(Kayse purposefully makes her way through the crowd. She casts an appraising glance over the audience as she reaches the front of the room.)

You drop your black wooden easel on the floor.

Anxious to begin painting, you unfold each of the three wooden legs that lay flat against the back of the black wooden easel. For extra support, you lower a bracing bar and lock it into place between the two front legs.

(Kayse pulls a stack of large cream vellum cards from her carryall and places them on the black wooden easel. The front card is blank.)
.
You pleasantly greet, "Fair evening. I'd like to thank everyone for attending the first of many lectures and events on behalf of the Darkstone Bay Consortium."
.
You fold your wings across your back.

You smoothly state, "I know Amos would be pleased to see all of you in attendance."

Kothos says, "Good to see everyone- forgive my brevity, I don't wish to hold up Kayse."

Kothos turns to face you.

You nod once at Kothos.

Kothos smiles at you.

Kayse smiles charmingly as she makes eye contact around the tent.

You appreciatively say, "I would also like to thank Beacon Hall Archive for sponsoring the event this evening and supplying the tent and refreshments."

You affably introduce, "For those not aware of who I am, I am Kayse Thaellian. Negotiator of the Black Hand Trading Company."

Tikba glances between a lacquered black wooden easel and yourself.

Inclining your head, you lift your right hand in greeting, the motion drawing attention to the helical zydris branchlets on your right index finger.

You disclose, "Recently our partnership with the consortium was announced publicly. But I am also one of Amos' fireflies and assist the mission of the consortium in whatever duties that are needed."

Drektor folds his hands behind his back.

You incline your head.

You imply, "The Darkstone Bay Consortium was created when local merchants were concerned about possible political ties at the time to the Rooks."

You clarify, "The Brotherhood of The Rooks."

You respectfully say, "Of course, with Amos at the helm, he rallied these merchants and formed the consortium."

You simply share, "The overall mission is to bring promise and prosperity to Wehnimer's and allow for opportunities for all to obtain wealth."

(Kayse rests a hand on the black wooden easel as she speaks, her lips forming a broad smile.)

You comment, "The main voting members are Larsya, Walward, Dakris, Larton, and Amos. Other local merchants have also joined since the creation of the organization."

Khazaann turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

You thoughtfully offer, "Since the Darkstone Bay Consortium is new to the town of Wehnimer's, we thought it would be important to engage the community with education and outreach."

You thoughtfully tap a finger against your lips.

You pensively say, "Due to the nature of the group, it seems only fitting that some of these talks are centralized around business and trade."

You idly flick your oval niveous-veined sparkling champagne wings for a few moments and sleekly rest them against your back.

Cryheart says, "Logical."

Cryheart nods to you.

You inform, "Once the headquarters for the Darkstone Bay Consortium are completed we will be able to gather there for future events and meetings."

You wink at Cryheart.

Cryheart smiles.

You add, "It will be a grand space."

(Kayse takes a few steps forward, her gaze roaming around the room as she laces her hands together in front of her.)

Lylia smiles at you.

You mention, "At the moment, we will have lectures or events monthly, but if anyone would like to arrange something, please contact me and we can discuss further."

You remark, "After I dive into our subject matter for the day, I will open up the floor for questions, concerns, and feedback regarding the consortium."

Vaeldrys turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

You slowly scan your eyes over the area, making sure to take note of every detail of your surroundings. Your impassive expression hiding the deep note of curiosity inside.

Kiyna smirks at you!

You wryly murmur, "Despite living in a "rowdy" frontier town, I would appreciate it if we could keep the brick throwing to a minimum. We aren't animals."

You smirk.

Meliyara grins at you wryly.

Vaemyr starts chuckling at you!

Fyg gives a sidelong glance at you.

(Kayse flips over one of the cards on the black wooden easel revealing a vividly-inked map of Wehnimer's Landing and its surrounding areas painted in watercolor.)

Drektor glances suspiciously around the room.

You begin, "Wehnimer's Landing has always been known as a small trade town." Kayse studies the map on the easel a moment and points out landmarks as she speaks, "Its centralized location allows access to trade routes by the Locksmehr River, mountain passes, and Darkstone Bay."

