being serious."
Cordarius grins at Leafiara.
Leafiara winks at Cordarius.
Cryheart asks, "Is it just the statue that Vlashandra wants...or does she know about the spirit?"
Speaking to Cryheart, Leafiara says, "Last night she said she knew what we were doing, but it could have been a bluff on her part."
Leafiara pragmatically says, "So I'd say prepare for the worst, just in case."
Stormyrain says, "If she does know, she is actively trying to keep us from completing that ritual by getting the statue now."
Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "I tinks it be da Bleakstone of it."
Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "She wants it now, and it has no spirit. I do not think we know for certain what she is after."
Cryheart asks, "Or she wants the spirit as well?"
Stormyrain asks, "So I would say she does not wish the spirit, if she did--and she's aware--then why wouldn't she wait until we've completed it to come?"
Leafiara says, "If she wanted the spirit, she wouldn't have attacked to get to the statue last night."
Puptilian asks, "I wonder what her plans with the statue are. Are they selfish reasons or for the glory of her favorite Lich?"
Stormyrain says, "But it's hard to know what she does and does not know, as well."
Alosaka says, "Or fight to keep us from taking it from her in the first place."
Lylia flatly says, "If she wanted Gabriela, who has a name, she would have taken Thadston, who at times has been in little condition to fend her off."
Cordarius says, "I won't fight you. I'm trying to be your best ally. I really am. But we've seen too many slivers remain and grow to become thorns. If you try to keep the statue, I can't promise imperial forces won't come for it, and they won't ask. Destroying it keeps that from happening, whether I ask them to or not, we know they'll come for it."
Thrassus asks, "Why would they want it?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara acknowledges, "A very fair point. It's not just Vlashandra wanting it, as you say."
Akenna asks, "Why wouldn't they?"
Alosaka asks, "Why does anyone seem to want it?"
Lylia pointedly says, "Yes. It is not just Vlashandra who wants it."
Cryheart asks, "Is the spirit aware we may attempt to destroy the statue?"
Chamorr heartily says, "Maybe we could sell it."
Evia says, "But...we don't even know how to destroy it. And Lylia mentioned recompense to her..."
Thrassus says, "They can march right into the Bleaklands and get all the stone they want."
Leafiara says, "It's the largest single bleakstone sample we've seen. Of course they'd want it for study."
Cordarius says, "I need to rest. I'm a bit agitated, and it's not like me. It's exhausting sometimes, brokering relationships, playing politics, keeping manafires alive and plagues at bay...."
Raelee says, "... they would want it because they recognize it as a threat."
Cordarius grins.
- Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "What of the reverse of my earlier suggestion. The Hall takes it, provide recompense to Lylia.";;;
Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr says, "You need a apple."
Cordarius says, "So let's come up with a good solution and you have my complete support."
Lylia asks, "Yes, what could anyone want with a priceless artifact that also happens to contain a spirit who might be able to inform us about the Bleaklands and how they came to be?"
Cordarius looks over at Guarrin and shakes his head.
Cordarius says, "I think you missed my point."
Cordarius says, "I don't even want the Hall to have it."
Guarrin says, "Ah, I did miss that point."
Cordarius says, "The Hall's negligence has given us Dennet."
Cordarius says, "Octaven."
Cordarius says, "Vlashandra."
Raelee rolls her eyes.
Guarrin admits, "Fair enough."
Puptilian says, "Raznel."
Cordarius says, "Rae....just kidding."
Cordarius winks at Raelee.
Cordarius snickers.
Guarrin says, "Well..."
Speaking to Cordarius, Mongonator says, "We were all thinking it too jokingly."
Lylia says, "Then perhaps it should be sent far south."
Evia says, "I would imagine Magister Raelee might object that the Hall 'gave us' herself."
Lylia says, "Let the Clerisy deal with it."
Cryheart says, "Perhaps we can come to a mutual agreement without throwing daggers at each other."
Lylia says, "Take it far, far away. Whisk it off."
Akenna says, "No, it should be destroyed."
Speaking to Evia, Raelee asks, "... I am here, am I not?"
Darcena says, "I agree. It should be destroyed."
Darcena says, "But we don't know how to destroy it."
Leafiara muses, "On the bright side, inventing new ways to destroy things is a Landing specialty."
Akenna says, "Things hidden are always eventually found."
Cordarius says, "If it makes you feel any better...."
Cordarius nods at Lylia.
Cordarius asks, "The statue pales in comparison?"
Cordarius smiles at Lylia.
Lylia looks like she was about to say something to Cordarius, but she hesitates, obviously having changed her mind.
Lylia says, "Well, of course not. The ears were never quite right."
Evia says, "That is because the statue is a priceless artifact, and Lylia is only a pre-artifact."
Cryheart asks, "If the statue is broken..but keep the separate parts of it...will it lose its desire for Vlashandra to have it?"
Cordarius shrugs.
Cordarius says, "We'd have to know her desire in the first place."
Darcena says, "Cordarius."
Alosaka says, "She... kept it intact."
Cordarius says, "I am not sure why she wants it."
Cryheart nods at Cordarius.
