Summary

 • Malluch meets with the Order of the Silver Gryphon, Mayor Leafiara, and others regarding the escort of his people and a potential pardon. Leafi asks if he still wants the pardon, in light of her letter to him explaining that even if said pardon diminished the odds of Thadston attacking, it would increase the odds of the Rooks or Rone attacking. He expresses that he still wants it, reasoning that the Rooks' actions wouldn't be determined by what the mayor did or did not do.
 • Before a conclusion can be reached, Malluch moves on to the primary topic of the escort. Sir Cryheart, among other present Gryphons such as Dame Evia, Sir Goldstr, and Guarrin, explain that they'll agree to the escort on the condition that Malluch remain either behind or in front of the group at some distance, under the reasoning of strategically preventing an attack upon his followers by being further away from a fugitive and thus safer from any seeking to pursue him in the name of justice. Malluch challenges the logic, saying that the Rooks attacked the caravan even though he was away. Over the course of the night, many in the crowd grow to question Malluch's integrity in light of back-and-forth bickering over whether the Gryphons were being silly and attaching too many strings to be heroes or whether Malluch was dancing around the issue with an overly narrow view of how the escort should go. Nonetheless, ultimately Malluch concludes that he'd speak with his followers and try to convince them.
 • As for the pardon issue, Leafi asks for clarity on whether Malluch wants it for himself or to protect those in his camp, since he didn't want to return to living in the Landing. Malluch said the pardon would lift a burden from his father and he didn't claim he'd never return. She offers that a pardon can be reassessed in two weeks after he's gone while, for now, given a volatile situation and the primary concern being those in his camp, she can deter Thadston by declining his bounty. Malluch challenges this as implied hypocrisy given Thrayzar (the second Rone)'s presumed innocence over similar treatments done to him by the Alchemist and that past mayors had pardoned Stephos and Drangell, and says that the mayor only approves of vigilantism in beaked masks. She asserts that despite what he thinks, she's not his enemy and will find a way to do right by him; he claims she's failed and calls her a naive mayor trying to dance to too many strings.

Convening With Malluch

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Forreva disk, the Abrasiva disk, a sinuous bone white serpent, the Aspyre disk, a lesser pygmy owl, the Torpe disk, the Yavs disk, a blue-veined thrak liver, a sea green scarf, the Nallo disk, some golden brown elven waybread, some manna bread, a sugar-dusted golden doughnut, some golden brown elven waybread, some manna bread, some golden brown elven waybread, some acantha leaf, some wolifrew lichen, a black-eared red and grey fox, some golden brown elven waybread, a sugar-dusted golden doughnut, a small cake of golden elven waybread, some golden brown elven waybread, the Chandrellia disk, the Guarrin disk, the Akenna disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, some flowing soot black robes, a handful of heavy stones, a sugar-dusted golden doughnut, a large Gnollish mushroom, a heap of heavy stones, a heap of heavy stones, a wooden wooden bolt, a large acorn, some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.

The sky begins to fill with huge clouds, dark and grey on the bottom, pale and white atop, their puffy crowns ascending toward the heavens.

[General] Leafiara thinks, "He might only want a final decision tonight."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Excellent."

A strong breeze continues to swirl through the area.

A blue-veined thrak liver is suddenly picked up by the wind and blown west!

Some acantha leaf is suddenly picked up by the wind and blown west!

A sugar-dusted golden doughnut is suddenly picked up by the wind and blown northeast!

Some golden brown elven waybread is suddenly picked up by the wind and blown southwest!

[General] Pietra thinks, "Ahh, decisions are fun. Conversations are boring."

Felita says, "Alla breads flew away."

[General] Leafiara notes, "Another rainy Landing night, it seems!"

Pukk recites:

"Officially, Everybody join Cryheart!"

Cryheart says, "Rain clouds."

[Towncrier] Leafiara: "Landing weather! Come join us for KST as we gather on Sir Cryheart in the square."

[General] Alvyara thinks, "It's good for the flowers, at least."

Loscar asks, "Again?"

Loscar says, "We just did this."

[General] Malluch thinks, "Evening."

[General] Xanthium thinks, "Good evening, Master Burdos."

[General] Leafiara greets, "Evening again."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Raelee asks, "And what do you require from me specifically regarding tonight's... process?"

Chandrellia sings:

"I'm just a just a little black rain cloud

Hovering under the, honey tree

I'm just a little black rain cloud

Pay no attention to me"

Speaking to Raelee, Stormyrain says, "Your observation."

Cryheart says, "Malluch is awake."

[General] Bylue asks, "Is there a cost to get from Ta'Vaalor to the Landing?"

Stormyrain says, "I just felt it prudent that your perspective be present."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Evening."

Loscar exclaims, "Oh a puppy!"

[General] Scarswyrth thinks, "Yep 2020 silvers."

[General] Istfaril thinks, "Something like 2010 silver."

[General] Faerinn thinks, "Evening My Blood Boi."

[General] Malluch asks, "I am in the forest. Shall we discuss some things this night?"

Loscar exclaims, "PUPPY!"

Speaking skeptically to Stormyrain, Raelee asks, "That is all?"

Stormyrain says, "Perfectly predicting present problems. Or future ones for that matter."

[General] Evia thinks, "Let's discuss some things this night."

[General] Bylue thinks, "Oof...this might take a while."

[General] Berost thinks, "Eh.."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We shall be at your camp soon."

[General] Leafiara muses, "Sounds good."

Cryheart says, "Heading to the camp."

Cryheart recites:

"Be joined"

Speaking to Pukk, Pietra says, "C'mon, tell everyone to join Cryheart."

Loscar says, "Protect us Rufus."

Chamorr heartily says, "Isnt there a price on his head."

Speaking to a black-eared red and grey fox, Akenna says, "Come on, Phalyn."

Speaking to Pietra, Pukk says, "Already did."

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "Thadston hasn't finished the bounty, that I know of."

Speaking to Pukk, Pietra exclaims, "Again! Again!"

Speaking to Chamorr, Goldstr says, "Should be soon but nae yet."

Leafiara says, "Certainly hasn't sent it to me for approval at any rate."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We are awaiting one more person, Malluch."

Evia asks, "We were approving a bounty hunt now?"

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Can we whack him."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Didja git bannitsh?"

Speaking wryly to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "No."

Akenna asks, "Wait, what?"

Loscar says, "We agreed not to do dat."

Speaking to Redwing, Pietra says, "You're real naked."

Leafiara says, "In any case, even if he does finish the draft of that bounty, I'm not likely to approve it."

Cryheart says, "We are having a discussion..and that is it."

Loscar exclaims, "Everyone remain calm!"

Cryheart says, "Ok."

Cryheart says, "Moving out."

Speaking to Redwing, Pukk asks, "So, how's it hanging?"

[travel]

[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]

You come across a burnt-out fire pit, evidence that others have travelled through this deep forest. The charred remains of a large log hold no lingering warmth, but do provide a certain security with their assurance that others have passed the night here safely. You also see a withered grey modwir tree, a red canvas tent, a red canvas tent, a covered wagon, a grey-armored bloodguard and a grey-armored bloodguard.

Also here: Loscar, Berost, Kippe, Pukk, Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Lord Chamorr, Guarrin, Stormyrain, Bernadette, Felita, Grand Lady Roelaren, Birch Guardian Akenna, Yukito, High Lord Gutstorm, Magister Raelee, Grand Lady Quintiana, Goldstr, Dame Evia, Redwing, Pietra, Fahlo, Grand Lord Mongonator, Alvyara, Sir Cryheart, Fisher Beldannon, Lord Thrassus, Lord Kothos, Ceilia, Xorus, Maerit, Barrister Faerinn, Lord Malluch

Cryheart says, "Aha."

Speaking to Malluch, Faerinn says, "Make then."

Speaking to Redwing, Pukk says, "Just hang in there."

Speaking to Malluch, Faerinn says, "You seem to understand what kind of bush I am beating around."

Cryheart says, "We are here."

Loscar says, "Um...hello."

Malluch nods at Faerinn.

Pukk exclaims, "They are in cahoots!"

Faerinn winks at Malluch.

Bernadette softly says, "Not likely."

Malluch says, "Thank you all for coming."

Malluch says, "Mayor, have you considered my request? I received your letter."

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "So, I took a vote yesterday. I'm the new Blood Son. I'm sorry to break it to you."

Speaking to Malluch, Faerinn says, "The pleasure is ours. I would like to see the people in the camps out of harm's way."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "I have considered it. Everything I wrote stands."

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Malluch.

Malluch says, "I'd have you ask me your question again, for the sake of not losing anything in translation so to speak."

Leafiara says, "Fair enough."

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos says, "I hope that is one of many matters we can put to rest, soon. The risk being here is for these people."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "In short, the question is whether you still want the pardon, given that even if it does deter Thadston, it might provoke either the Rooks or the current Rone into action."

