Fash'lo'nae's Gift (1750) Utility

Fash'lo'nae's Gift allows the caster to PREPARE and CAST their choice of any one spell, given that the chosen spell is commonly found on scrolls in the treasure system. The number of times that the spell can be cast depends on the level of the spell chosen and the success margin of the cast of Fash'lo'nae's Gift.

The maximum spell level that can be prepared is 5 + (success margin/5).

Fash'lo'nae's Gift is available through special releases as well as through the treasure system. This spell has the same rarity as level 19 spells that will generate on scrolls. Gold-framed clear glass lenses also contain the spell and are found in the treasure system.

The castings of a spell obtained through Fash'lo'nae's Gift will work with Spirit Slayer (240), but not with Rapid Fire (515).

Duration

A subsequent spell must be selected within the first 30 to 60 seconds of casting Fash'lo'nae's Gift.

Duration of Fash'lo'nae's Gift itself

The caster can prepare the spell one time, but gains additional opportunities to prepare it for every 25 success margin beyond the minimum required to prepare the spell.

If the caster earns a 100 success margin beyond the minimum required to prepare the selected spell, the caster can prepare the spell as many times as he desires for 10 minutes. This duration is increased by one minute for every 10 more success margin.

For a chart of activation by a capped character with 202 ranks of Arcane Symbols, see Fleur's chart.

Examples

For example, a 120 endroll (success margin = 20) would allow for the preparation of a spell of level 9 or lower once (5 + 20/5 = 9).

Another example, a 210 endroll (success margin = 110) would allow for the preparation of any spell level 25 or lower that is commonly available on scrolls, but the number of times he can cast the spell depends on the spell's level. Choosing a spell of level 7 means the caster can prepare it as many times within 10 minutes as he chooses (110 - 10 = 100). Choosing a spell of 17th level means he can prepare it three times (110 - 60 = 50, 1 + 50/25 = 3).

Duration of subsequently cast spells

Spells cast from knowledge obtained by Fash'lo'nae's Gift calculate their duration using the skill of the same activator as how 1750 was activated.

Examples

Using a scroll to invoke 1750 and then casting Phoen's Strength (606) as the "new" spell will use Arcane Symbols skill rather than Ranger Spell Ranks to determine the duration of the spell as if the cast 606 had come from a scroll.

Spell starting
Your mind's eye drifts to visions of vast, ancient libraries and you sense, with unnatural clarity, that you can clearly discern the arcane texts that once eluded you.
Using a stored spell, limited charges (here, 2)
Countless images of symbols and runes fill your mind as you begin to tap into the untold resources of magical knowledge at your disposal. The workings of the Mobility spell linger in your memory.
Using a stored spell, unlimited charges
Countless images of symbols and runes fill your mind as you begin to tap into the limitless resources of magical knowledge at your disposal. The workings of the Stun Cloud spell are burnt into your memory.
Spell ending, or last charge used
A strange shift in your mind causes a momentary episode of vertigo. When your eyes are able to focus, you distinctly feel the loss of your previous knowledge in the arcane arts.