Speaking to Evia, Pukk says, "I don't know. Lylia is pretty old. She might be considered a artifact too."
Cryheart says, "That is the key."
Cordarius says, "Nor would I believe her if she told us."
Akenna says, "I don't think that any chances should be taken."
Leafiara says, "Come to think of it... depending how a spirit can inhabit a statue, we might need to not simply 'break' it, but truly destroy it. The volcano idea might really be the best idea if bleakstone does melt."
Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "I tinks it be da Bleakstone of it."
Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do you know how to destroy the statue, or do you know who would know how?"
Cordarius looks over at Darcena and shakes his head.
Xorus says, "There are many things in this region that should be destroyed. By this sort of reasoning."
Evia says, "I for one, am quite confused."
Speaking to Cordarius, Darcena says, "That is not helpful."
Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara greets, "Ah, Hap. Since meteors didn't work, we're inventing new ways to destroy a bleakstone statue now."
Speaking to Xorus, Alosaka says, "Have to start somewhere."
Darcena says, "My specialty is not in destroying bleakstone stuffed full of an angry spirit."
Speaking to Hapenlok, Pukk says, "You should try meteor again, just in case."
Lylia says, "She would not be particularly angry. Why would she be? She would have achieved her desire."
Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Well. I'm perfectly content to let that statue be some other plane of existence's problem."
Speaking curiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "...interesting idea."
Lylia says, "Yes, Clerisy scholars can manage just that."
Darcena says, "I know that some of you have bleakstone."
Hapenlok says, "Lich's Landing, can go with it."
Speaking to Xorus, Thrassus asks, "Perhaps we can destroy the Reach next?"
Goldstr exclaims, "Less jess get Gabby IN da statue first folks!"
Speaking to Hapenlok, Gidion says, "Send it to the chronomages."
Evia says, "Just trick Vlashi into the statue and yank Gabriela out, and let Lylia keep it."
Hapenlok says, "But that's between me and Goblyn that discussion."
Darcena says, "Despite being there, I was not able to grab any."
Speaking to Thrassus, Lylia says, "There are some Ithzir artifacts beneath the sands; those are mysterious and troubling, and we should break and burn them."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara inquires, "What do you think of Hap's idea? Leaving it intact but sending it to another plane, in case we can't find a way to destroy it?"
Darcena asks, "Does anyone want to admit they've been testing it and researching it and have found anything out?"
Lylia adds, "And those bone pillars? Oh, creepy."
Leafiara adds, "As a backup even if nothing else."
Speaking to Lylia, Thrassus exclaims, "Oh, Darkstone too!"
Hapenlok says, "The statue was easy to pull around with a giant stone fist, but I was gripping as hard as I could and didn't make a single dent in it....during the 'heist'."
Speaking to Lylia, Goldstr says, "Under da Black Sands water aye."
Lylia says, "There was a Harrower who managed a similar trick with the roots that once troubled us."
Speaking to Leafiara, Evia says, "That does not solve that it IS Lylia's statue."
Speaking to Goldstr, Lylia says, "I have never forgotten."
Speaking to Evia, Leafiara says, "Sure, but she's the one who said it can be sent to the Clerisy."
Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "Yes, and those roots are presently in the Deadfall, which Grishom may or may not still be occupying."
Cordarius frowns.
Speaking to Evia, Lylia says, "I would be willing to see it moved. Offered to the Clerisy. Or destroyed -- if there is a reasonable compensation for it."
Cordarius says, "It seems we still have work to do, in how we might handle the statue."
Evia says, "I know nothing of Clerisy's."
Xorus says, "Were Harrower Ersix to move the statue to the Shadow Realm, perhaps some day it might be of some use in recovering Aralyte."
Stormyrain bluntly says, "We will need several days advanced notice of when and where the statue should be delivered."
Evia says, "Well, that's one inch closer."
Lylia says, "Now, what we might have to do to decide on what is 'reasonable' for a vast quantity of a nearly priceless material, especially one of historical significance, and then add in that it would have the spirit of a Bleakwalker within it..."
Evia blinks at Xorus.
Evia says, "Golly."
Cordarius says, "Unfortunately, we will need multiple ideas, because whatever we propose, we won't know if it works until that moment."
Speaking to Xorus, Lylia asks, "That would be a fine bit of poetry, would it not?"
Leafiara says, "That's not even an 'unfortunately.' It's good to have multiple plans."
Darcena whispers something to Stormyrain.
Cordarius says, "I'll leave you to your strategy."
Hapenlok says, "We're not the greatest at planning, though."
Cordarius nods.
Kippe whispers something to Lylia.
Cordarius says, "We'll speak again in a few nights."
Evia says, "Or my gosh."
Leafiara says, "Wish Thadston had had multiple plans to get rid of the bleakwalker. He was really insistent on this statue one."
Lylia says, "It was Gabriella who was insistent, I believe."
Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Well, I've got experience in multiple personalities, so there's that option if the statue play fails."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Puptilian asks, "We need to work with them on making sure we have a safe way to the ritual. Maybe multiple caravans to thin out the attackers?"
Evia asks, "So someone wrote down all of these worthy plans so far?"
Cordarius bows.
Lord Cordarius just went north.
