by Leafiara Autumnwind of the TownCrier
Summary
- Reports are heard of bodies found at the boatyard, so adventurers investigate to find the corpses of several human males with their throats slit. Archales loresings to reveal a history:
- Figures approach the docks and suddenly dozens of workers cease their work and walk out of sight. Dark hooded figures emerge at the abandoned boatyard, some wearing black beaked masks and two wearing red, and still another wears a featureless mask decorated with blood red sigils. Four humans are thrown to the ground before the one in the sigiled featureless mask, who speaks in a woman's voice, saying the Brotherhood is reborn. She asks for loyalty, presenting a gloved hand with a brilliant red soulstone ring. One of the men kisses the ring, but the other three spit in protest. The figure in the featureless masks says "Mother...is disappointed" and the red-beaked figures slit their throats.
- Afterward, speculation begins. Some, like Shinann, Leafiara, and Bellaja note that Alendrial DeArchon had once been called the Mother of the Rooks, but Shinann does add that she's not a suspect and Leafi says Alendrial wouldn't use the same title again. Others like Zosopage and Darcena think it might be her anyway, with Darcena saying Alendrial was angry about her house being blown up. Archales says it seems to be an internal squabble only for Rooks to be concerned with.
- Xorus says that the Mother's mask sounded like a Rone mask and that her ring sounded similar to Aralyte's soulstone. He wonders if Praxopius had been trying to replicate that necklace to create more powerful gauntlets and Magister Raelee says she would have were she him.

Bodies at the Boatyard
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a mistwood serving cart with some stuff on it, some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.
Flakes of glistening snow descend from the sky.
Some town militiamen run hurriedly by.
Cryheart says, "Militia."
"...someone alert the guard or militia...old Otis' boys said there were some bodies at the boatyard...just when business was good..."
[Sir Cryheart leads on to find...]
[Wehnimer's, Locksmehr Way]
The massive gate of the Landing's boatyard dominates this stretch of road. Through it can be seen boats in various states of repair, tied up at wooden docks or beached along the riverbank. Just offshore lies a coastal sailer half-sunken in the river's shallows, and silhouetted against the dark horizon just to the northeast is the span of a sturdy bridge. You also see some bloodied corpses.
>look cor
The corpses appear to all be human males, with their throats cleanly cut from ear to ear and their chests and abdomens soaked in fresh blood.
Cryheart says, "Human males."
Cryheart says, "Throats slit."
Xorus says, "The old double smile."
(Pukk nudges the corpse with his boot.)
Pukk quietly says, "Yep, dead."
Leafiara curiously asks, "So, uh... vigilante problems not quite over?"
Pukk quietly exclaims, "I solved this case!"
Gryzzlbok says, "They dead alright."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "Next!"
Cryheart asks, "We hae a bard about?"
[The answer is no, at the time.]
Speaking to Leafiara, Shinann asks, "Why would you think that?"
Gryzzlbok says, "Luxelle was around."
Speaking quietly to Cryheart, Pukk asks, "I'm not a bard, but I did kiss one once...does that count?"
Speaking patiently to Shinann, Leafiara says, "It's pretty similar to Malluch's work."
Lylia snaps, "If you would all be silent a moment instead of making coarse jokes..."
Speaking quietly to Lylia, Pukk says, "Not coarse jokes...corpse jokes."
A Wehnimer's runner just arrived on her way to deliver a message.
Shinann asks, "Is there a bard here?"
Chamorr heartily says, "Dead ditties."
Speaking quietly to a Wehnimer's runner, Pukk exclaims, "Run, they are after you too!"
Zosopage says, "Pile of em slit ear to ear. The question is how many assailants were there."
Speaking calmly to Shinann, Darcena says, "Captain."
Cryheart says, "I see nothing beyond the gate."
Cryheart glances at the boatyard gate.
Lyrna quietly asks, "Anything?"
Shinann: "Is there a bard available to come to the boatyard?"
Felita says, "It be open."
Shinann says, "I am trying to find a bard."
Speaking quietly to Chaoswynd, Pukk says, "Where is your better half? Stormy? Maybe she could sing to em."
Cryheart: "Corpses by the gate in Shanty Town close to boatyard."
Kupaka asks, "What killed them?"
Warchief Archales just arrived.
