Legantine Chancellery

The Legantine Chancellery is the proper name of the foreign ministry of the Basilica of House Faendryl. It is part of the Rachis. Below the Legantine chancellor are High Legates, whose "legateships" are nominally the civil authority over the provincial holdings of the Faendryl Empire, which is sufficient but not necessary to hold the standing to be an Ambassador in embassies of the Elven Nations. Lesser powers than the Great Houses may receive lesser diplomatic missions called "legations", while emissaries or delegations of envoys may informally meet with powers not formally recognized by House Faendryl.
