Albatross Riverboat Excursions were a type of pay event offered aboard the Albatross, a gambling riverboat that would periodically dock in towns and cities such as Wehnimer's Landing and Solhaven. Unlike the times where the Albatross docked in town for several days, the Albatross Riverboat Excursions were a single day pay event that focused on providing merchant services such as GALD and epic deepening. Attendance was limited typically to just 25 attendees per excursion, allowing for a more intimate approach in attaining merchant services. Services were also restricted to three per account per excursion.
Prior to hosting Albatross Riverboat Excursions, the riverboat would periodically dock to offer automated gambling, live GM-hosted gambling games, shopping, and occasional merchant services. When the Albatross docked, it provided these offerings for free, essentially as a free festival.
The last Albatross Riverboat Excursion was held in January, 2015. As of 2025, the Albatross is now permanently docked in Wehnimer's Landing, where it offers automated gambling and limited shopping opportunities. It also occasionally serves as the venue for live GM-hosted gambling games and merchants.