Leafiara says, "I think the pardon is more dangerous to your cause than the lack of a pardon, potentially."

Leafiara says, "And I will add this..."

Malluch says, "I still request the pardon. Regardless of my status, there will be a measure of risks and a number of enemies."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "In other words, you get one lion off your back simply to get two more."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "Suppose I offer to deter Thadston so that we can try to prevent all attacks against you."

Thrassus says, "Then those mentioned would be working against the peace of the area, simple enough."

Malluch says, "The Brotherhood of Rooks do not let the office of mayor or her oaths sway their actions. Lylia could tell you that."

Lylia says, "Neither did the mayoral office allow the Rooks to sway her actions."

Lylia admits, "Generally."'

Leafiara thoughtfully taps a finger against her lips.

Pukk says, "But chocolate...that sways everything."

Escort Exchange

Malluch says, "Let's first discuss something more important than myself and any pardon."

Malluch motions to the tents in the forest.

Leafiara says, "Agreed. We can revisit that at the end of the discussion."

Malluch asks, "Has an escort been agreed upon?"

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Hes a con-vic, let him serve."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos says, "The Temple is ready, as well."

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "The cookie of piece and unity."

Speaking to Nuc, Pukk exclaims, "I half thank you!"

Cryheart says, "But with an understanding...and conditions."

Pukk says, "I ate teh chocolate side."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

'Malluch asks, "Which are?"

Malluch peers quizzically at Cryheart.

Loscar says, "I have concerns about the tents..."

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "Yes, but the circumstances give him some measure of innocence. Ideally we'd have a retrial, but there isn't time for that and in any case Malluch says he'll be gone in two weeks."

Cryheart says, "We do this on behest of Kothos, as he has offered the temple as a sanctuary."

Pietra says, "It'd be great if all of this... left."

Pietra glances between Malluch and a covered wagon.

Malluch says, "My father would lecture me about a day, long ago, when heroes existed without conditions."

Malluch smirks.

Evia says, "Which father..."

Cryheart says, "And the conditions...we shall escort your followers and those within the camp who seek healing....."

Malluch glances at Evia.

Pukk exclaims, "I say that not only do we pardon Malluch, but we try to get him a seat on the council!"

Malluch says, "Yes...you're right."

Malluch nods at Cryheart.

Pukk says, "That would upset Thaddy."

Cryheart says, "But at the risk of being seen with a criminal..we say ye shall follow us in another group."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Kothos says, "I cannot guarantee anything, but surely being further away from the battlements is at least some measure of safety. And with the Gryphons being willing to help..."

Malluch asks, "I will be apart from the others?"

Malluch says, "They will not agree to that."

Cryheart says, "For a short period of time."

Lylia adds, "The temple's location is also its own defense, to some extent."

Malluch says, "I am sorry, even if I wanted to, they would not."

Cryheart says, "The other group will follow us."

Chamorr heartily says, "He needs a meat shield."

Speaking to Malluch, Evia says, "They will if you ask it of them."

Faerinn says, "All the more reason to take care of the criminal bit now."

Alvyara asks, "Being seen with a criminal? Is that really a worry?"

Malluch agrees with Faerinn.

Speaking to Alvyara, Nuc says, "Politicians..."

Alvyara says, "We're all with him right now."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "I confess, I don't understand the concern either when we're--"

Leafiara says, "Exactly."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Jess a few paces away."

Akenna says, "I believe we don't want to aid and abet a criminal of the Empire."

Kothos says, "Save for our run-in with the Koarites four years ago, it's on the whole a very quiet place, for a nest of vipers."

Cryheart says, "Aye..just say that you could present a risk to them on the way...and the other group will consist of those who are not members of my Order."

Speaking softly to Alvyara, Chandrellia says, "With what Thaddy has in mind yes, if Thadston sees Malluch with the sick and wounded he won't care who is hurt to get his prize and Malluch is his prize."

Speaking to Leafiara, Evia says, "It has been stated that his status is fugitive, and that has not changed."

Alvyara says, "I knew knights cared about their image, but this is ridiculous."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Shaking babiesh and kishing handsh, all in a daysh werk fer a potilishin."

Loscar says, "A few paces away from what."

Cryheart turns to face Alvyara.

Malluch says, "I would think the Order who once defied the will of the Northern Sentinel and rushed into battle against Talador could perhaps overlook helping to escort one man among others and not worry about tarnished reputations."

Speaking to Evia, Leafiara says, "And yet here we are, speaking with him and not apprehending him."

Speaking heartily to Malluch, Chamorr says, "You should lead the caravan, way out in front."

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk asks, "You won't let me be in your group?"

Faerinn says, "With a pardon that issue is taken care of."

Alvyara says, "That's different, then, if the concern is for the followers' safety."

Cryheart says, "We are offering an escort for his followers and those who wish to be healed."

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk asks, "After all these years?"

Speaking softly to Alvyara, Chandrellia asks, "It's not about image, it's about the safety of the people, THAT is what concerns you most yes?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Nuc asks, "Do you intend to bind him?"

Malluch nods at Thrassus.

Cryheart says, "Ye will be close by."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "I hear what you're saying."

Cryheart says, "There will be at least two groups...."

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk says, "After all we have gone through together."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara asks, "Yes. But is it what they're saying?"

Speaking sardonically to Malluch, Cruxophim teases, "I seem to remember a time when you were hellbent on framing me."

Speaking deeply to Malluch, Berost says, "AN I would expect the supposed son o' a god to recognize when a good person be tryin ta help other folk."

Cryheart says, "One with the followers and other citizens who want healing and the Order of the Silver Gryphon....."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "We worried fer da safety of yer followers."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Pukk asks, "What's a little framing between friends?"

Speaking affably to Malluch, Cruxophim reminds, "Forgive and forget, though... as Pukk says."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Washa a shilber grippin?"

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "Crux and malluc haven't shared the half and half cookie. That's the problem here."

Malluch says, "It's interesting what people remember."

Malluch nods at Cruxophim.

Leafiara mumbles, "Well, that's true at least."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Cryheart says he's going to kick all of us none Gryphons out of his group."

Speaking nonchalantly to Malluch, Cruxophim remarks, "You want Xorus for the remembering."

Cryheart says, "Our role in defending the Landing which landed my Order in conflict with Earl Jovery has nothing to do with this venture."

Cryheart grins at Malluch.

Speaking uncertainly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "I'm not quite sure that's what I got out of this."

Speaking amicably to Malluch, Cruxophim jokes, "Besides, that's Leafiara's problem now."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Balley asks, "Have you healed any of the truly sick and at death's door while you have been here? Or are you waiting to make a show of it?"

Cryheart says, "Any other group can follow us."

Loscar says, "Not quite sure that's accurate either..."

Malluch asks, "Ironic, you accusing me of making a show of something, isn't it Balley?"

Leafiara diplomatically says, "I don't think there's a need to be rude tonight. We all have a lot to consider from many angles."

Speaking sternly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Watch how you speak to my mother."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk exclaims, "The fact that they don't want me in their Gryphon group or in their group tonight makes me want to join them so much more! I mean, they don't want me so they have standards!"

Cryheart says, "We are nae intending to insult anyone, but protect all."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Speaking gently to Malluch, Cruxophim agrees, "I was kidding, for what it's worth. Water under the eastern bridge."

Kothos says, "Is it wrong to say I don't so much care? I can see the coils of a trap, too, and manipulation. But if we can get these people away, keep them from being another caravan..."

Pietra asks, "Blah blah blah. What's the decision?"

Malluch grins at Cruxophim.

Speaking softly to Malluch, Balley says, "No I see you speak of healing others but I have only seen some small healing events. Have not seen you heal those who were truly at death's door."

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "I have no standards. If they won't take you, ya can travel with me."

Cryheart says, "We offer an escort for your followers and those who came to be healed by ye, Malluch."

Gutstorm takes a drink from his orange blossom ale.

CS: +282 - TD: +282 + CvA: +12 + d100: +90 - +20 == +82

Warded off!

Pukk says, "If they wanted me then I wouldn't join them...they set their standards too low."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Dish went bad."

Malluch says, "So let me make sure I understand it clearly then."

Malluch nods at Cryheart.

Speaking to Nuc, Pukk says, "Nope, you have no standards."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Pietra says, "This never goes bad."

Cryheart says, "Others can form a group and follow alongside us if they wish."

Cryheart turns an inquisitive ear toward Malluch.

Pietra offers Gutstorm a dragon-etched bottle of scotch.

Gutstorm accepts Pietra's bottle of scotch.

Malluch asks, "Those who travel with me, you'll escort together, but I will be moved away in a seperate group because I might be harmful to your reputation or seen by you?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me no need a shord."

