Log

Awaiting Elidal

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Savrel disk, the Margus disk, the Maleagant disk, the Tevlesh disk, a miniature pure milk chocolate egg, the Crendain disk, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, a grizzled giant purple squirrel with onyx black eyes, a dolorous wasteland spirit that is flying around, the Guarrin disk, the Emperia disk, the drake-incised Draelor disk, a massive grey wolf, the Stormyrain disk, the skull-shaped Irval disk, the Arahnim disk, the ivy-trimmed Leifa disk dotted with clusters of Imaera's Lace, a black-toed saddleback foxhound, a black-eared red and grey fox that is sitting, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild reddish-black dog, a sinuous bone white serpent, a frost-covered yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the Kezoku disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a large acorn, some wolifrew lichen, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Fionola, Lord Margus, Jyszull, Goldstr, Dragauth, Blade Yardie, Maleagant, Tevlesh, Chamorr, Drektor, Grand Lord Keletheryl, Crendain, Ulfwine, Kelfyr, Tikba, Bernadette, Town Councilor Kiyna, Sir Guarrin, Dame Evia, Lady Emperia, Draelor, Magister Raelee, Mourdeyan, Stormyrain, Avalera, Grand Lord Arahnim, Grand Lord Irval, Leifa, Missoni, Perigourd, Sir Geijon, Lady Akenna, Falicor, Sir Cryheart, Lord Kezoku, Andromalius who is sitting

Speaking to Emperia, Yardie asks, "Sleep well?"

Chamorr heartily says, "Ok."

Chamorr heartily says, "Whats a whimweaver."

Speaking to Yardie, Emperia says, "Fairly well...but I am quite tired tonight regardless."

Speaking to Chamorr, Yardie says, "They weave whims."

Speaking to Emperia, Yardie says, "As am I."

Leafiara sagely says, "Obviously."

Leifa taps her cigar, knocking a clump of ashes to the ground.

Icy flakes of snow drift down from the sky.

Falicor says, "The runes say to say humble...."

Speaking to Leifa, Yardie asks, "What flavor is that?"

Speaking to Yardie, Leifa says, "Cinnnonnnmon."

Cryheart sticks his tongue out and manages to catch a snowflake on its tip!

Mourdeyan sticks her tongue out.

Cryheart says, "Takes practice."

Speaking to Mourdeyan, Goldstr says, "Da Ur-Daemon warchin down on us."

Speaking to Leifa, Yardie says, "Rather nice scent."

Mourdeyan says, "Aye, he still in tha sky."

Tikba muses, "You are right, the Ur-Daemon is in the sky."

Speaking to Goldstr, Geijon asks, "What do th' stars mean tonight, Goldstr?"

From nearby, you hear Gutstorm yell, "Da shtarsh shay to gimme a sammy!"

Oh, It's Cordarius

[General] Cordarius thinks, "Hello Landing."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Good evening to you."

[General] Akenna cheerfully greets, "Hello."

[General] Ulfwine thinks, ""Good evening to you also."

[General] Kiyna thinks, "Evenin'."

[General] Ouidanna slyly thinks, "Hello from Icemule."

Goldstr says, "Ur-Daemon be mostly bout Power an Destruction."

[Realm] Tikba politely thinks, "Good evening, Magister Hodges."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good evening."

[General] Cordarius thinks, "Shall we convene? I've some news to share. How about the assembly room in Moot Hall? Out of the cold."

Tikba pleasantly says, "The Ur-Daemon is Marlu's constellation, as he is the last Ur-Daemon."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Sounds good."

Tikba says, "It is a good omen."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Excellent."

Cryheart says, "To the assembly room in Moot."

Cryheart says, "Moving."

Vaemyr says, "Welp time to see."

Chamorr heartily asks, "Can we throw stuff at him?"

Cryheart says, "Three....two....one."

[Moot Hall, Assembly Room]

In this large assembly room meetings are convened to deal with the affairs of the town, and the locals hold their religious and social events. There is ample room for benches, long tables and other furnishings befitting special occasions. Sconces for torches, chandeliers holding many candles, and broad windows impart a warm, friendly glow of good fellowship to this space. You also see the Gutstorm disk, a louvered door, a double door and some wooden benches.

Falicor says, "Would it kill them to have tea available at all hours..."

Falicor says, "Now that was good timing."

[General] Maynist thinks, "Wow no shimmertine shards for sale anywhere...guess Im gonna have to do this da hard way."

