Lurilan is a Wedding Officiant that performs wedding ceremonies for those that purchase a wedding package from the Simucoin Store during Rings of Lumnis, Duskruin, Rumor Woods, or Ebon Gate.

Description

You see Lurilan the Abbess of Lumnis.
She appears to be Elven.
She is young and tall. She has clear sea-green eyes that belie an ageless wisdom and pale, flawless skin.
She is in good shape.
A flowing, multicolored gown shifts from color to color with the slightest movement, highlighting her long curly hair.  Dainty silk slippers and five simple rings are her only accessories.

Ceremony

Lurilan glides forward, her gown shifting from color to color as she moves to stand before the assembled guests.  Lurilan motions for silence, her clear, high voice rising above the crowd.  "Knowledge is the purest pursuit in life," she says.

"Today we gather because GROOM and BRIDE have chosen to join together in this pursuit and to be bound in matrimony," Lurilan continues.  "I will ask Lumnis' blessing upon this union and the couple's ongoing quest for knowledge, and you," Lurilan gestures at the assembled guests, "will all bear witness today," she says with a smile.

Turning to face you, Lurilan asks, "Do you, GROOM, choose BRIDE to be your lifelong partner in your pursuit of knowledge, and to be your lawfully wedded companion?"

Turning to face BRIDE, Lurilan asks, "Do you, BRIDE, choose GROOM to be your lifelong partner in your pursuit of knowledge, and to be your lawfully wedded companion?"

Success

Lurilan motions to a nearby acolyte who steps forward and extends an open tome before her and yourselves.  Taking BRIDE's and your hands in her own, Lurilan presses your palms to the pages of the open tome and recites, "Lumnis most wise, Granter of Knowledge, and Keeper of Lore, we ask this day your blessing upon the union between these two individuals who wish to continue their pursuit as one."

A warm golden light shines from the pages of the open tome, bathing the two of you in its warm glow before vanishing once more.

Lurilan smiles as she releases your hands, and the acolyte closes the book and steps back.  "Lumnis has granted your request and bestowed her blessing upon your union.  I pronounce you married under the law," Lurilan says happily.  "May you find knowledge in all your future endeavors," she states before gliding out.

Rejection

"Wisdom and knowledge can be found in the negative as easily as the positive," Lurilan says.  "There will be no wedding today, as GROOM and BRIDE will be resuming their pursuit alone," she continues.  "Please feel free to enjoy the refreshments laid out before you," she states before gliding out.