Puptilian removes a small crimson glass orb from in his leather gem pouch.

Puptilian glances at a small crimson glass orb in his hand.

Puptilian mutters, "Not today then."

You glance suspiciously at Puptilian.

Lylia gazes in amusement at Puptilian.

You brightly note, "In fact, the symbol of the city is a striped warcat. Which represents the trade and textile business that allowed the city to thrive and grow when it attracted the original residents."

Puptilian whistles tunelessly to himself.

Speaking to you, Puptilian says, "I kid."

(Kayse turns her attention back towards the map, a pensive expression painting her features.)

You didactically say, "Due to natural resources found within the area, there is a rich magnitude of opportunity that exists. Exports range from mining in the Dragonspine Mountains to lumber from the Upper Trollfang."

Bakarus glances at you.

You diligently add, "But it's worth mentioning that two significant factors occurred in the last part of the fifty-first century that impacted trade, both exports and imports."

Maevie turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

(Kayse moves to stand in front of the black wooden easel changing out the first map and replacing it with a hand painted topography map of the region of Wehnimer's Landing and Vornavis.)

Meliyara looks thoughtfully at you.

You express, "First, in 5096, the Baron of Jantalar, Hochstib, established a blockade on the free port of Solhaven."

You gaze with interest at a lacquered black wooden easel.

You idly say, "This resulted in the redirection of the Glaesen Star and since then, the ship has made Wehnimer's Landing its destination port."

Vaemyr nods slowly to you.

You quote, "The second event occurred as a reaction to the blockade. The Baron of Vornavis, Dunrith Malwind, sought to replace the lost sea trade by construction of a caravansary road to Wehnimer's Landing."

(Kayse points out the caravansary road, her fingertip tracing the route of a brown line on the map.)

You emphasize, "This road was completed in 5098 and facilitated a large amount of traffic between the port and the trading post."

Guarrin nods approvingly.

You theorize, "It may have also encouraged Malwind's support of the town's independence while it was beset by Jantalar in 5103."

Missoni smiles.

Teveriel nods slightly.

You absently chew on one side of your lip as you mull things over.

You reason, "We could be here all evening talking history, so I would like to just stick to a brief overview of what Wehimer's exports for this evening."

You divulge, "We will be deep diving into specific topics as these events continue."

You lean against a lacquered black wooden easel.

You continue, "Based on my research I would conclude that mining, lumber, and furs are amongst the most profitable and larger representation of the industry within Wehnimer's."

(Kayse glances at the black wooden easel as she studies it, her hands rolling up one of her sleeves as she casually says, "Of course, this doesn't limit the goods we may export out within neighboring towns or specifically the Empire.")
Bakarus nods in agreement.

Kayse smiles slightly as she flips over another card revealing a brightly hued watercolor map of the Turamzzyrian Empire but focused on the Northern territories.

You authoritatively explain, "All five of the Northern Provinces: Vornavis, Jantalar, Mestanir, and North and South Hendor, receive imports of mining of some sort from us."
(Kayse guides her hand along the borders of North and South Hendor as she says, "Specialty gems are sent to both North and South Hendor, with North Hendor crafting some of the most expensive and finest jewelry within the Empire.")

Perigourd looks thoughtfully at you.

(Kayse's eyes travel North on the vellum card, her finger circles Jantalar and then slides over to Vornavis.)

You neutrally say, "Coal and iron are plentiful within the caves and surrounding areas of the frontier and are sent to Vornavis and Jantalar."

You slowly say, "Along with some more common ores like bronze, imflass, kelyn, mithril, ora, steel, and vultite," Kayse raps a finger against a mountainous region on the map. "...Being sent to Mestanir."

Kayse smiles mischievously, the upper corner of her lips almost turning into a grin as she changes the next card. A gemstone painted in a rich dark cerulean that blends into a gradient of a lighter shade of blue sits center on the vellum.

(Kiyna stares at the map and yawns silently.)

You settle your gaze on Kiyna, watching her intently.

You vaguely note, "And of course soon, the addition of baystone to that list. Which promises to provide more revenue to the town. With plans to export it extending far over the Dragonspine and beyond."