Alosaka asks, "Which way to the councilor's offices?"

Lord Cordarius just came through a double door.

Cordarius waves.

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Back to the lobby, up the stairs, all the way down the hall, through the arch."

Missoni cheerfully greets, "Lord Cordarius."

Speaking to Cordarius, Akenna greets, "Good evening."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "Good evening, Lord Hodges."

Speaking flatly to Cordarius, Raelee says, "... Cordarius."

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Ah, welcome back."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "I guess we'll see if your new news to share will be as uhhh wild as the last one."

Cordarius asks, "Welcome back?"

Cordarius says, "I've been here."

Cordarius grins at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kiyna says, "I think people forget that you have a job here."

Speaking to Cordarius, Geijon asks, "That net trick your work?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "It's awfully cold, but I imagine it's better than a bane coffin."

Cordarius takes a bite of his golden apple.

Lylia says, "And here I thought you were away, you have been seen so little in the town square."

Cryheart whispers something to Kothos.

Cordarius nods at Kothos.

Cordarius asks, "Net trick?"

Thrassus says, "I'd say he has been quite busy."

Cordarius takes a bite of his golden apple.

Cordarius says, "I've received Earl Jovery's letter. I am sure you are all aware."

Lylia says, "We might have heard something about it, yes."

Cordarius says, "Lord Elidal has received his own letter, and I have come to read...ours."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "We're not here to see how many fit in the Moot."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "How we know da letter da shame?"

Speaking to Kothos, Akenna says, "By the look of it, quite a few, but there's still some room yet."

Cordarius takes a bite of his golden apple.

Earl Jovery's Letter

Cordarius pulls a furled scroll with a wax blue phoenix seal from his robe and slowly peels it open.

Cordarius asks, "Shall we begin?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Shore, why not."

Speaking politely to Cordarius, Akenna says, "Yes, please."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "We're all a twitter, sir."

Cordarius glances at the scroll.

Cordarius says, "Little wordy, so let's give it time..."

Kelfyr asks, "To what, simmer?"

Cordarius clears his throat.

Cordarius recites:

"I have heard you, citizens and alike of Wehnimer's Landing. I have always heard you."

Cordarius recites:

"When the demon Hochstib came to steal your freedom and peace in 5103, I heard you. The banners of the north rose to the sky while our brothers and sisters took to the field to rescue Wehnimer's Landing from the mad Baron. Our sons and daughters fought and bled beside you. We understand the value and promise of a free Wehnimer's Landing as much then as we do now."

Cordarius recites:

"When Barnon Slim usurped the government of Wehnimer's Landing in 5111 and ordered the Silver Gryphons executed, we went on to dispatch the might of the imperial north and crush any oppression of the town's people and their protectors."

Cordarius recites:

"In 5112 we joined forces in eliminating perhaps the single greatest threat of our lifetimes, when we rid the world of Althedeus during the War of Shadows. We did not do such as men standing in opposing corners. We did so as a united people who embraced life, freedom, and family above all else."

Cordarius recites:

"In 5115, I issued the command to construct the Hendoran Outpost within the grasslands near Wehnimer's Landing, to be commanded by Sir Thadston at the time. It was not an act of war, it was not the preamble of an invasion. It was to serve as a staunch reminder to our shared enemies beyond the walls that we have fought and stood together, and we will continue to do so. It was to remind those threats lurking in the shadows of the world that together we have always known nothing less than victory."

Cordarius recites:

"In 5116, your great citizens braved it all to save my life, when the wickedness of Chaston Griffin had put it in peril. We have faced countless enemies and have seen years of turmoil, but from each conflict we have risen stronger. But that has not come without its scars."

Cordarius recites:

"It is at times difficult to forget our wounds. Even if the flesh has long since healed, the memory of its pain can linger. It is that anguish that can forge a man into a weapon for good, or for evil. When do we admit wrongs, and what do we do to end their cycle? When does a man swallow his pride, face his sin, and deliver grace?"

Cordarius recites:

"It is why writing this letter has pained me so. There has never been a time when I looked upon Wehnimer's Landing as anything but a trusted ally and neighbor to the north. Never once have I sent troops to occupy your lands, or garnish your resources, or impose upon your freedoms."

Cordarius recites:

"I am an old man, and with age has come wisdom, but perhaps I had been a fool to believe my actions were somehow more valued in comparison to inked words. Had I known letters and not blood was more critical in proving my intentions, then there might be thousands of imperial mothers who did not have to bury their sons or husbands."

