Leafiara (prime)/Custom Fatal Afflares

The following is a list of Custom Fatal Afflares (available at the Bloodriven Village High End Scrip Shop) that I've gotten approved and applied. (Not all of them are necessarily for Leafi herself!)

Musical Cakes

1st person: Shining mana strands morph into illusory cakes topped with myriad colorful musical shapes!  They spiral around you, sparkling bright, then bombard [TARGET] with a symphony of strikes!
3rd person: Shining mana strands morph into illusory cakes topped with myriad colorful musical shapes!  They circle [ATTACKER], sparkling bright, then bombard [TARGET] with a symphony of strikes!

So far this is the only one I needed to get into a back and forth with. The idea was always that magical energy forms into the appearance of cakes while still being volatile and dangerous to the touch, but I had to add in the word "illusory" to make that 100% clear. I'm probably silly enough to go back and pay another 25k bloodscrip at some point so I can slightly tweak the second sentence. This was in the initial batch of Custom Fatal Afflares being offered, so I mistakenly assumed that I had to include [TARGET] in the messaging at all, which can badly break up the rhyme and meter because of variable length creature descriptions.

Radiant Ribbons

1st person: A dazzling dance of swirling silk surrounds [TARGET], restraining [HIM/HER/IT] with radiant ribbons! For a fancy finishing flourish, they twist and twine into bows before bursting into a brilliant explosion of energy!

Red-Violet Phoenix

1st person: On blazing wings trailing a red-violet rainbow, an ethereal phoenix soars from your [ITEM]!  With a fierce shriek toward [TARGET], it hurls a glass orb that shatters into a rippling ring of crimson flames!
3rd person: On blazing wings trailing a red-violet rainbow, an ethereal phoenix soars from [ATTACKER's] [ITEM]!  With a fierce shriek toward [TARGET], it hurls a glass orb that shatters into a rippling ring of crimson flames!

Once Animalistic Spirit Weapons added the option to shoot ghost rooks (the animal, not Rooks), I had to go for it. The question, then, was what to do with custom flares (in the standard flare slot) when those came out months afterward! My first thought was to have the weapon shoot "a shaking crimson glass orb" that would explode, partly for its own sake and partly to freak out veteran KSTers who had probably set highlights to know when to run out of the room before an explosion. :D

I eventually decided against that plan, partly because it seemed too metagamey and partly because a lot of the newer KST participants wouldn't even catch the reference due to the Rooks from 2019 on, under Casiphia, basically never using orbs at all. Still, I wanted to keep something like it, so I toned it down to just being "a glass orb" and instead adapted the rest of the original imagery, which looked like this: "The crimson glass orb suddenly explodes, tiny shards of glass scattering as a ring of crimson flames bursts forth, rippling out in every direction!"

The phoenix came about as I thought it would be cool to have the Animalistic Spirit and standard flare messaging play off of each other, suggesting that some of the dead rook spirits are rising into phoenixes.

Sparkling Sledgehammer

1st person: Brilliant white ribbons of energy swiftly spiral upward from your [ITEM] and form into a sparkling sledgehammer!  It hurtles toward [TARGET] and explodes into a resplendent array of star-shaped motes!
3rd person: Brilliant white ribbons of energy swiftly spiral upward from [ATTACKER's] [ITEM] and form into a sparkling sledgehammer!  It hurtles toward [TARGET] and explodes into a resplendent array of star-shaped motes!