Kothos smiles quietly to himself.

Meril nods thoughtfully.

Uniana glances skeptically at you.
.
Lylia appears to be trying hard not to grin.

(Kayse nudges Kiyna with the toe of her boot.)

(Kayse pauses a moment to collect her thoughts taking a few steps away from the black wooden easel as she crosses the room to transition to a new topic.)

You lecture, "For those not aware, the direct area surrounding Wehnimer's is known as a temperate climate--specifically a maritime climate due to westerly winds on the western edge of the continent."
Kiyna blinks.

You elaborate, "This means there's enough change to see our seasons, but we have rather mild winters and summers where the temperatures aren't too extreme."

Curling her hand into a fist, Dalinsia pounds the palm-side against her opposite shoulder and offers a curt greeting.

You nod once at Dalinsia.

Kiyna grins sheepishly at you.

You lightly say, "This allows for an abundance of trees, fungus, flora and plantlife to grow here."

Guarrin nods in greeting at Dalinsia.

You measuredly say, "It should come as no surprise that lumber is a main export, especially with how abundant our region is with forests."

Cryheart nods to you.

You consider, "Jantalar is known for having some of the most impressive and skillful woodworkers within the Empire. With furniture and decorative wooden items being in high demand."

You observe, "Although they have plenty of forests, many Jantalarian craftsmen choose to import non-indigenous woods from Wehnimer's to allow variety in their pieces."

(Kayse swiftly moves back over to the black wooden easel, exchanging out the front vellum card for a new one. Various trees are painted in rich earthy tones along the surface, each labeled with their names.)

You stress, "The White and Shingle Monir, Fel, Pinewood, Sycamore, Black Willow and Elanthia Ironwood are examples of specialty trees we harvest for lumber, crafts, and other goods for export."

(Kayse cants her head at the black wooden easel examining the trees. She taps a twisted dark trunk with silver-hued black leaves.)

You absently say, "Witchwood is another tree that only grows within the surroundings of this area. It is known for its magical properties and usually used to produce wands or staves."

(Kayse grabs the front card and slides it in back of the stack. The new surface is painted with brightly colored flowers and herbs.)
Blades glances at Drektor.

You briefly say, "Trees aren't the only plants that are used in trade."

You mildly say, "Medicinal herbs are also a good. Some grow elsewhere, but every one you can find at your local herbalist grows in this region. Which makes us a hub for supply."

Blades ponders.

Staring into space, you pause to mull over multiple possibilities and potential nuances.

You prompt, "With a variety of terrain, farmland to grow produce and raise various livestock in areas like the Graendlor Pasture assist in creating a more lucrative trading business in meat and produce."

(Kayse shuffles through the cards to find the brightly hued watercolor map of the Northern Provinces of the Turamzzyrian Empire again.)

You nonchalantly say, "Which brings us to our last huge export of skins and furs. With mountain ranges and forests, our wilds are home to many creatures."

(Kayse gestures around Vornavis, Jantalar and Mestanir with her hand as she says, "All three receive fur exports from our town. With skins, hides and furs being used in cobbling, decoration, clothing and more.")

You muse, "It is also worth mentioning that due to our location to the elven village, elven craftsmanship with items like armor, clothing, and even wooden furniture for shops and homes is a small export revenue."

Teveriel looks lost in thought.

Dalinsia nods slightly.

You proudly say, "Wehnimer's embraces its natural resources as well. A fine example of this is the cobbling shop on South Ring Rd. The shop boasts ornaments, supplies and hides all local to the area."

Q & A

You conclude, "At this time, I will open the floor to questions, concerns, suggestions or feedback about the consortium. I will be taking notes to bring to Amos and other members."

Pookia's eyes glaze over as she stares, unfocused, into the distance.

Lylia

Lylia raises her hand.

You remove a thin cloth-bound notebook from in your bistre leather carryall.

You remove a vibrant peacock feather quill from in your cloth-bound notebook.

Blades asks, "Keep flippin that easel. Ya paint Drektor with a glass of chocolate milk?"

Blades glances at Drektor.

Blades snickers.

You smirk at Blades.