Speaking quietly to Shinann, Lylia says, "And make preparations for the dead to be taken when the bard is done with them. They are far too used to such tasks."
Leafiara reports, "Sent word to Miss Luxie, though I don't know if she can make it."
Zosopage says, "Not one clue as to what happened."
Cryheart says, "We asking if a bard can determine a clue."
Speaking in Sylvankind to Pukk, Chaoswynd says, "She's unavailable at the moment, unfortunately."
Speaking to Cryheart, Bellaja asks, "Why is someone killing humans?"
Lyrna says, "Their throats are slit from ear to ear and piled here, it would appear."
Speaking approvingly to Archales, Leafiara says, "You'll do."
Zosopage says, "Until a bard can sing to em."
Cryheart says, "Good question."
Kupaka asks, "Only humans?"
Speaking quietly to Chaoswynd, Pukk says, "Couldn't understand you."
Cryheart says, "Seems so."
Zosopage says, "Until a bard can sing to em."
Speaking to Archales, Shinann asks, "Could you see if they can speak to you?"
Shinann says, "Umm."
Speaking to Pukk, Chaoswynd says, "Apologies. I said she was unavailable at the moment."
Shinann says, "Please."
Archales sings something with a rich baritone in Guildspeak to some bloodied corpses that you don't understand.
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Warclaidh says, "It was Kupaka, in the boatyard, with a knife."
Speaking to Lauranathalasa, Kupaka says, "What? You're safe too."
Speaking to Archales, Bellaja says, "Sing about their slaughter, perhaps."
Kupaka says, "Lies, all lies."
Speaking to Kupaka, Leafiara acknowledges, "I've seen you in combat and you're not the 'knife' type."
Archales sings with a rich baritone to some bloodied corpses:
"Bloody corpses all lined up with throat in slits
Want to share your final moments in little bits?"
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Lauranathalasa says, "Kupaka is my new protege."
Roblar deeply says, "He was lounging at Thrak's."
Warclaidh says, "Says the guy with a blood spattered warblade."
Roblar deeply says, "Loafing abouts."
Kupaka says, "I'm more about poking holes in things."
Lyrna says, "We don't know exactly when this occured."
Shinann says, "Blood is fresh."
Cryheart asks, "Anything revealed yet Archales?"
Speaking quietly to Archales, Pukk says, "If they start talking, run."
Archales says, "Nothing so far."
Archales asks, "Were these bodies searched?"
Cryheart says, "Nae yet."
Speaking to Archales, Bellaja says, "Around here? I can't imagine they weren't robbed the moment they fell."
Lylia replies, "They have been left untouched for now."
Cryheart says, "Nothing under them it seems."
Gryzzlbok says, "Or behind."
Shinann says, "Did not want to touch them before they were sung to."
Lyrna says, "I will look in the immediate area and see if there is anything close by."
Lyrna just went south.
Lyrna just arrived.
Lyrna just went north.
Lyrna just arrived.
Pukk pours his flask on the corpses.
Lyrna just went through the boatyard gate.
Pukk shakes his head.
Pukk quietly says, "Didn't work."
Pukk put a white flask in his spidersilk cloak.
Lyrna just came through the boatyard gate.
Lyrna says, "Nothing obvious nearby."
Archales sings with a rich baritone to some bloodied corpses:
"I see all males, each once proud in his own way
Show us all what calamity must have marred their final day"
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Archales blinks, staring off into the distance.
Zosopage says, "Hrmm. I could swear I heard boatyard but I checked there and nothing."
Archales gives a short little hum of surprise.
The arctic wolf stands up.
The arctic wolf pads around the area.
Darcena angrily says, "They're bloody fresh, they are."
Speaking to Lyrna, Shinann says, "Thank you for looking."
Speaking quietly to an arctic wolf, Pukk says, "Don't eat the bodies."
Balley softly says, "They are male."
The Mother and the Brotherhood
Archales recites:
"Moonlight gleams along the water leading up to the boartyard docks, a large gate rising up nearby against the backdrop of night. Dozens of sailors and workers turn their heads at some approaching figures, and as if on silent cue, they suspend their work and walk out of sight."
Wilsa says, "They will be ice blocks soon enough."
Speaking to herself, Darcena mutters, "Not soon enough."
Shinann asks, "So, I wonder if the workers went willingly or under some sort of spell?"