Gutstorm whispers something to Dendum.

Cordarius recites:

"I refuse to accept that we have entered a world and time where actions are meaningless. You, Wehnimer's Landing, above all should know the danger of silvered tongues in the mouths of corrupt and depraved imperials. Those who have sinned against you were as much our enemy as they were yours."

Chamorr heartily says, "Waitin fer the shoe."

Cordarius recites:

"If it is words you are desiring, then so be it. I hope the action in that alone speaks louder than the ink on this parchment. It is my genuine fear that for those in such need of these things will still find themselves unsated. Will words provide true comfort, and quiet the fears that actions alone did not? Time will tell."

Cordarius recites:

"Twenty years ago, Wehnimer's Landing was declared a protectorate of the Turamzzyrian Empire. That has not changed, nor will it. Within that status, Wehnimer's Landing exists under the protective eye of the Empire. Your enemies are our enemies. Your interests are our interests. Your freedom and existence are equally important to the Empire, which is why your town remains beyond imperial borders, but can still benefit from our resources and might."

Cordarius recites:

"But our two people can surely benefit from further clarification. I have received Lord Elidal Dhenin's requests, and recommendations, and I have ruled a response accordingly."

Cordarius recites:

"By decree of the Lord Sentinel of the North, Earl of North Hendor, and Lord Protector of the Broken Kingdom, and by grant of his Imperial Majesty, Emperor Aurmont Chandrennin Anodheles, I have hereby ordered the following:"

Cordarius recites:

"The protectorate status of Wehnimer's Landing remains unchanged and shall not be revoked."

Cordarius recites:

"Non-imperial entities or governments are disallowed from laying claim to any territory within or around Wehnimer's Landing. This includes the presence of any foreign military, such as outposts or armies. Such advances will be viewed as an act of war."

Cordarius recites:

"The formation of the Barony of Darkstone shall never result in the future annexation of Wehnimer's Landing, affording the town the right to not be absorbed into imperial territory."

Cordarius recites:

"The town of Wehnimer's Landing will be officially recognized to govern itself independently, in both the creation and management of their laws and leadership, without any interference or influence from imperial entities, so long as said regulations do not run contradictory to the established laws, well-being and interests of the Turamzzyrian Empire."

Cordarius recites:

"Threats, dangers, and enemies of Wehnimer's Landing shall also be designated at the same status level within the Turamzzyrian Empire. Furthermore, the Empire shall defer to Wehnimer's local laws and defense measures first but will respond accordingly in relation to the severity of the threat to imperial interests."

Cordarius recites:

"Likewise, adversarial organizations, armies, or governments officially identified as threats to the Turamzzyrian Empire will also be subject to the same status level within Wehnimer's Landing, affording the Empire the right to extradite imperial criminals to face trial and justice within their borders."

Geijon says, "I remember that one."

Cordarius recites:

"Imperial citizens found guilty of crimes or corruption operating within the walls of Wehnimer's Landing shall be subject to imperial justice and will no longer be provided safe haven for abusive or criminal behavior. Crimes of imperial citizens within Wehnimer's Landing, at the discretion of the Northern Sentinel, may be tried and punished within the jurisdiction of Wehnimer's Landing's courts."

Cordarius recites:

"Additionally, Wehnimer's Landing shall be free to conduct trade as an independent government, allowing them autonomy in their economic matters, so long as said contracts do not negatively harm or undermine the interests and well-being of the Turamzzyrian Empire, or are entered into agreement with imperial-designated adversarial organizations or governments."

Cordarius recites:

"The imperial position of Regional Envoy of Wehnimer's Landing shall be vacated at the end of Charlatos, 5123, and at the prior approval of the mayor shall henceforth be doubled in capacity, serving for terms of two-year cycles. It is now established that no official governing or advisory position within Wehnimer's Landing shall be held by any non-citizen of the town."

Cordarius blinks.

Cordarius asks, "Wait..what?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Sho if we declare Amos an emeny of da Landin, he will take care'm fer ush? Cuz him got da town all meshed up right now wita private army inshide da down."

Cordarius looks back at the scroll.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "You get to go home."

Tikba says, "You may run again, if you wish."

Cordarius recites:

"It is my hope, that as I have always heard you, that you will now hear me. May the future of Wehnimer's Landing, and the neighboring Barony of Darkstone be one of shared benefit, cooperation, and peace. May we agree that those who would wish or work against such an outcome are mutually our enemies and will be responded to in kind. May we never lessen the weight of actions and tarnish the good deeds of our truest heroes.""