Drektor folds his hands behind his back.

Lylia says, "You remarked on the Elven village not far from here; it was the subject of much consternation a few months ago when --"

Cryheart nods at Lylia.

You glance between Xorus and Lylia.

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Lylia!

Xylador folds his hands behind his back.

Xorus examines his fingernails.

Uniana nods faintly.

Xylador casually glances at Lylia.

Lylia continues, "When Ta'Vaalor intended to build an outpost there."

You curiously ask, "Was this when I was traveling?"

You simply say, "Ah, yes, it was."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Cryheart nods at Lylia.

Lylia says, "I believe it may have been, yes. But a larger Vaalorian presence would certainly transform certain trade streams into rivers, at least potentially."

Lylia asks, "I was wondering if Amos had heard any further word on such developments?"

Vaemyr rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Lylia says, "Or at least, any word that he has shared."

Lylia chuckles.

Speaking to Lylia, you agree, "It has been discussed with Amos, once the trade routes East open we will hopefully be moving baystone in that direction. As well as other goods."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Puptilian raises his hand.

Lylia leans softly against Xorus.

Guarrin raises his hand.

You say, "That is all I can share on that at the moment though. As to when? The port has to open first..."

You chuckle.

You point at Puptilian.

Lylia nods appreciatively to you.

Vaemyr says, "I can confirm that some of my travels and work with the consortium have been about more open trade with the Elven Nations, but I haven't heard anything specific about the outpost itself."

Puptilian

Speaking to you, Puptilian says, "I mentioned this years ago and got little traction but seems a good point to try to start it again. We have a good place or three to collect spidersilk. Not many this part of the world does. I think we could really export and gain a strong market with it."

Puptilian says, "Maybe something to bring to Amos."

Puptilian shrugs.

Kiyna gives a sidelong glance at Vaemyr.

Dendum slowly says, ""Spider...silk..."

Dendum nods once.

Speaking to Puptilian, you reason, "It is worth suggesting. He may be able to hire or outsource a group to do so."

Xorus carefully inspects his ebon spidersilk pouch.

Vaemyr nods to you.

You point at Guarrin.

Guarrin

Speaking to you, Guarrin says, "First thank you for the summary. You mentioned baystone a few times tonight. I am curious if any properties have been discovered that would provide indication as to its value."

Cryheart points at Guarrin.

Cryheart says, "Good question."

Lylia nods in agreement at Cryheart.

Guarrin chuckles to himself.

Guarrin nods appreciatively at Cryheart.

Speaking honestly to Guarrin, you say, "As far as it has been shared, no further properties have been discovered. I am in talks with Amos to have Magister Raelee get a sample when it is available to study though."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Speaking amusedly to Guarrin, you say, "I can remind him for a third time."

Cryheart says, "So it is still considered just a decorative gem."

You nod at Cryheart.

Meril raises her hand.

Geijon shifts his weight.

Cryheart nods.

Speaking to you, Guarrin asks, "Then its value is in the potential rarity of the gem?"

Guarrin nods appreciatively to you.

Tabubu turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

You nod briefly at Guarrin.

Speaking idly to Cryheart, Meliyara notes, "Decorative gems can be quite expensive themselves."

Speaking to Guarrin, you say, "At the moment that is the information we have."

Cryheart nods at Meliyara.

Bakarus ponders.

Lylia nods at Meliyara.

Vaemyr agrees with you.

Guarrin nods appreciatively to you.

Speaking to Guarrin, you offer, "I can ask again to see if Amos has anyone else... studying it."

You frankly say, "I am sure he would be pleased to learn if it has more value."

Vaemyr nods.

Guarrin says, "I imagine so."

You inquire, "Did I miss any hands?"

Meril raises her hand.

Kiyna ponders.

You point at Meril.

Kiyna shrugs.

Meril

Speaking to you, Meril asks, "Ah, my question was this -- where is it that you see the Consortium, and the town itself, ten years hence? How many more people will flock to the port here? Will the trail over the wild moors see heavier patrols? Will trade over the sea-road find an answer to Glaoveln?"

You ponder the meaning of Meril's existence.