Chamorr heartily says, "Seems da workers knows who done it."
Archales sings with a rich baritone to some bloodied corpses:
"Who can know the hour who can know the time?
It seems the dock crews knew exactly whose business to mind"
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Archales blinks, staring off into the distance.
Archales rubs his eyes.
Lilitigress says, "Hmm..."
Gryzzlbok asks, "What about this Otis fella?"
Archales says, "I shoulda brought more whiskey."
Lilitigress asks, "What does the song say?"
Archales recites:
"Some dark hooded figures emerge from the shadows of the now abandoned boatyard, the cowls of their hoods casting a long shadow across the beaks of their masks, some of them black, two of them red. Standing amidst the beaked figures appears another in a deep hooded robe wearing a black featureless mask decorated with blood red sigils."
Cryheart says, "Hmmm."
Zosopage says, "Hrmm."
Cryheart says, "Rooks."
Lilitigress asks, "Beaked figures?"
Roblar deeply says, "Rooks."
Zosopage says, "Rooks or at least want to look like rooks."
Cryheart asks, "Blood red sigils?"
Shinann says, "Something is different... that masked one."
Leafiara notes, "Black... hasn't red been their color before?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "They wore cowled black robes."
Pukk quietly asks, "Maybe it is a new group taking over?"
Cryheart says, "Or a new leader of the Rooks."
Cryheart says, "Perhaps."
Speaking wryly to Shinann, Leafiara says, "Well, on the bright side, my thought that it might be strays from that group that turned Crux into stone seems to have been wrong."
Archales sings with a rich baritone to some bloodied corpses:
"For every sin there is a price, for friendship, protection even advice
If that's any guide then it seems this bunch was up to nothing nice"
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Archales blinks, staring off into the distance.
Zosopage says, "They did need a new leader."
Cryheart says, "Aye."
(Rhayveign scrambles up Madmountan's back and settles quietly on his shoulder. She leans over and whispers loudly, "Someone made a mess!")
Cryheart says, "Indeed."
Cryheart nods at Rhayveign.
Archales recites:
"Four humans are dragged out of the shadows by hooded figures, and thrown to the ground before the featureless one. A woman's voice passes from behind the mask, "The Brotherhood is reborn, and there is only room for the loyal. What will you be?". The featureless one steps forward, presenting a slender gloved hand with a brilliant red soulstone ring."
Lauranathalasa asks, "Brotherhood?"
Cryheart says, "A woman."
Khobra notes, "Female."
Zosopage says, "Female with red sigils."
Speaking perplexedly to Lauranathalasa, Leafiara replies, "The Rooks."
Bernadette softly says, "Ahh could be."
Speaking to Maylan, Gryzzlbok exclaims, "Argh!"
Leafiara says, "But..."
Zosopage says, "Now that sounds familiar."
Pukk quietly asks, "Brotherhood with a woman....wouldn't that be sisterhood?"
Speaking to Gryzzlbok, Maylan says, "Agree YARRRRRRRRRRR."
Cryheart asks, "Apparently she is the new leader?"
Archales sings with a rich baritone to some bloodied corpses:
"All living things are precious this is true
But if you can't be loyal, then no more air for you"
The bloodied corpses seems to respond to the magic of Archales's song.
Archales blinks, staring off into the distance.
Shinann says, "Sounds like it."
Leafiara says, "Apparently they need to replace their leader again already, then."
Lyrna says, "The common language still favors the male, even with a mix."
Speaking to Pukk, Madmountan says, "It's MA'AM."
Wilsa says, "With a mask, one can be whomever they wish to be. Male, female, neither or both."
Lylia dryly notes, "'Brotherhood,' like 'Patriarchy,' is a term of convenience. There have been Matriarchs as well as Patriarchs, yet the terminology remains. Do not get distracted from the matter at hand."
Archales recites:
"One man kneels quickly, kissing the soulstone ring and rises to his feet. The other three spit in protest, and the featureless one shakes her head, "Mother...is disappointed." With that, the red-beaked figures move forward with fluid motions and leave clean cuts along the men's throat, who fall into their own blood as the boatyard soon becomes abandoned once more."
Speculation
Cryheart says, "Well..she requires fealty...a strong one indeed."
Speaking grumpily to Cryheart, Leafiara says, "Yeah, that's one way of putting it."