Guarrin gazes up into the heavens.

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "Seriously?"

Guarrin takes a slow, deep breath then pinches the bridge of his nose.

Loscar exclaims, "Pukk come on you're like a rabbid Rolton when negotiatin!"

Speaking to Malluch, Guarrin responds, "No."

Cryheart says, "Actually, it prevents an attack upon your followers most likely."

Malluch says, "Then correct me."

Malluch nods at Guarrin.

Kothos says, "I can see the wisdom in that."

Speaking to Malluch, Evia asks, "Are you really in so strong a position to play spin doctor too now?"

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Indeed. Sometimes one can spot trouble and choose it anyway as the more beneficial decision. The foolish adherence to binary moral codes can cost lives, and often has."

Speaking diplomatically to Cryheart, Cruxophim suggests, "What if we all just followed you as normal, and you can just feign ignorance if worst comes to worst?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "If I may."

Cryheart nods at Guarrin.

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "You are corrected."

Malluch says, "I'm merely asking for clarification."

Roelaren says, "Some would more likely attack us than ye."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "First our reputation has nothing to do with you, it's for the safety of the sick. As I said, if Thaddy sees you or gets wind of this then most likely he may attack, and if he does, the sick and wounded will die for what? Becasue they followed you in hopes of getting healed just to die becasue of your arrogance?"

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Thankfully, we rarely deal in absolutes. Or fill in the blanks with breakfast cereal."

Speaking to Malluch, Guarrin says, "The need for two groups is strategic in nature alone. As Brother Kothos made the request for the followers to us, they are our priority."

Cruxophim politely suggests, "Nothing at all abnormal about a group of people following Cryheart for a stroll."

Cruxophim lightly adds, "An evening constitutional, if you will."

Speaking to Malluch, Guarrin says, "If you, and others, wish to walk alongside us, or nearby, that matters little. There are other strategic benefits though."

Speaking heartily to Malluch, Chamorr asks, "Is yer armed blood guard goin too?"

Malluch grins at Thrassus.

Thrassus shrugs.

Faerinn says, "Well at least we have gotten to the real meat of it."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "I didn't know you are a Gryphon."

Pukk says, "Wow."

Speaking to Malluch, Guarrin says, "For what it is worth, I've used a similar strategy to escort others."

Lylia whispers something to Kothos.

Faerinn says, "It's not an issue of reputation, but an issue that Thadston is bloodthirsty."

Pukk says, "Sometimes it's the not so quiet ones that surprise you."

Malluch asks, "So where was I wrong?"

Faerinn says, "But it makes sense."

Lylia says, "Thadston Andrews has never been bloodthirsty. He simply does not shy from doing what he feels he must."

Loscar whispers to the group, "Let's just go what's the worst that could happen?"

Speaking to Malluch, Guarrin says, "You need not be out of eyesight of your followers."

Malluch asks, "You will escort the camp to the Temple with one group and.....what of me? An escort from others?"

Kothos whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking dubiously to Faerinn, Cruxophim whispers aloud, "What ~are we discussing again? Escorting people to the temple?"

Nuc happily says, "If you're really concerned about people seeing him, disguise him."

Cryheart says, "You follow with us."

Speaking to Malluch, Evia says, "If someone wishes to do you harm, you will not bring it directly on your followers by proximity, quite simply."

Speaking to Lylia, Faerinn says, "This is not your Thadston, I'm afraid."

Leafiara professes, "I don't believe Thadston will be willing to attack when the Gryphons are escorting. I don't think he's that far gone, regardless of the... magical effects."

Nuc says, "Put a cloak and a hood on him, he'll blend right in with the crowd."

Lylia says, "I do not own any Thadstons."

Malluch says, "The lack of my presence didn't prevent the Brotherhood from slaughtering that caravan."

Pietra says, "All these sufferers are going to die because we're standing around flapping our gums."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "Look the bottom line is this, the Mayor gave an offer, either accept it and deal with it, or don't and let Thadston attack you and the camp and kill all the innocents there. However if you go with the lalter, how many do you think will follow you after that?"

Xorus wryly says, "You could use an empty caravan as a sleight of hand. Thadston almost caved in Praxopius' face once for that trick."

Guarrin says, "How fortunate, that in this scenario, they will have a guard."

Speaking heartily to Malluch, Chamorr says, "That has not been proven."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara whispers aloud, "No, this is the Gryphons' escort we're talking about right now."

Cryheart says, "Threat hae been made against ye...we wish to prevent further bloodshed for your followers and those who seek healing."

Faerinn concedes, "That is another fair point. A loose association was enough for the caravan to be attacked."

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk says, "Okay, so if he follows in another group he won't be in your group. But if his group is following your group close enough, then how would anybody know that he wasn't in your group? If you are too far away from his group so that people would know there are two groups, then you would be too far to escort and protect him."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia whispers aloud, "I know, that's what I am trying to get him to see."

Speaking to Cryheart, Nuc says, "Just disguise him, put him in a dark cloak. We'll get him right in unnoticed."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Did I make sense asking that?"

Cryheart says, "My Order has discussed this..and is what we decided."

Speaking to Pukk, Evia says, "Perhaps they will be the advance group hm? Ask Guarrin."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Made sense to me."

Kothos whispers something to Melikor.

Melikor whispers something to Lylia.

The voice of Greycrown asks, "Anything needs shooting around here?"

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos asks, "Could you tell me the number of your camp here?"

Malluch asks, "Yes, I suppose I could disguise myself in your group no?"

Malluch smirks.

Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk exclaims, "Ooh I got something for you!"

Loscar asks, "Twelve?"

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos says, "You were wearing one when you arrived and I still knew who you were."

Speaking deeply to Malluch, Berost says, "The fact they even willin ta help ya and yer followers tell ya all ya need ta know bout tha Gryphons."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Wanna wear a mashk?"

Chandrellia softly says, "That wasn't the deal."

Speaking helpfully to Malluch, Cruxophim offers, "I believe I have a black goatee, if that would help."

Gutstorm shows Malluch his bronze death mask.

Pukk offers Malluch a silver-haloed milky azure aquamarine talisman.

Pukk says, "This will disguise you."

Chamorr heartily says, "Give him a gown."

Cryheart says, "Not trying to make ye appear foolish..but we are wanting to safeguard your followers if we are able."

Chandrellia softly says, "I have high-heeled shoes."

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "It has magical properies that will make you look like another person."

Malluch says, "While I question the logic of your decision..."

Malluch says, "I will speak to my followers. I cannot force them to do anything."

Pietra asks, "Can we just get the sick folks and go?"

Malluch says, "I know them."

Malluch says, "They will not go without me."

Guarrin says, "They're not leaving without you."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "If ye truly care fer yer people ye should do wha our Order requests."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Then you know they should do as you ask for their safety and concern."

Malluch says, "Because unlike me, they do not have fear for themselves. They think me almost foolish for trying to escort them."

Malluch says, "But I know this town and I know Thadston."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "But you don't know our Mayor."

Akenna whispers aloud, "Selfish."

Chamorr heartily says, "I thought this escort was fer the sick an feeble folks."

Cryheart says, "And we know of that relationship...the main reason we went to our decision."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Pukk hangs a silver-haloed milky azure aquamarine talisman around his neck.

Leafiara says, "Do you know this Thadston, though? I don't know when you were let out of prison, but it might have been years since then."

Pukk's body, including any visible musculature, relaxes significantly. His skin then ripples violently, its appearance shifting, and sharp cracking sounds come from beneath his skin as his body transforms to alter his height and body.

The transformation seems to come to its conclusion as the cracking sounds fade away and Pukk's visible skin firms up around his muscles and facial features. It isn't entirely clear if this is an illusion framing him or his true form.

Speaking to Malluch, Nuc says, "Be smart, come in disguised, and don't risk lives! be reasonable."

Chamorr heartily says, "And not the whole camp."

Leafiara says, "People do change."

Speaking to Pukk, Pietra says, "Oooh, you're a dark elf now."

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Leafiara clarifies, "Rather, it might have been years since the Thadston you knew."

Chamorr heartily asks, "What happens to the blood guard?"

Cryheart asks, "If your group and those who came to seek healing...would they not be ok with you being in their sight?"

Chamorr heartily says, "Where are they in all this."

Lylia says, "Years? Yes, about twenty-eight more to serve, I believe. But of course, we no longer pay such heed to justice."

Speaking to Chamorr, Pietra asks, "Apparently they get run through with ballista logs and die in the forest?"

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "I gotta get me one of those. Maybe i can finally win me a lady."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk asks, "How do I look now?"

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "I'm just anxious."

Lylia says, "Thadston has always been a just man. Harsh, and just, and not one who is given to harming the infirm for the sake of cruelty."

Cryheart says, "Kothos will be part of our group, by the way."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara mouths, "I know."