Geijon nods appreciatively at Meril.

Lylia gazes with interest at Meril.

Kippe smiles at Meril.

Puptilian says, "Should have looked for airship plans before we blew up Winter's Manor. Would be able to bypass Glaoveln."

Puptilian mutters under his breath.

You answer, "I think with any business or organization it is important to grow. Why do it otherwise? I think Wehnimer's will always be the town it is, but it will thrive and become more prosperous."

Xylador looks thoughtfully at Lylia.

Teveriel raises his hand.

Berkana nods at Xylador.

Speaking to Meril, you add, "With any growing pains there will need to be steps taken."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Speaking to Meril, you say, "Considering Amos' view on slavers, I doubt we will be knocking at the doors of Glaoveln any time soon."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Meril nods slowly.

Kiyna nods.

Speaking charmingly to Meril, you say, "I will take your question to him though. I am curious about the future plans and expansion as well."

Teveriel

Speaking curiously to Teveriel, you ask, "Were you next, Lord Anduin?"

You glance appraisingly around the room.

Teveriel nods appreciatively to you.

Teveriel curiously asks, "What can you tell us of the condition of the mines? How large of a workforce does this undertaking command?"

Vaemyr says, "Although I'd like to remind folks after our... latest dealings with Tyrrax, the town itself does have a bit of a... well at least a ceasefire with them, may make the sea trade a bit better."

Wolfloner nods to you.

Speaking to Teveriel, you tease, "There is not enough of them for how long it is taking baystone to reach the market."

You grin wryly.

Vaemyr nods to you.

Guarrin glances skeptically at Vaemyr.

Speaking seriously to Teveriel, you say, "In all fairness, I do not know, but I can inquire and get you the answer."

Uniana takes a moment to observe you.

Dalinsia raises her hand.

Teveriel nods thoughtfully to you.

You admit, "I have only been briefly down to the mine once and it was to cull bandits who had gotten into there."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Speaking to Teveriel, you respond, "As far as the condition there were armigers guarding the entrance. But with the recent conflicts they have been called off, so I doubt the mine is being guarded now until they sort out some issues."

Dendum remarks, ""Miners seem capable of guarding themselves...."

Speaking to you, Teveriel asks, "Is such banditry a frequent occurence?"

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Dendum!

Kiyna folds her arms over her chest.

You look at Teveriel and shake your head.

Thrassus says, "One would almost come to the conclusion that the troubles at the mine are fostered from outside forces."

Speaking to Teveriel, you say, "Not common, no. It was an isolated incident. Potentially linked to the recent krol attacks."

Thrassus nods sagely.

Kiyna

Speaking to you, Kiyna asks, "The armigers are very much an issue of today and not tomorrow. I assume there's been no word yet on the resolution?"

Lylia nods at Thrassus.

You agree with Thrassus.

Speaking to Kiyna, you say, "It's under investigation."

You inform, "I will write to each of you once I find out responses from Amos or hand deliver the news myself."

Kiyna nods understandingly to you.

You smile.

You ask, "Did I miss anyone else?"

Dendum

Perigourd points at Dendum.

Dalinsia nods.

You glance at Dendum.

Dendum glances at you.

You chuckle.

Speaking to you, Dendum inquires, ""What is this Black Hands trading company to the Consortium?"

Speaking to Dendum, you respond, "A partner. We provide services to the consortium and in turn so do they."

Speaking to Dendum, you say, "My organization can grow with assistance from the consortium. I would be a fool to not arrange this opportunity to grow."

Meliyara inclines her head.

Dendum drums his fingers thoughtfully against his chin and inhales the cedar-scented smoke smoldering away within his pipe deeply.

Dalinsia raises her hand.

Uniana glances inquiringly at you.

You point at Dalinsia.

Dalinsia says, "Missed the start of your presentation, though I was right on time last night. Apologies if you already covered this before I arrived."

You chuckle.

Dalinsia

Dalinsia asks, "What happened to or is happening with the original petition for the Consortium sponsorship and membership?"

Dalinsia says, "I think I recognize a few face here tonight from others who signed it last year."

You brightly say, "Ah, I am glad you asked."