Cordarius recites:

"By my hand,"

Cordarius recites:

"Earl Eddric Jovery. The Northern Sentinel. Earl of North Hendor. Lord Protector of the Broken Kingdom. "

Cordarius says, "Etc....etc..."

Speaking quietly to Kothos, Raelee mutters, "... I would not guarantee that."

Cordarius looks at the scroll in his hand.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me keep da shcroll fer shoopineer?"

Speaking politely to Cordarius, Tikba says, "Thank you, Magister."

Speaking to Raelee, Kothos says, "I suppose it's cruel to suggest a guarantee of such."

Speaking gratefully to Cordarius, Missoni says, "Thank you."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr asks, "Thanks Cordarius, uhh... sorry about getting fired?"

Cordarius folds up the scroll and slips it into his robes.

Discussion

Falicor says, "That declaration does seem to hold with history and deed."

Kelfyr asks, "I guess you could always sign the book and run for a two-year term?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Thank you for bringing this missive to us, and for all you have done in your role to date."

Cordarius bows to Lylia.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "Thank you for sharing this, Envoy. And for your work against the Blight."

Cryheart says, "Amen to that."

Cordarius bows to Kothos.

Cordarius says, "It was my pleasure."

Thrassus says, "That was a clarifying statement if I ever heard one."

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "I certainly hope so."

Tikba thoughtfully agrees, "Yes."

Cordarius removes the hood of his robe, revealing his features.

Speaking to Cordarius, Evia says, "It would be wonderful should a scribe be able to provide copies of this momentous scroll as a keepsake of historical import."

Wolfloner darkly says, "It was clear and concise. The Landing is free as long as the empire wishes. Not hard to understand at all."

Alosaka says, "I hope, if you encounter the Earl, you can inform him that we understand the sacrifices his men have made on our behalf, and his actions weigh as heavily in our hearts as his words."

Cordarius says, "We'll see to that."

Cordarius nods at Evia.

Evia beams happily at Cordarius!

Cordarius nods at Alosaka.

Cordarius says, "I will pass along the word when next I see him."

Cryheart says, "Long live Earl Jovery."

Chamorr heartily says, "Wow."

Cordarius says, "Who knows, perhaps my services may still be required somewhere. I hear there is this new Barony being formed."

Speaking evenly to Wolfloner, Stormyrain says, "You've had a bone to pick with the Empire for as long as I have known you, and yet the ending you have predicted, have feared, has not come to pass. Mayhaps it is time to focus on Gnul, and the true enemy of our town."

Cordarius smirks.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "You'd think you've come to like us or something."

Cryheart says, "And may ye as well, Envoy Cordarius."

Speaking smoothly to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Yes, and that barony happens to be next to a very exciting little town on the bay, which might find itself with a few new citizens soon."

Cordarius begins chuckling at Kothos!

Cordarius says, "Some of you."

Speaking cautiously to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "... or your previous position?"

Speaking to Mourdeyan, Ulfwine says, ""It is as the Earl said."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "You are welcome to become a citizen if you want."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Falicor says, "But if he keeps saying it over and over, maybe he'll trick a few more in believing him."

Cordarius asks, "And then get suckered into being Mayor?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "There's always room for you out in the swamp. It's much warmer there."

Cordarius looks over at Vaemyr and shakes his head.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Goldstr says, "Aye Gnul be now our focus."

Cordarius says, "No thanks."

Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "There is still plenty of work to be done around here."

Speaking darkly to Stormyrain, Wolfloner says, "Quit."

Cordarius nods at Guarrin.

Speaking to Wolfloner, Yardie asks, "Well you seem.....bothered?"

Speaking to Wolfloner, Stormyrain asks, "Quit what?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Kayse teases, "You're assuming people would vote for you."

Cordarius says, "Well. I hope this letter helped. I doubt it did for some of you. You'll pick what you want to hear I am sure."

Cordarius chuckles.

Cordarius says, "We always do."

Cordarius waves.

Speaking darkly to Stormyrain, Wolfloner says, "Gnul is a threat because the empire is here. They can clean up their own mess."

Speaking to Lylia, Xorus says, "That was about what we expected, certain fine details notwithstanding."

Speaking to Cordarius, Yardie says, "Always."

Cordarius says, "Goodnight everyone. You're still stuck with me for..."

Mourdeyan says, "Thankya sir."