Speaking to Cryheart, Bellaja says, "Yes, one has to respect that."
Overdue, some uniformed Militia arrive and carefully carry off the bodies.
Shinann asks, "Mother?"
Roblar flippantly says, "Dat's what you gets for not eatin yer peas."
Balley softly says, "Interesting."
Cryheart says, "Indeed."
Speaking quietly to Cryheart, Pukk says, "I think those militia were out drinking."
Shinann says, "I have heard that before with the Rooks."
Cryheart says, "Seems we hae another problem on our hands citizens."
Speaking to Lylia, Archales asks, "Will there be anything else this evening Mayor?"
Zosopage says, "And non citizens."
Cryheart says, "Thanks ye Archales, well done."
Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara offhandedly says, "Yes... a certain member of the council."
Speaking to Archales, Lylia says, "No, but thank you for your songs."
Speaking quietly to Archales, Pukk says, "Yes you did well. You should think about becoming a bard."
Lylia quietly says, "I know it is not the most pleasant of tasks."
Someone from behind Cryheart, tries to imitate his voice, and says, "...another problem? or a mother problem?" He chuckles and runs off.
Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara says, "Alendrial..."
Leafiara quickly adds, "But that was the past."
Cryheart yells, "Catch that fool!"
(Pukk glances backward at the joke.)
Pukk quietly exclaims, "Hey that's my line!"
Shinann says, "Of course that is the first that comes to my mind... however..."
Madmountan says, "That was probably Pukk throwing his voi...oh, he agrees."
Lylia says, "I would prefer not to try Alendrial in the court of public opinion, where she has been hauled quite often enough."
Shinann says, "I agree."
In a perfect imitation of Cryheart, Soneiken says, "Another problem? or a mother problem?"."
Archales says, "This seems an internal squabble."
Leafiara frankly says, "If it were her, she wouldn't use the same title again, in any case."
Leafiara explains, "That would be too obvious."
Shinann says, "Just because they used that word means nothing."
Archales says, "No reason for those who aren't not Rooks to be concerned."
Shinann says, "Those poor men."
Leafiara confusedly repeats, "Aren't not Rooks... ...right."
Maylan says, "I would prefer a kangaroo court. Then it would be more fun."
Lylia says, "Indeed. I was just noting that the 'Mother' archetype is a powerful one for those who wish to instill loyalty."
Cryheart says, "Mother problem is appropriate considering the leader is female it seems."
Balley softly asks, "Let's see what we know.. A female who likes red.. Any ideas?"
Maylan says, "Lotsa bouncing and whatnot."
Roblar deeply says, "Only one thing to do..."
Speaking to Archales, Soneiken says, "It appears to me she was conscripting, so maybe's big problem for the citizens."
Pukk quietly says, "I knew it, women. They are always trouble."
Speaking to Balley, Gryzzlbok says, "All woman."
Speaking to Roblar, Madmountan asks, "Find an excuse to make even more bodies?"
Roblar deeply says, "Time to collapse all da tunnels and places where rats such az Rooks can hides."
Lylia coldly says, "They can be, if you provoke them."
Bernadette softly asks, "Is she the new leader?"
Cryheart says, "Careful."
Roblar deeply says, "Raid all da docks and taverns."
Balley softly asks, "Has there been anyone who has called herself Mother in the past?"
Speaking to Roblar, Maylan exclaims, "Oh, ho! Count me in for raiding!"
Speaking to Bernadette, Bellaja says, "She actually lead a group of them before."
Speaking thoughtfully to Roblar, Khobra inquires, "Tunnelz?"
Speaking to Roblar, Lylia says, "Thadston tried that at one time, corralling them here and there in their nests."
Cryheart says, "Hmm..nae to my knowledge."
Speaking to Balley, Leafiara replies, "Yes, but it's probably not her or else everyone would know it's her again this time."
Roblar deeply says, "Rooks love ems."
Roblar deeply says, "Like rats."
Pukk quietly says, "Zoso calls Balley mother sometimes."
Leafiara thoughtfully says, "At least it's not Stephos."
Speaking to Leafiara, Darcena says, "That's too complicated. It's clearly her."
Cryheart says, "Feel free to punch him."
Speaking to Balley, Bellaja says, "Alendrial DeArchon was called the mother."
Zosopage says, "Unless she doesn't want to be known hence the mask."