Dalinsia glances appraisingly around the room.

Tabubu just went through a discreet tent flap.

You disclose, "Amos asked me to collect any names of people who are interested in membership of the consortium. At this time, I am not sure what that entails, but he will have full details very soon."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Meliyara looks thoughtfully at you.

Dalinsia asks, "I already gave him my name a year ago. Did he lose the list?"

Lylia nods to you.

You say, "As far as the original petition of membership, I am sure he will combine the interest and handle it then."

Dendum says, ""Does not seem very reassuring if he just loses lists like that."

Thrassus says, "May note my name down for that, if you don't mind."

Thrassus nods to you.

You say, "Doubtful, but he is a busy man."

Speaking knowingly to Dendum, Meliyara says, "Perhaps a goat ate it. All the more reason to eat the goats first."

Dalinsia says, "Explains why communication's been so bad."

Fyg nervously says, "I dunno, I'm new in town and don't want to fall in with any unsavories."

Speaking curiously to Dendum, Lylia asks, "Are your ears exceptional?"

Dalinsia grudgingly says, "At least someone's trying to fix that, it looks like."

Dalinsia nods to you.

Dendum remarks, ""Should have festival for eating goats."

You say, "Well, he has me now to assist with these things so they don't slip through the cracks."

You grin impishly at Dalinsia.

Raelee takes a moment to observe you.

Vaemyr nods to you.

Jastalyn grins.

Meliyara agrees with Dendum.

You surreptitiously glance at Dendum.

Speaking to Dendum, Lylia says, "They must be, for I did not hear Kayse suggest the list was lost. I bow to your keener hearing, though, for you must know more than I."

Lylia smiles.

Xylador shifts his weight.

You apologize, "On behalf of the consortium and Amos, we will be moving forward with memberships. Also, at the beginning I did mention the headquarters will be under construction soon as well."

Hiea

Hiea asks, "Maybe i missed it but how are we going to protect our goods?"

You nod at Dalinsia.

You cock your head at Hiea.

Dalinsia nods to you.

Dalinsia says, "Thank you."

Speaking to Hiea, you ask, "Are goods being stolen? Or as far as protection along trade routes?"

Hiea says, "Both."

Xorus dryly says, "I had a rather valuable scroll stolen from me some months back."

You chuckle at Xorus.

Vaemyr says, "I'd be happy to assist also with anyone else interesting in joining, as I joined a couple months ago as an intependent contractor with them. Although I admit, the consortium is most interested in organizations like the Black Hand or such that can provide trade and opportunities, there are other positions if people show interest."

Vaemyr begins chuckling at Xorus!

Blades glances at Xorus.

You nod once at Vaemyr.

Berkana chuckles.

Lylia smiles at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Hiea, you reply, "The consortium has hired help of armigers to protect the town's merchants and their assets."

Fyg exclaims, "Thank you for the instructive presentation!"

You say, "Currently they are off the streets until the Mayor conducts an investigation regarding an incident."

You nod.

Vaemyr nods to you.

Speaking to Hiea, you ask, "Are goods in need of more protection? And where?"

You fold your wings across your back.

Kiyna smiles at you.

Xylador looks thoughtfully at you.

Speaking to you, Hiea says, "As you more more goods there is always people that want to good for less."

You nod understandingly at Hiea.

Perigourd raises his hand.

Speaking in Elven, Xylador says, "I believe it is important to consider security, regardless of past experience. As trade routes begin to solidify, and new ones spring to existance. They are bound to attract unwanted attention. Stationed personel or guard posts may merit some consideration."

Speaking to Hiea, you suggest, "Perhaps I make a query to Amos regarding when the armigers will be back on the street and if not how goods and merchants will be protected?"

Xylador folds his hands behind his back.

Hiea nods to you.

Speaking to Xylador, you agree, "Yes, that is why I asked for armigers to protect my fleet when we sail East once the routes are open."

You smile at Xylador.

Xylador looks thoughtfully at you.

Vaemyr nods to you.

You lightly offer, "Perhaps a benefit of membership?"

Uniana raises her hand.

You shrug your shoulders indifferently, lifting your wings slightly.