Speaking politely to Cordarius, Bristenn observes, "Magister."

Cordarius asks, "What did it say? Charlatos?"

Cordarius nods.

Speaking to Cordarius, Kothos says, "A pleasure, Envoy."

Speaking to Cordarius, Akenna says, "It was nice to have it laid out in black and white."

Cordarius grins.

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I have a question."

Kothos says, "Two months."

Cordarius peers quizzically at Raelee.

Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr says, "Every word was a pleasure to hear."

Speaking to Cordarius, Akenna says, "Thank you for all that you've done for us."

Cordarius bows.

Raelee whispers something to Cordarius.

Speaking to Cordarius, Missoni wishes, "Fair eve, and thank you."

Speaking darkly to Stormyrain, Wolfloner says, "If the citizen of the empire wants to live under the boots of the empire then so be it. Good luck with your master."

Stormyrain says, "I do not care why Gnul has decided to crawl from the earth and wage war; if it was not the Empire it would be something else in the future. Illoke's minions have waged war on us periodically for all the decades I have been here."

Speaking to Akenna, Evia says, "More of a reddish brown on muted beige."

Lylia says, "It truly was. Balm to the ears after having the points of them abraded so often recently."

Cordarius whispers something to Raelee.

Cryheart says, "Bregandians."

Speaking darkly to Stormyrain, Wolfloner says, "You made your own chains. Wear those well."

Speaking amusedly to Wolfloner, Stormyrain says, "You know me better than that, Wolfloner."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "As I suspected. Do inform me if that changes."

Cordarius whispers something to Raelee.

Vaemyr says, "So, I know nothing that was said tonight was going to change some folks minds. But I choose to believe in both actions and words, that no one threatens our freedom of rule and government here."

Raelee gives a sidelong glance at Cordarius.

Evia says, "One wears the chains one forges in life, I hear."

Stormyrain offers, "So it is unacceptable for me to disagree with you? Sounds like you are wishing to be a master, and are angry that I will not bend the knee to your wishes."

Kiyna says, "I for one appreciate the clarification."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Lylia says, "I heard the word 'never,' which is concise, strong, and clear."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Dendum reminds, ""Under this law of extradition...do we not now owe Bodohol his crew member back?"

Kothos says, "We've been invading the Illoke for twenty years and slaughtering them wholesale. I find it odd that anyone would lodge blame at this point."

Speaking darkly to Vaemyr, Wolfloner says, "The Landing is free as long as the Empire says so. It is simple to understand."

Ulfwine says, "I expected no less from the Earl, and I am glad he made it plain."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Alosaka asks, "Out of curiosity, what would change that situation, in your mind?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Valid point."

Speaking to Kiyna, Yardie says, "I do too. Though...there is truth to the idea that many will not take the news as well."

Tikba politely asks, "Perhaps a few questions could be answered for me, since I am not long here in the Landing. I have heard it said that the summoning of demons is legal in Wehnimer's Landing, yes?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "... and something to contemplate further."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "We could turn his crew over to the northern sentinel, if we had him. I have not seen Tolmis in over a month, he may not even still be in town."

Cordarius says, "It also appears that your town will be electing their own envoys."

Evia says, "Yes, Protectorate should be easy to understand."

Rhaladin says, "From wha' ah' heard tha' Landing be free o' imperial rule only as long as it does nae step on imperial interests."

Speaking darkly to Alosaka, Wolfloner says, "I see nothing changing."

Cordarius says, "That has got to be an exciting development."

Tikba vaguely says, "There are a few here in this room, I think, who would know the law on this."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "But it also said for violating laws in our town, and he has done none such."

Speaking to Tikba, Kothos says, "It is, it was legalized under Lylia's second term."

Speaking darkly to Cordarius, Wolfloner says, "For willing slaves it no doubt is."

Speaking coldly to Wolfloner, Lylia says, "I have heard you bleat for years, and for years, you have never run for office or effected any kind of meaningful change. You have not shouldered any burden of it. You have only criticized those who have."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Alosaka asks, "Then what are you arguing or advocating for?"

Lylia says, "At this point, I can only assume you have some kind of madness or brain-worm that makes you act as you do, and I want no further part of it."

Cordarius glances at Wolfloner and yawns.

Speaking carefully to Kothos, Tikba asks, "And yet the summoning of demons is contrary to the established law of the Turamzyrrian Empire, is it not?"

Speaking darkly to Lylia, Wolfloner says, "You have made your bed. Lie in it."