Malluch slowly empties his lungs.

Chandrellia softly says, "This is getting us nowhere Mayor, he keeps skirting around the issue like a school girl running from a boy in the playground."

Speaking to Pukk, Lylia replies, "Better than you ever have, if you do not mind my saying so."

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Wolfloner asks, "Who does Thadston answer to?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Kothos says, "I know the route to sin rather well. I live there."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "I am Pukk. I always look good."

Kippe quietly states, "Thadston likely has ears within the group and would not be fooled by splitting the group up."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Leafiara says, "The town council, and he might be willing to listen to me. Short of that, though, he's at the top of the militia."

Speaking to Cryheart, Kothos says, "I'll get to be you for a stroll in the dark."

Speaking to Cryheart, Roelaren asks, "Have we decided on the day yet?"

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "Maybe just put this fella to sleep and wrap him in some blankets."

Pietra asks, "Are we going to do this, or just stand around with our thumbs up our bums?"

Speaking to Pukk, Nuc says, "He not really listening."

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Wolfloner asks, "Would the town council order him to stand down?"

Kothos says, "...we could go right now."

Malluch asks, "So what is a safe distance from my followers then?"

Speaking to Pietra, Leafiara says, "I think tonight's just the planning stage."

Malluch asks, "As you travel?"

Speaking to Wolfloner, Leafiara says, "Probably not."

Speaking softly to Kippe, Chandrellia says, "If that's the case then he will know what he is disguised as too, so either way the innocent are the ones at risk."

Speaking to Pietra, Pukk asks, "Why can't we do both?"

Malluch asks, "Three feet? Six? Twelve?"

Speaking to Kippe, Goldstr says, "Dat why we split it, to keep da poor folks safe."

Speaking drunkenly to Pietra, Gutstorm says, "Dat idea kinna ticklesh."

Guarrin says, "Four and a half."

Speaking absently to Faerinn, Cruxophim wonders, "Are we doing this tonight?"

Speaking to Pukk, Pietra says, "Good point."

Malluch says, "You must understand how I find this a bit...."

Cryheart says, "So your group can see ye."

Malluch says, "Silly."

Malluch says, "So one foot."

Speaking to Malluch, Pietra says, "You're not the only one."

Speaking simply to Goldstr, Kippe repeats, "He won't be fooled."

Loscar says, "Oh their illusions."

Speaking to Leafiara, Nuc says, "Just knock this guy out and take him in already. This is getting ridiculously out of hand."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Seems ye bein da silly and stubborn one."

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk asks, "Right. If you follow closely, then you might as well be in the group. If you follow too far away, then how can they escort you? Right?"

Malluch says, "No, we don't travel tonight. I've spoken to my people and they need at least until the eve of Restday. We may have more joining us. So we wait."

Speaking to Nuc, Leafiara says, "I don't think it has to come to that, not right now at least."

Speaking to Leafiara, Nuc says, "He's just a regular human, I can drag him if ya need."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "It's an easy choice, if you truly care for those that follow you."

Speaking to Pietra, Kothos says, "Charming suggestion, but it wasn't quite what I was thinking."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Wait more joining us?"

Malluch says, "Chandrellia, with all due respect, it isn't a choice, nor is it easy to even understand the parameters of said conditions."

Speaking deeply to Malluch, Berost says, "A lot here find it silly we even talkin bout pardonin you, whereas we should jest be throwin yas back into that cell. But here we are."

Loscar says, "Sounds like stalling to me at this point."

Malluch says, "Pardon me for trying to fully understand something before agreeing to anything that impacts me and my people."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Sure it is, you are the son of a God as you proclaim simply bid them to do as you so ask for their safety."

Speaking to Malluch, Nuc says, "Its not a choice, not sure what we're even negotiating. Let's go already. Easy way or hard way."

Cryheart says, "We completely understand that."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "Oooh he told you."

Nuc says, "Nothing gets done standing around a forest."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "I tawt he wash da shon of da rock fella in town?"

Nuc says, "It's a good way to get yourself in trouble."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "That is truly the only reason I've heard that makes sense."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "He is."

Speaking heartily to Cryheart, Chamorr says, "There is an armed force, and ya don't know where they are gonna be. Is that right."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "The more they don't want him in their group. The more I want him in their group. I'm a sick puppy."

Cryheart says, "We hope there will nae be an armed force...but we do as requested."

Speaking to Pukk, Pietra says, "Yes, you really are."

Nuc asks, "Don't we have some fancy wizard majicks that could open a portal to our destination?"

Speaking to Malluch, Evia asks, "How many, might we ask, shall we expect?"

[General] Fahlo thinks, "Yes but not in Ta'Vaalor, sadly."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr asks, "Ye knows as a fugitive of justice ye will be chased down. Why put yer own folks in dat danger?"

Malluch says, "It could reach a hundred or more."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "Did you know he had more people coming for this?"

Loscar asks, "What kinda question is that Evia!?"

Malluch says, "I've been contacted by some from town who wish to leave and join us."

Speaking to Nuc, Lylia says, "Wizards are not the only means of transporting people large distances at a step."

Speaking to Nuc, Pietra says, "That would make it quick. And nothing ever goes quick with this group."

Loscar exclaims, "We shouldn't let any!"

Cryheart says, "We might ask a bard or two to join us as well."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "Not until just now, but then again we never knew how many people he had in the first place."

Malluch nods at Kothos.

Cryheart says, "To be determined."

Speaking to Goldstr, Faerinn says, "That may be fixed in like five minutes..."

Speaking to Loscar, Evia asks, "It's good to know if you plan to protect a group, how large it might be?"

Speaking to Lylia, Nuc says, "Seems like a practical solution if no one wants to subdue him."

Chamorr heartily says, "Ok."

Lylia says, "He was slated to be 'subdued' for another twenty-eight years."

Loscar says, "Expect the worst, Evia."

Chamorr heartily says, "It is what it is."

Malluch grins at Lylia.

Speaking to Cryheart, Faerinn says, "I've already given my word to help this caravan before Kothos sent the letter. So you just need one more bard."

Lylia gazes in amusement at Malluch.

Speaking to Cryheart, Kothos says, "One of my favorite people has a lovely voice."

Speaking to Malluch, Lylia says, "I never was a 'law and order' candidate. That would be Xorus."

Speaking in Guildspeak, Fahlo says something you don't understand.

Alvyara quietly asks, "It's amazing how many want to join you.. do you show them the feats of healing that you won't show to us? The curing of the blind, the bringing children back from the brink of death?"

Loscar says, "Did someone leave a drape open I think I felt the wind..."

Speaking in Guildspeak, Fahlo says something you don't understand.

Malluch glances at Alvyara.

Cryheart says, "Tis raining hard indeed."

Malluch says, "It is not just healing of the flesh."

Malluch nods at Alvyara.

Alvyara tersely says, "I see."

Speaking quietly to Alvyara, Lylia says, "People do not need much at all to cling to for hope. Hearing a tale of healing is often enough."

Malluch says, "The truth I bring awakens purpose in others."

Alvyara says, "And I'm grateful to you still for my healing. But..."

Speaking to Malluch, Pietra says, "You could make a great business healing people's minds around here...."

Lylia adds, "Especially after a lengthy blight."

Speaking deeply to Malluch, Berost says, "Ya bring blood and death ..."

Malluch says, "I believe, I think, perhaps, I slightly understand your conditions...."

Cruxophim nonchalantly opines, "I just look forward to a good ol' fashioned tent revival."

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "Oh, you must be a monk then."

Speaking quietly to Lylia, Raelee adds, "... and those discussions are likely of a very different character. They do not begin as arguments."

Speaking to Pietra, Evia says, "Good one."

Speaking to Malluch, Alvyara says, "You would do yourself a service if you let these people see more of your works."

Malluch says, "You will escort my followers as long as I stay six feet away...."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara mumbles, "Ain't that the truth."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Goldstr nods at Malluch.

Cryheart says, "Nae too close..but close enough so they can see ye."

Malluch says, "I will present the option to them, but I am not confident they will proceed."

Chamorr heartily says, "6 feet."

Goldstr nods at Cryheart.

Malluch says, "They will want me among them. With them. At arm's length."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Then it will be on you what happens after that."

Malluch asks, "Will it?"

Loscar says, "That was a double negative." [he had typoed; I fixed it]

Malluch peers quizzically at Chandrellia.

Chandrellia softly says, "Yes."

Balley softly says, "This is a game."

Lylia disdainfully says, "They are people, not pets; surely they can be told the reasons for the lengthy caravan instead of moving together as a group, and see what wisdom there may be in it."

Chamorr heartily says, "Malluch is gonna be 6 feet away and wear a mask."

Cryheart says, "Hopefully you can reassure them that you will be there."

Loscar asks, "You're not not confident?"