Cryheart asks, "She was?"
Balley softly says, "Thank you Bellaja I thought so."
Zosopage says, "But could still be the same person."
Archales asks, "Who called her that?"
Cryheart says, "Well..that is logical."
Darcena says, "And she's very angry that her house got blown up."
Cryheart says, "True."
Speaking to Archales, Bellaja says, "The Rooks."
Speaking loudly to Leafiara, Darcena whispers aloud, "That was her, right?" [Later when Leafi answers this, she missed the context of Darcena talking about Alendrial's house getting blown up. That was indeed her.]
Speaking to Zosopage, Leafiara explains, "If she didn't want to be known, but was actually Alendrial, she wouldn't have the other Rooks calling her Mother again."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "That's right!"
Leafiara stares at Darcena.
Pukk quietly exclaims, "Let's string her up!"
Lyrna says, "Unless she was trying to mislead people."
Speaking lightly to Leafiara, Darcena growls, "Don't look at me like that."
Shinann says, "However, let me make it clear that she is not a suspect at this point."
Cryheart says, "Justice, nae vigilantism."
Lylia asks, "That is insufficient. 'Clearly her' is not at all the case. Nothing about what Archales saw suggests Alendrial except the use of the word 'mother' -- and I presume all of you had one of those, yes, even if you are fatherless?"
Speaking to Pukk, Shinann says, "No."
Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "Perhaps, perhaps not."
Speaking to Leafiara, Darcena says, "I bet they're coming for you next."
Speaking frankly to Darcena, Leafiara says, "I won't stop them. I never have."
Speaking to Lylia, Bellaja says, "Insufficient evidence has never held any sway in this town before."
Shinann says, "The mayor and I seem to be on the same page here."
Lylia says, "And we know this was a woman. Well, that narrows the population down by half."
Pukk pleadingly asks, "Can we question her roughly at least?"
Speaking thoughtfully to Lylia, Darcena says, "I don't have a mother. That I know of."
Balley softly says, "It will be interesting to see how things play out and who this Woman turns out to be."
Lylia says, "Everyone had one, even if he or she does not remember her."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "I vote we send Warclaidh to question her!"
Bellaja adds, "She was arrested by Thadston I believe."
Shinann says, "She was."
Archales says, "I do remember that."
Warclaidh says, "I love suicide."
Shinann says, "That was long ago."
Speaking offhandedly to Darcena, Leafiara whispers aloud, "And the answer is no, by the way, I don't think so. I think it's a framing job..."
Zosopage says, "She could be back for revenge after all this time."
Pukk quietly says, "Couldn't be a framing job, they would need a witness for that."
Lyrna says, "It could also be a new player."
Speaking to Balley, Maylan asks, "I arrived late. WHere does the red come in?"
Bellaja says, "Or it could be the title they use for any of their female leaders."
Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "We're right here and they didn't hide the bodies."
Speaking to Balley, Maylan asks, "A lady who likes red, or wears red?"
Archales says, "Someone had to take control in the wake of Rysus' untimely demise."
Darcena disappointedly growls, "All I know is that they looked really tasty and I'm still hungry."
Balley softly says, "The color."
Cryheart says, "Hmmm."
Speaking casually to Darcena, Leafiara says, "Lots of bandits out there in the wilderness, I'm sure..."
Speaking to Balley, Maylan asks, "Yes, but what about the color?"
Cryheart says, "Another thought....red sigils...red summoner....Raznel linked to Stone."
Chamorr heartily says, "How bout the ring? and them sigils, anyone notice them afore."
Speaking quietly to Darcena, Pukk whispers aloud, "Next time nibble first, ask forgiveness later."
Balley softly says, "The color could mean something, or nothing."
Archales says, "I don't think Alendrial garners that level of ill will from the remaining Rooks."
Cryheart says, "Or the Arcane Eye."
Cytiger asks, "Blood? Hate?"
Archales says, "I suspect an outsider."
Speaking to Chamorr, Bellaja says, "I didn't see the ring, I just heard it was soulstone."
Speaking curiously to Cryheart, Khobra inquires, "Arcane Eye?"
Cryheart says, "A powerful group of mages."
Speaking quietly to Cryheart, Pukk exclaims, "I think Raelee did it!"
Balley softly says, "I was thinking someone who is strong and deadly."