Akenna says, "Some things that do not bend, break... and I'm am certain if you don't break on your own, something will do it for you."

Lylia silkily says, "Oh, I shall, the sheets are luxurious and the comforter filled with down."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Dendum repeats, "That is not what it said."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Alosaka asks, "Are you just here to tell us the Empire is a threat? You have nothing to suggest to us, options to consider, other possible paths?"

Speaking to Tikba, Kothos says, "I think so, yes. Though of course there are sorcerers in the Empire."

Cordarius says, "I once had this tiny little music box, was it the Spitfire? The Juggernaut? The Cloud? it would wind it up, and round and round it'd go. But always the same."

Cordarius nods at Wolfloner.

Speaking amusedly to Kothos, Tikba says, "Yes, I have known a few."

Cordarius says, "That's basically you, but without the music."

Cordarius smirks.

Speaking to Tikba, Kothos says, "As far as I know, they are allowed to learn their craft within reason, including Summoning."

Speaking to Evia, Lylia says, "We shall snuggle outrageously."

Speaking to Kothos, Tikba asks, "Under the terms of the letter, Wehnimer's Landing must change that law, yes?"

Avalera wryly says, "And much less entertaining."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "" "Imperial citizens found guilty of crimes or corruption operating within the walls of Wehnimer's Landing shall be subject to imperial justice and will no longer be provided safe haven for abusive or criminal behavior. Crimes of imperial citizens within Wehnimer's Landing, at the discretion of the Northern Sentinel, may be tried and punished within the jurisdiction of Wehnimer's Landing's courts.""."

Speaking to Cordarius, Akenna says, "Music always makes things more pleasant."

Tikba politely says, "I am merely trying to understand the details."

Speaking to Tikba, Missoni says, "Why should it? The law does not directly threaten the Empire."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Lylia asks, "Good to have this clarified a bit, yes?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Dendum clarifies, ""Eh...perhaps you can recall the line above that one."

Chamorr heartily says, "Question."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "I'm not sure it suggested that Landing laws must mirror the Empire's laws precisely."

Speaking to Tikba, Kothos says, "Not necessarily, from what he just read, it sounds like that would only be the case if it threatens the Empire in some way. They have not suggested such in the past four years."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kelfyr says, "Impressive memory, to quote that precisely."

Xorus says, "In fairness, what is called 'minor summoning' was something of a propaganda move by the Basilica, innocuous things like metal birds. We have not legalized vathors and oculoths."

Tikba politely says, "I recall the statement being that the Landing's laws may not be contradictory to the established law of the Empire."

Chamorr heartily asks, "Are cwe citizens of the empire?"

Speaking to Kelfyr, Kiyna says, "He does this all the time."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Precisely."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "The "."

Speaking to Chamorr, Akenna says, "No."

Tikba says, "That law seems to be fairly well established."

Speaking to Xorus, Kothos says, "Yet."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "Adversarial organizations, armies, or governments officially identified as threats to the Turamzzyrian Empire will also be subject to the same status level within Wehnimer's Landing, affording the Empire the right to extradite imperial criminals to face trial and justice within their borders."."

Speaking in Guildspeak, Toxyrox melodically says something you don't understand.

Mourdeyan says, "We are citizens of wehnimers landin."

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "You may have to wait for my eighth or ninth term for that."

Ulfwine says, "Some of us are , some of us are not."

Falicor whispers to the group, "Are the Thorns an organization dedicated to bureaucracy or....?"

Yardie says, "I'm not one to ignore anyone's opinion. Not my style. But....I feel there might be some hostility toward the wording."

Speaking to Dendum, Vaemyr says, "In no way is Tolmis an organization, army or government."

Yardie says, "To me, nothing's changed. Which is....as neutral is it comes."

Cordarius exclaims, "Well, goodnight all!"

Cordarius takes a bite of his golden apple.

Cordarius bows.

Mourdeyan whispers to the group, "The thorns are a group seemingly dedicated to debate, endless debate."

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Visit again anytime."

Speaking to Cordarius, Akenna exclaims, "Have a good night!"

Falicor says, "There is a point where words have fallen not on deaf ears, but ignorant ones."

Cordarius says, "It has been an honor. We'll talk again I am sure before my next journey."

Guarrin whispers to the group, "There are guests with us."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna asks, "He might be an army, you seen him fight?"

Avalera says, "Ronan guard your sleep."

Lord Cordarius just went through a double door.