Pietra says, "We could all hold hands, and then all your folks in the middle, and we can sing songs and prance over to the temple. Yep."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Let dem knows it be fer der safety."

Chamorr heartily says, "Where have I heard that afore."

Malluch says, "You, as an ex-mayor, should understand that wisdom is less contagious than a witch's plague."

Malluch nods at Lylia.

Chandrellia softly exclaims, "If you do not convince them to be helped that will be on you, they look to you! They believe in you! So continue to give them that hope and get them to safety!"

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos says, "You could always go first, you know."

Speaking to Malluch, Kothos says, "And tell them that you await them there."

Lylia replies, "I am well aware. No one heeded my wisdom when I recommended that you be put to a quick and merciful death following your trial, but that idea did not 'catch' with the jury."

Lylia smiles at Malluch.

Speaking cagily to Malluch, Cruxophim interjects, "I'm working on that, actually."

Lylia says, "No offense intended, of course."

Chamorr heartily says, "My ears is bleedin."

Alvyara says, "It's just as it ever is. People with power bickering over how to secure the fates of those with little."

Chamorr heartily says, "Night folks."

Speaking to Kothos, Goldstr says, "Verra good thought der."

Malluch says, "And here we are."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "You tell us that your power is more than just healing the body, then allow them to see the importance of being helped. Or is that beyond your powers?"

Malluch smiles at Lylia.

Loscar says, "That was my seargent who just left."

Loscar says, "...wait."

Malluch says, "You want me to look after my people, while asking me to also force them to do something."

Malluch says, "How convenient for you."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "Convince, Goddess above are you really that simple minded?"

Cryheart says, "Ok..suggestion."

Malluch slowly empties his lungs.

Lylia counters, "Perhaps it is the notion that they are 'your people' that rankles some here."

Malluch agrees with Lylia.

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Yer puttin words in folks mouths now dat nae beens said."

Malluch says, "Indeed, they are not my people, in that sense."

Speaking slyly to Malluch, Cruxophim quips, "I'll take any you don't want."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps it will be better if the group you are in ..is the advanced group..so your followers can see ye at all times."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia asks, "You have skirted around every chance to help your people, we have offered suggestions to do so to meet in the middle yet every time you think of some other way to avoid this. Do you really want these people in safety?"

Faerinn says, "Some here are Stone's people."

Cryheart says, "The advanced group will be making sure the road is clear."

Cryheart glances at Malluch.

Malluch turns away from Chandrellia, ignoring her.

Thrassus asks, "A priest often refers to their followers as thier flock. How is this any different?"

Cruxophim casually concludes, "I don't know, just tell me where I need to be and who needs killing. Or healing. Or killing then healing."

Cryheart asks, "Did ye hear that Malluch?"

Chandrellia softly says, "Must have hit a nerve on that one."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Da Lady spoke truth."

Malluch says, "So a third group? I am quite confused."

Cryheart says, "No."

Cryheart says, "Two groups."

Speaking to Berost, Lylia says, "If we were not outside town, the constabulary might have something to say about it all...but then, he was not held the first time."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Pukk says, "You could kill then heal and then eat them."

Pietra says, "I'll be in the third group. At the bar. Drinking."

Cryheart says, "The group with others and ye, shall make sure the road is clear..."

Malluch asks, "Who would be among the advance group?"

Alvyara says, "I think he doesn't care very much, frankly. He wants power and control, not to help them."

Guarrin says, "Gryphons and others."

Speaking smoothly to Pukk, Cruxophim mouths, "Yum."

Malluch asks, "But none of my people?"

Malluch peers quizzically at Guarrin.

Speaking to Pietra, Kothos says, "I admit a strong impulse to go with you and biing my thumbs. But I'm committed."

Guarrin says, "They would be following behind, as Thrassus said."

Cryheart nods at Malluch.

Guarrin asks, "A flock follows its shepherd, no?"

Malluch shrugs.

Speaking softly to Alvyara, Chandrellia says, "See what happens when you truly look at someone, just as I told you that day outside the Mayor's office."

Speaking to Kothos, Pietra says, "You only need thumbs to hold the glass. No insertion in bum required or encouraged."

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "I like that idea. That way they can see you and they are protected."

Malluch says, "I shall present it to them, and I will do my best to convince them it is for the best, and our only option for a true escort."

Cryheart says, "A strong force of citizens of the Landing with ye..."

Thrassus says, "I was regarding the angst over calling his followers his people."

Evia says, "Well there we have it, shepherds to the front, follower to the rear."

Cryheart says, "Then the guard group with your followers shall be behind."

Speaking to Thrassus, Guarrin says, "Ah, apologies."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Tankee fer dat."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Good boy, it's about time."

Malluch glances at Chandrellia.

Chandrellia pats Malluch lightly on the head.

Yukito shows Malluch his cloth-bound book.

Cryheart says, "If there is trouble, then the advanced group can deal with it, and hopefully will not spill over to the guard group."

Malluch grins at Yukito.

Speaking curiously to Cryheart, Kippe asks, "Do you really believe Thadston won't know about this plan?"

Yukito nods at Malluch.

Malluch says, "Don't touch me again."

Malluch glances at Chandrellia.

Pukk says, "Tell him again."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "Members ye nae be takin wid enemies but jess folks tryin ta help in da right way."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "Or what? I have been killed three times in a row not much more you could do to me."

Speaking to Kippe, Guarrin says, "The hope is that he will do the right thing."

Loscar asks, "Which group am I in?"

Cryheart says, "Well..if folks go blathering about...aye."

Speaking amicably to Chandrellia, Cruxophim offers, "You can pat me, if you'd like."

Pukk says, "I could always sing to you."

Pardon For the Course

Malluch asks, "What then, of the other matter?"

Malluch peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Leafiara slowly empties her lungs.

Speaking to Malluch, Pietra says, "You're not invited to the bar. Sorry, blood dude."

Cryheart says, "Thadston should know that we are leading the group away from town....his grief was to keep them out of town."

Kothos says, "What night will this happen? Before we totally lose the plan again."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara professes, "I still think a retrial makes more sense legally than either a pardon or immediate re-imprisonment, in light of the further information revealed about Praxopius after your initial trial. But I also think the first priority is managing this escort situation before we can even consider that, and I realize we're short on time."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps the mayor can remind him of that."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "So, instead, walk me through the logic here..."

Pietra whispers something to Kothos.

Speaking to Pietra, Kothos says, "Bless you. And your bum."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara reasons, "Right now I'm assuming you want a pardon to deter Thadston, because you don't have any intention of living in town afterward. Thus, you don't want the pardon for your own sake, but for others in your camp. Am I correct in that?"

Speaking teasingly to Pietra, Kothos asks, "What?"

Loscar exclaims, "Here we go!"

Malluch says, "The pardon would lift a burden my father still feels."

Leafiara says, "So for others in your camp as well as for Murdos."

Leafiara thoughtfully taps a finger against her lips.

Lylia flatly asks, "We do not punish the father for the sins of the son; why should the father then bear his shame?"

Chandrellia softly asks, "And a retrial that brings your innocence perhaps would not do that same thing, perhaps more?"

Malluch says, "Because wisdom is not contagious."

Lylia raises her voice in merry laughter.

Lylia admits, "Oh, well played."

Lylia nods in agreement.

Malluch grins at Lylia.

Loscar says, "Nor is humility apparently."

Speaking to Malluch, Goldstr says, "So ye nae caught it."

Cryheart whispers something to Kippe.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Pukk says, "I like that."

Speaking to himself, Pukk mutters, "Thaddy Daddy."

Pietra loudly exclaims, "I'll see you all whenever this happens, at the bar. Yep!"

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara admits, "I'm unable to convince myself that it's safer for your camp to give the pardon than not to. And, as I said, I'd be willing to deter Thadston from pursuing you outside the gates."

Malluch says, "The pardon can have multiple reasons to happen, and to make sense."

Malluch says, "I never said I would never return ever."

Lylia says, "There is no pretext for a retrial; if there ever was, it might have been due to one of the jury's being tampered with, but he was removed from it, and the trial proceeded normally. I did not like the verdict, but it was a legitimate one."

Kippe whispers something to Cryheart.

Leafiara peers quizzically at Malluch.

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "See there it is."

Chandrellia softly says, "I knew it."

Lylia says, "Though that is a discussion for another evening, I would imagine."

In a skilled imitation of Malluch, Pukk says, "I will never return."

Speaking to Leafiara, Evia asks, "And how would you do that if I may ask?"

Malluch says, "My father would live a longer life with a son pardoned of his crimes."

Speaking scornfully to Malluch, Cruxophim mocks, "You want a pardon to make sense? In the Landing? Have you lost your mind?"

Pukk exclaims, "I heard him!"

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "Then we could reassess it at that time. Right now the concern should be for these people."