Speaking to Balley, Darcena asks, "Have you seen anything lately?"
Speaking to Pukk, Raelee says, "If I did it, I would have disposed of them far more cleanly."
Xorus says, "The mask of the 'mother' sounded like a Rone mask, and the ring sounded remarkably similar to the soulstone of Aralyte's necklace."
Darcena abruptly asks, "Where is Stormyrain?"
Balley softly says, "I have a few weeks ago."
Cryheart says, "The Magister is on the side of Imperial trust."
Speaking quietly to Raelee, Pukk exclaims, "Not if you were trying to frame somebody else!"
Speaking to Raelee, Chaoswynd says, "If you had done it, you wouldn't have wasted time with such heavy handed tactics."
Shinann says, "I am sorry but three men died tonight so I am not feeling lighthearted or amused."
Archales says, "I'm going to keep my guess as to which outside group it is to myself for now."
Lylia says, "Anyone who commands the Rooks, or even a significant portion of them, is potentially deadly."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Raelee says, "There would be more efficient methods, yes."
Balley softly says, "I saw a dark mansion on a rocky hill. Surrounded by a massive fire."
Speaking quietly to Cryheart, Pukk whispers aloud, "They are covering for each other."
Lyrna says, "It is difficult to know without more information."
Cytiger asks, "Maybe we ought to look around some more?"
Cryheart says, "Aye...an investigation is required."
Balley softly says, "Darkness, power and strength is going to be regained, and something is coming."
Lyrna says, "I did search the surrounding area."
Balley softly says, "That was a few weeks ago."
Pukk quietly says, "Well it is dark."
Balley softly says, "Nothing much since."
Cryheart says, "Well...the message we received was centered in this area."
Shinann says, "Maybe I can question some of the workers."
Speaking to Pukk, Raelee says, "Furthermore, framing another for a crime is an entirely inefficient and unreliable method of disposing of an enemy. The only practical usage might be if the goal was to destroy their reputation but otherwise leave them unharmed."
Lyrna says, "Including the full docks, and there was nothing of any interest that I could find."
Lylia says, "Please do."
Speaking to Shinann, Darcena says, "I'm always willing to put the fear into them."
Lyrna says, "No, dockyard..."
Leafiara reasons, "If they left the bodies here, I'd take this as sending a message... and if that's it, we won't find anything more unless they want us to."
Lyrna says, "Not the docks themselves."
Speaking to Shinann, Bellaja says, "Some common sense would be appropriate."
Chamorr heartily says, "Boathouse."
Speaking quietly to Raelee, Pukk says, "I hate it when you cheat and use logic and all that other stuff."
Warclaidh says, "If we sacrifice Pukk to Ghezresh, he will possibly reveal the Rook's headquarters."
Shinann says, "No, but you may question them if you like."
Shinann nods at Darcena.
Maylan asks, "I thought we were raiding taverns?"
Shinann says, "I will join you."
Darcena surprisedly asks, "Really?"
Speaking to Pukk, Raelee says, "Do grow accustomed to it."
Maylan asks, "When does the raiding begin?"
Shinann says, "No raiding."
Lylia says, "This is not unexpected, not really. With the influx of wealth to the ship-yards, someone was bound to attempt to claim a larger portion of it. It is the nature of silvers to attract such attention."
Speaking to Maylan, Shinann says, "Not tonight, anyway."
Speaking to Shinann, Maylan pleads, "Just a little?"
Speaking to Lylia, Xorus says, "I wonder if Praxopius was working on replicating that necklace for more powerful enruned gauntlets."
Speaking to Lylia, Darcena asks, "Do you really think it is that simple?"
Speaking to Xorus, Raelee says, "I would, were I him."
Archales says, "If you bring in Taamzyr silvers, you get all the graft that comes with it."
Bellaja says, "And it's a lot."
Speaking quietly to Archales, Pukk says, "Imps."
Zosopage says, "Let's not overthink this and give ourselves a headache."
Cryheart asks, "Well...shall we head back to outside of Moot Hall?"
Cryheart says, "Moving."
Lylia says, "Yes. I was going that way at any rate."
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a pretty flower girl, a bone-framed bulletin board, a large purple wooden barrel and a giant mound of snow.
Cryheart says, "Seems more to discover to come."
Shinann says, "Yes."
Cryheart says, "Rest well all."