You point at Uniana.

Speaking affably to Uniana, you say, "Lady Anduin..."

Speaking in Elven, Xylador says, "I am not meaning to sound intrusive, simply observation. Individual guards leave room for ambush, permenant enclosures sway the possibility somewhat."

Kippe looks thoughtfully at Perigourd.

You nod understandingly at Xylador.

Lylia nods in agreement at Xylador.

Uniana

Uniana says, "Forgive me, has this group already gained the appropriate permits and vouchers required to port in the East? It sounds all very certain for something that my yet be burdened by bureaucracy."

Dendum starts chortling.

Teveriel smiles quietly to himself.

Lylia says, "Vaalorians do care a great deal about papers."

Lylia nods in agreement.

Meliyara smirks as a haughty expression flits across her face.

Tikba snickers at Lylia.

Blades says, "Stack enough coins and permits write themselves."

Roelon grins.

Blades shrugs at Lylia.

Vaeldrys scoffs.

Vaeldrys nods in agreement.

Speaking to you, Puptilian says, "I have to go but thank you for a wonderful presentation."

Uniana kindly says, "When we took harbor in Ta'Loenthra after the tragedy of Caligos we ourselves were only permitted because we had a passanger who was a citizen."

Kiyna smirks at Blades.

Speaking to Uniana, you assure, "The paper work is in the process of being completed. We will be sure to have bills of lading and manifest ready."

You correct, "Manifests."

Vaemyr nods to you.

Uniana nods slowly to you.

You add, "And shipping lanes, of course."

Teveriel neutrally echoes, "Of course."

You thoughtfully say, "Perhaps we need a discussion on proper trade paperwork in the future."

Vaemyr chuckles.

Geijon ponders.

Speaking to you, Vaemyr says, "I could use it to put Kiyna to sleep at least."

Perigourd

You ask, "Did you have a question?"

You glance at Perigourd.

Vaemyr gives Kiyna a series of teasing little prods along the spine.

Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "Is the Consortium taking any steps to account for growth as concerns over forestation and the damage to potential habitats of local game? It seems that as the town grows, and exports possibly increase, these abundant resources could easily become depleted if not planned for causing harm to those who use such commodities to provide for their family's homes and meals."

Kiyna nods gravely at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Perigourd, you say, "Most of our trade goods have been funneling revenue into Wehnimer's for some time now. The trade I mentioned earlier of lumber and furs isn't necessarily done by the consortium itself."

Speaking understandingly to Perigourd, you say, "But I do understand your concern."

Speaking to Perigourd, you ask, "Would you like to head up the consortium's beautification effort as well as replanting and monitoring wild life?"

Vaemyr grins at you.

Blades stares off into space.

Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "Perhaps they can spend some of that revenue to establish a rotation of harvesting and planting trees then."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kippe says, "I'll help."

You agree with Perigourd.

Perigourd looks thoughtfully at Kippe.

Xorus offers, "When I ran for Mayor, I stressed the importance of getting letters patent from the Earl, so that this town may claim control over all the surrounding natural resources. Then any unwanted resource stripping or mining would be illegal contraband."

You ponder the meaning of Xorus's existence.

Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "I would not be opposed to it."

Drektor folds his hands behind his back.

You smile at Perigourd.

Lylia nods at Xorus.

Speaking pleasantly to Perigourd, you inform, "I have made a note. Kippe is your assistant now."

Meliyara gazes in amusement at Kippe.

Vaemyr starts chuckling at you!

Xylador shifts his weight.

Kippe smirks at Perigourd.

Perigourd chuckles.

Meril looks at Kippe and hums.

Speaking to his beanbag ranger, Perigourd says, "I knew you had it in you."

Speaking to Perigourd, Vaemyr says, "I look forward to your work."

You ask, "Any futher questions?"

Xylador nods in agreement at Xorus.

Perigourd tucks away his beanbag ranger.

Meliyara laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement from Perigourd.

You say, "If you wish to have an interest in the Darkstone Bay Consortium, please gather around me so I can make sure to get everyone's names."

You announce, "Thank you all for coming. Next month Lady Rashere will be speaking about the Spice Trade."