Leafiara indicates the red canvas tent as a possible option.

Malluch says, "And given the Alchemist's manipulations..."

Leafiara indicates the covered wagon as a possible option.

Malluch asks, "Will my new cell be next to Thrayzar's, if he is ever found?"

Malluch asks, "Or just me alone?"

Mekimin softly inquires, "Didn't Socius receive a pardon for similar reasons?"

Leafiara says, "As I wrote to you, I agree that the pardon makes sense in principle. But I'm trying to do right by you as far as the outcome, too, and deterring attacks."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Mekimin, Faerinn says, "Socius went to trial. There was no pardon."

Loscar says, "Would you like him to torment others or further the line..."

Malluch asks, "Is Thrayzar innocent as Rone?"

Malluch peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Mekimin says, "So a retrial then."

Evia whispers something to Lylia.

Leafiara says, "Yes, which is why I just said the pardon makes sense in principle."

Speaking dryly to Malluch, Cruxophim clarifies, "Which Rone?"

Speaking amusedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "The Thrayzar one, obviously."

Speaking curiously to Leafiara, Cruxophim inquires, "Also, is the DeArchon home being reconstructed?"

Speaking musingly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "Up to them, I suppose. They certainly have the funding."

Speaking drolly to Leafiara, Cruxophim mutters, "I lost track."

Malluch says, "It is a shame. The measure of a man must have been revised when the likes of Stephos and Drangell get pardons....but the victim of the Alchemist's manipulations does not."

Evia whispers something to Lylia.

Leafiara says, "The primary trouble with this pardon question is the timing. If you were asking when the situation wasn't so volatile, I'd give it very easily."

Loscar asks, "Stephos was an outlaw?"

Kothos says, "It looks like Stephos' house is being rebuilt, in fact."

Goldstr says, "Stephos was a tief."

Loscar says, "Yeah I know..."

Lylia reminds, "I did not pardon anyone, and I would cheerfully have had Stephos' head from his shoulders, had I the opportunity to do so."

Pukk asks, "And....?"

Kothos says, "Moreover, he sold weapons to the Kral."

Speaking to Loscar, Thrassus says, "He sold weapons to the krolvin."

Evia asks, "Wait a second here, I thought the pardon was offered...not requested, which is it?"

Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Cruxophim reminds, "He was useful... for a bit."

Loscar says, "He was friends with Krissy..."

Speaking to Evia, Leafiara says, "I briefly mentioned the thought of it and then he reasoned that it's a possibility. At that point it became a consideration."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "I will say it as often as you want to think on it."

Leafiara clarifies, "So I was indeed the one who brought it up first."

Malluch asks, "Do you have a final answer then?"

Malluch peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Speaking casually to Thrassus, Cruxophim opines, "He's a worm of a man, but he did supply us with weapons as well, ultimately."

Pukk asks, "Who pardoned Stephos?"

Guarrin whispers something to Lylia.

Alvyara whispers something to Kothos.

Leafiara points at Cruxophim.

Speaking wryly to Thrassus, Cruxophim states, "He just needed a bit of... convincing."

Thrassus says, "Fair enough."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "Right now, my answer is no. In two weeks after you're gone, I'll reconsider that in the event that you do want to return home later."

Malluch says, "I see."

Malluch nods.

Leafiara says, "I don't intend to provoke the strain of vigilantism in the town that you seem to have somehow forgotten about or underestimate."

Thrassus says, "So we are to expect bounty hunters then, I see."

Leafiara says, "No, as I said, I'll still aim to deter Thadston for Malluch and his people."

Leafiara says, "The pardon is a separate matter."

Malluch asks, "Vigilantism is only approved and supported by you if I were in a mask with a silver beak then?"

Malluch nods.

Malluch says, "Understood."

Loscar says, "It shouldn't be a pardon it should just be confinement and rehibilitation."

Thrassus says, "Thadston might not attack the caravan, but bounty hunters will have no qualms about doing so."

Speaking amusedly to Malluch, Leafiara says, "That's a nice try, truly."

Pukk says, "Awwww. I was hoping for a pardon since everybody was really really against it."

Speaking to Lylia, Cruxophim sobs, "Our mayor is all grown up."

Leafiara says, "Thadston has to run the bounty past me and I won't approve it."

Leafiara says, "If that's any form of encouragement."

Malluch says, "Thadston hasn't run anything by anyone his entire time here."

Speaking to Thrassus, Goldstr says, "Bounty hunters will be facin da Silver Gryphons."

(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Hahaha."

Wolfloner darkly says, "True enough."

Speaking to Goldstr, Thrassus says, "Who will be escorting Malluch and not the caravan."

Leafiara says, "As I said earlier, I don't believe he's so far gone that he'll encourage anything that could result in an attack on the Gryphons."

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Wolfloner says, "He has a point."

Leafiara says, "If I'm wrong in that, then I have the town guard at my disposal."

Malluch says, "If he does not attack before then...."

Speaking to Thrassus, Goldstr says, "Yer right, we be escortin da caravan."

Chandrellia softly says, "Then I suggest you speak quickly with your followers to ensure their safety."

Loscar asks, "Mine?"

Mekimin asks, "Or perhaps protective custody would be in order?"

Lylia asks, "Hm. 'So far gone?' Is he unwell still, beyond being blind? Have I missed so much, having traveled more often?"

Malluch nods at Thrassus.

Speaking to Lylia, Guarrin asks, "Who, Thadston?"

Lylia says, "Yes."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara offers, "I can increase guard detail at the gates on the night of the escort and at least delay any pursuit by the militia."

Lylia says, "People are speaking of him as though he has lost his faculties as well as his vision."

Malluch says, "Which is still four nights away..."

Malluch says, "He could attack any minute."

Cryheart says, "That is always possible."

Speaking curiously to Malluch, Cruxophim inquires, "Thadston?"

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Malluch.

Malluch nods at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Lylia, Faerinn says, "Well, you remember what he did to Glethad."

Chandrellia whisperr something to Leafiara.

Alvyara quietly says, "Good night, everyone. Stay focused on the important things. I know you will."

Leafiara says, "...is there any chance whatsoever that Thadston doesn't already know about this plan, however? It's not especially secret."

Leafiara says, "And he hasn't acted yet."

Malluch says, "Which makes the pardon all more relevant and timely."

Speaking fondly to Lylia, Cruxophim muses, "Remember the arm?"

Malluch says, "But, you have made your decision."

Loscar glances at Leafiara and raises his hand.

Speaking to Leafiara, Goldstr says, "I sure he's heard alls been said here."

Speaking to Loscar, Leafiara asks, "Yes?"

Speaking to Goldstr, Leafiara says, "I agree."

Malluch says, "I hope, with all respect Mayor, that these special conditions you are applying to me, you do not hold for others."

Loscar says, "I have concerns."

Lylia says, "I do remember what he did to Glethad, and while I did not favor it, I saw the reasoning behind it. It was not insane, but merely irrational."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "As your master is fond of saying, I am not your enemy."

Malluch says, "Should Thrayzar ever be found, I would not wish for the same conditions to be placed on him."

Speaking suddenly to Lylia, Cruxophim declaims, "Demons!"

Malluch asks, "And you speak of a third Rone now?"

Speaking to Malluch, Pukk says, "Not me."

Lylia says, "Oh, excellent."

Leafiara says, "There is indeed a third Rone."

Speaking dubiously to Leafiara, Cruxophim inquires, "And who is this one?"

Parting Shots

Malluch says, "I will speak to my followers. I will let them know the conditions of heroes."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Leafiara admits, "No guesses as of yet. They're laying very low compared to the previous two."

Malluch says, "And I will inform you of their decision as soon as I can."

Faerinn says, "Maybe the Rone costume decided its wants to do its own thing now."

Leafiara amiably says, "Spin it how you like. You always have."

Malluch says, "If agreed, we'll move on the night of Restday."

Kothos says, "I'd take them all right now. This very moment, if we could get over all this..."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "The clock's ticking."

Malluch says, "Literally, Sir Cryheart said the word conditions."

Malluch nods at Leafiara.

Roelaren says, "Good."

Malluch says, "It is no web I spin. Just truth."

Speaking diffidently to Faerinn, Cruxophim suggests, "Maybe it's me."

Cryheart says, "Aye, I did."

Malluch says, "Which is the most frightening of all to some."

Speaking to Kothos, Kippe says, "That would likely be the best move."

Cryheart grins at Malluch.

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "Fair, I suppose."

Speaking quietly to Kippe, Kothos says, "It's not even that far."

Loscar exclaims, "Oh good I'll be awake around the sixth hour that night I can come with my support dragon!"

Leafiara assures, "But I am trying my best to do right by you."

Malluch says, "You have failed."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Faerinn says, "I think there would be way more blood if you were Rone the Third."

Malluch says, "But I appreciate the attempt."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "I would hope my return of your symbol is proof of my sincerity, even if we disagree regarding the pardon."

Leafiara looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Evia whispers something to Guarrin.

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "I doubt anyone could do right by you."

Malluch says, "A Mayor has many strings, it is hard to dance to all of them at once."

Loscar says, "Well way to be grumpy about it."

Malluch nods at Leafiara.

Malluch says, "I respect your attempt, as I said."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara affirms, "I did indeed fulfill a promise to take important decisions like this to the people, as I told you, and they persuaded me."

Malluch says, "But a greater mayor would have succeeded."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia exclaims, "Hey now she is really good at two stepping!"

Lylia says, "Doing right by him is doing wrong by what passes for justice. He owes the town twenty-eight years, and if he is to be pardoned, then there should be a reason for it beyond expediency."

Speaking calmly to Leafiara, Cruxophim offers, "Would you like my gauntlet?"

Leafiara says, "Had it been me alone, I would have given the pardon unqualified on principle alone, but you are the one who's made this largely a matter of outcomes."

Leafiara nods at Malluch.

Leafiara says, "Not entirely, admittedly."

Loscar says, "I supported it, they went all kobold poop about it."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "And despite whatever you might think of me, I will take other measures to deter your pursuers as I said."

Kothos says, "...I take it, that I can just head off to my swamp. Alone."

Speaking to Malluch, Roelaren says, "I think no matter who was Mayor you would have the same thing to say, even though you would claim otherwise."

Malluch says, "Perhaps this can be a lesson for your future then. You are naive to think you can govern at the popularity of others. This town will pull you in a thousand directions and leave you to rot. Leadership is anticipating the needs of others, and fairly, not always pausing to consider a hundred outcomes and appease a hundred masters."

Malluch says, "Maybe when I'm on the town council next...."

Malluch smirks.

Malluch says, "Regardless, thank you for the pardon consideration."

Speaking to Kippe, Kothos says, "If I could move as quietly as you, I'd sneak them all away under my snake."

Malluch nods at Leafiara.

Speaking shrewdly to Malluch, Cruxophim teases, "I've got my eyes on you."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "There's no reasoning with a spoiled brat rich kid. If he doesn't get his way entirely he's just going to find some way to cry about it and make it your problem not his."

Leafiara says, "The people knew exactly who they were voting for. Lylia said similar on the 5118 debate floor."

Leafiara shrugs.

Leafiara says, "And I never countered it because it is true."

Loscar says, "That sounds awful Malluch."

Speaking wryly to Kothos, Kippe advises, "Practice."

Speaking to Kippe, Kothos says, "My practice runs to another purpose."

Malluch says, "Thank you all for coming. I will update you on the decision of my camp, and I hope they can see this is the best option."

Malluch says, "I would also ask..."

Malluch says, "We need protection at the Temple."

Malluch says, "Once they arrive and until the Blood God comes for us."

Speaking softly to Malluch, Chandrellia says, "She has been pulled in a thousand directions, she is being pulled by trying to deter Thadston, for you, so think about that and get your nose down before something flies up it."

Speaking amusedly to Kothos, Kippe says, "I'm aware."

Malluch says, "It matters little to be escorted to a swamp and then left to be picked off."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara asks, "Among your followers are our citizens, correct?"

Loscar says, "I'd rather a thousand strings pulling a marionette than one puppet master."

Malluch says, "Yes."

Leafiara ponders.

Kothos says, "We have a handful of advanced practitioners in the Temple Order."

Lylia says, "The preferable position, of course, is that of the one pulling strings."

Loscar says, "Even a string puller can have help."

Lylia says, "Always a bit of a challenge, though. Things get so very tangled."

Cruxophim sublimely states, "Or no strings... at all."

Malluch says, "I don't need the solution tonight. But, we'll need protection until we join the Blood God."

Loscar says, "Yeah about that blood god..."

Leafiara says, "The bounty won't get past me unless the town council bypasses me. Even if that happens, I'll see what I can do about guaranteeing that at least the temple is safe."

Leafiara says, "On the basis that our citizens will be there."

Malluch says, "If the bounty is announced, and he comes for me, I will have to defend myself."

Malluch nods at Leafiara.

Loscar asks, "Wait am I a citizen...?"

Malluch says, "And my people."

Speaking to Malluch, Leafiara says, "That's understood and I take no issue with it."

Malluch says, "Clearly."

Leafiara reiterates, "Though, again, I will try to prevent it from coming to that."

Kothos says, "The Temple's locaton offers some protection on its own."

Speaking to Malluch, Faerinn says, "Still the other option. Would likely stop in his tracks even harder."

Guarrin asks, "Why would he need a bounty?"

Malluch nods at Kothos.

Loscar says, "Kothos you keep going on about this temple."

Speaking huskily to Kothos, Cruxophim remarks, "Nice view, too."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Kothos says, "The best in the world."

Malluch says, "Thank you all again. Goodnight."

Malluch nods.

Speaking softly to Goldstr, Chandrellia asks, "Will the Gryphons remain close by to add another layer of safety around the temple for those inside?"

Speaking to Kothos, Faerinn says, "Inside or outside."

Speaking to Kothos, Guarrin says, "I inspected it the other day, it is in a good location."

Cryheart says, "There was no intent to mock ye."

Loscar says, "Oh my."

Speaking darkly to Malluch, Wolfloner says, "May your new faith fare better than your former one."

Malluch wanders off into the depths of the woods, disappearing behind the hazy glow of campfires.

Discussion Afterward

Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos says, "Anyone coming with an agenda would have some issue with the entry, I would think."

Cryheart says, "Ok..onward to Moot Hall folks."

Cryheart says, "Moving out."

Speaking to Kothos, Guarrin says, "Even beyond that...I do have some suggestions for improvements for it."

Xorus says, "I was never paid for the last bounty on Malluch."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "I don't think so. Even once."

Cryheart says, "Moving out."

[travel]

Leafiara mutters, "Yeah, don't I know it."

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a large purple wooden barrel and a faded circle of smeared blood along the side of Moot Hall.

Also here: Loscar, Berost, Kippe, Pukk, Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Guarrin, Bernadette, Felita, Grand Lady Roelaren, Birch Guardian Akenna, Yukito, Fisher Beldannon, Maerit, Magister Raelee, Dame Evia, Imperatrix Lylia, Wolfloner, Melikor, Mekimin, Goldstr, Fahlo, Ceilia, Mayor Leafiara,

Sir Cryheart

Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos asks, "Do you know any lonely stone masons, then?"

Loscar says, "Um...I have questions."

Cryheart asks, "Aye?"

Speaking to Kothos, Guarrin says, "None here, sadly."

Speaking to Guarrin, Evia says, "Maybe Clunk does."

Leafiara muses, "I wonder if Malluch would have even thought of the pardon possibility if I hadn't brought it up, but then when I say it's not helping him, he's upset with me."

Loscar says, "Well, my militia leader left."

Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos says, "Still, let's talk, soon. I'm always curious to see who might be inventive..."

Speaking to Evia, Kothos says, "She does have a Shrine there, too. Zul Logoth."

Cryheart says, "Oh...then I cannae help ye most likely."

Speaking to Evia, Kothos says, "We've hosted some of their Order, and vice versa."

Loscar says, "So I'll just try to repeat it the best I can."

Speaking to Evia, Kothos says, "We sent some of the half-elves who were stricken by the witch's plague there, for a time."

Loscar says, "We approached the prisoner who escaped but the bigger threat was not him."

Speaking to Kothos, Evia asks, "Was there not a violent incident at your temple several years back, some sort of attack by an outside force?"

Speaking to Evia, Faerinn says, "By Chaston."

Lylia says, "I recall it. It was -- yes."

Speaking to Loscar, Leafiara prompts, "And that would be...?"

Speaking to Evia, Kothos says, "The forces of the Prelate broke in and burned Her Sanctum."

Loscar says, "We were going to try to take him in quietly but everyone argued about it."

Speaking to Kothos, Evia says, "Yes, I begin to recall a bit better now."

Speaking to Evia, Kothos says, "I have often wondered if us taking in the stricken as Children of Ivas was why we were targeted."

Speaking to Loscar, Leafiara asks, "I mean who do you think is the greater threat here?"

Faerinn says, "It's likely safe to assume all the Blood Guards are Stone Clones."

Faerinn says, "And Malluch knows this."

Loscar says, "Ourselves at this point."

Faerinn says, "He basically told me."

Loscar says, "We are doing it to ourselves."

Faerinn says, "Before y'all arrived."

Leafiara says, "For those who weren't around two nights ago, we found a bloodguard slain by a log trap accidentally, with slime oozing out similar to Stone's past golems."

Leafiara says, "And a face like Stone's, once his helmet was removed."

Speaking to Thrassus, Kothos says, "Thank you, by the way. See you soon."

Speaking to Guarrin, Faerinn says, "I asked Malluch if he hired the Guard or Stone. Malluch said Stone gave them to him."

Chandrellia softly says, "Right down to the blue eyes."

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "That can't be good."

Cryheart says, "Stone golems..that is frightening."

Leafiara says, "I truly hope that you all aren't going to be escorting golems."

Speaking to Faerinn, Guarrin says, "Interesting. Perhaps that is what the followers are for.."

Leafiara says, "If he decides that the wagons must be closed the whole time and conveniently won't let you see inside, there's your tipoff."

Loscar says, "I don't think he's capable."

Xorus says, "They 'have been entrusted into my care', he said, precisely."

Speaking to Guarrin, Faerinn says, "I then asked if Stone always hired people that looked just like him. And Malluch thought the word hired was hilarious."

Loscar asks, "You know what's in the wagons correct?"

Speaking frankly to Loscar, Leafiara says, "Nope."

Bernadette softly says, "Perish the thought."

Speaking to Guarrin, Faerinn says, "Then I asked if he know what bush I was beating around, and Malluch nodded."

Leafiara says, "There's more than one reason I didn't offer the town guards for this escort."

Roelaren says, "We need our town guards and militia here."

Leafiara says, "I just hope that whatever setup this turns into isn't as bad as I'm thinking."

Xorus says, "Is it plinite? We have not moved plinite yet this year."

Draught says, "Hail."

Loscar says, "Our militia is always here...well sort of."

Roelaren says, "Just in case this is used as a way to get our folks out of town."

Speaking to Guarrin, Faerinn says, "So that about confirms it for me."

Loscar says, "Most of the time...not when it's just me apparently."

Speaking affectionately to Xorus, Lylia says, "Fiend."

Faerinn says, "I don't think we need another to figure out they are Stone Clones now."

Speaking to Roelaren, Leafiara says, "Yes, I intend to be staying behind at very least. Partly because of what I said earlier, to deter Thadston in case he makes a move."

Speaking to Faerinn, Guarrin says, "That's the blood guard, I hope the rest aren't the same."

Mekimin says, "I'll be bringing a report of the conversation to the LDI brass tomorrow."

Bernadette softly asks, "We has some folks gonna stay b'hind and watch the town?"

Evia says, "Oh goodie."

Faerinn says, "I would not try to convince you at all to not cut the one you have open."

Loscar says, "I'm staying."

Roelaren says, "Would be a good thing to have empaths and clerics at the ready as well."

Leafiara says, "I don't know how many will stick behind with me, but I don't want Thadston pursuing the caravan and will try to prevent it."

Faerinn says, "Oh, the magister left."

Speaking softly to Bernadette, Chandrellia says, "I'll be in TSC in case anything breaks out and help heal."

Loscar says, "He's a bomb Leaf."

Chandrellia softly says, "Well, if I am in the lands that night."

Roelaren says, "I will go with the group to help heal there if needed."

Bernadette softly says, "A good thing that."

Speaking wryly to Loscar, Leafiara says, "Well, his prisms sure are, at least."

Wolfloner carefully removes some acantha leaf from one of the smaller compartments inside his leather kit.

Wolfloner carefully removes some acantha leaf from one of the smaller compartments inside his leather kit.

Wolfloner carefully adds some acantha leaf to one of the smaller compartments inside his leather kit.

Wolfloner carefully removes some acantha leaf from one of the smaller compartments inside his leather kit.

Evia says, "Brother Wolfloner is excited about his remedies it seems."

Loscar says, "Brother Wolf is trying to hide the truth."

Faerinn says, "I hope I can be in the operating theatre when Raelee works on that Stone Clone. I did a fantastic job on Narum to at least warrant a reputation at being an asset in such an operation."

Bernadette softly says, "Gonna look fer some mischief, meself."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "You did great."

Speaking to Leafiara, Mekimin asks, "Do you have any specific concerns that the town may be at risk during the Restday operations?"

Speaking musingly to Fahlo, Leafiara says, "Well, I certainly hope so, but history will be the judge."

Mekimin laughs, "Beyond the usual?"

Leafiara says, "My end goal here is keeping Malluch alive, that much is certain."

Leafiara says, "His people... frankly, I don't even fully trust that he *has* people."

Leafiara says, "We've never seen them. People are going purely on his word."

Leafiara says, "Same with his healing powers, other than the wrinkle incidents."

Leafiara says, "I'll admit, the finding of that golem guard was what tipped my hand tonight."

Chandrellia softly asks, "About the pardon?"

Leafiara says, "Yes."

Loscar says, "You've gotta stop chasing Golems with civility."

Leafiara says, "Had we not found that, I would have been more willing to at least entertain the idea that he's sincere in all of this."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "Any idea if the proximity he's trying to keep with them would have anything to do with the nature of 'his people'?"

Loscar asks, "What did you find anyway?"

Leafiara says, "I actually thought he was sincere before then because he never responded to any of my jabs. My provocation attempts all failed..."

Speaking to Fahlo, Leafiara says, "I think that's very plausible."

Speaking softly to Fahlo, Chandrellia exclaims, "Good point!"

Chandrellia softly says, "If he is too far away from then perhaps he has no control over them."

Speaking to Fahlo, Leafiara says, "I'm not as familiar with the Stone golems as some in the Gryphons are, who have lived here longer than me."

Leafiara says, "So they might have phrased their conditions specifically to account for that."

Leafiara says, "I'm hoping that's the case and they're not just being naive."

Fahlo says, "Ah.. hm."

Fahlo says, "I'll have to hit the library."

Leafiara wryly admits, "Because I really preferred how it used to be where others would call *me* naive."

Fahlo says, "Or talk with Guarrin ... though he may be a bit .. ahh."

Leafiara says, "Don't trust the Rooks, they'd say."

Leafiara says, "Don't trust Granthem, they'd say."

Fahlo says, "Guarded about the specifics of his plans."

Leafiara says, "Don't be so nonchalant about Rone."

Loscar asks, "Stop playing chess and play the man?"

Leafiara says, "But somehow, ever since becoming the mayor, I've been the cynic."

Leafiara says, "Wondering why anyone trusts Vlashandra or Malluch."

Leafiara says, "Taking steps back and giving only indirect support to them at best."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "I learned my lesson with Vlashandra."

Leafiara says, "I have to admit, at a time like this I almost wonder if I've changed and am no longer the person everyone elected."

Leafiara says, "Crux even teased it tonight, I've grown up... I... I guess."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "You are hon, but you also know when to put your foot down for the people here."

Leafiara says, "Well... we can think on that more another night."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "Your stance has been and continues to be that you take the opinions of the people you serve into deep consideration."

Leafiara says, "I will say I take solace in the fact that Hapenlok of all people has been urging peace lately."

Speaking softly to Fahlo, Chandrellia says, "Exactly."

Leafiara says, "So maybe we're just in some very upside down times and I haven't actually changed too much."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "You don't act out of self interest, you act out of servitude for the folks of the city."

Speaking reassuringly to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "Haven't changed a bit."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "That has never changed with you, just how you approach things now has changed and I think it's good."

Speaking to Fahlo, Leafiara says, "That much is true. I just hope I don't end up giving up my ideals at any point."

Leafiara says, "You know, it's funny, I actually had started drafting up the pardon letter..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "Ha- yah well.. that much is up to you."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "If you value them as I think you do and I see you do, as it's bothering you now, you don't have to worry much hon."

Loscar says, "I thought you should..."

Leafiara says, "I realized there was a problem when I started writing to ask for a preemptive pardon for Thadston, Mother, or anyone else who decided they might need to assassinate me because of Malluch's pardon."

Leafiara says, "I think.. out of all the people standing at the camps tonight..."

Leafiara says, "I'm ironically the one with some of the least respect for the mayoral office and its powers."

Leafiara says, "I believe in our people."

Leafiara says, "I should answer to you, not the other way around."

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "That is the role of a public servant."

Leafiara says, "I don't think there's an extreme that I wouldn't go to, to prioritize the people."

Chandrellia softly says, "We answer to each other as a town, as a team, you take the brunt of the decision making but you *always* get our opinions."

Loscar says, "I agree with you but I have concerns as to what happens now..."

Fahlo says, "Let's get a drink.. eesh."

Speaking to Loscar, Leafiara says, "It's going to go very poorly."

Speaking softly to Loscar, Chandrellia says, "We wait I suppose."

Loscar says, "When the people change."

Loscar says, "Or rather, show their colors."

Speaking softly to Loscar, Chandrellia says, "Everyone changes it's how we change together that makes a difference."

Fahlo says, "First round's on me."

Loscar asks, "Can't we just play Pennant chase and get along?"
