Editing Protocol of this Log

• NPC dialogue, NPC actions, and PC dialogue or actions which NPCs react to are bolded.

Log

Awaiting Thadston

[Moot Hall, Assembly Room]

In this large assembly room meetings are convened to deal with the affairs of the town, and the locals hold their religious and social events. Sconces for torches, chandeliers holding many candles, and broad windows impart a warm, friendly glow of good fellowship to this space. The entire room has been completely emptied out of all wooden benches, tables, and chairs. You also see the green Oishian disk, the Thyrabos disk, a louvered door and a double door.

Stormyrain just came through a louvered door, dragging Kelfyr with her.

Dergoatean asks, "Did I miss it?"

Leafiara surprisedly says, "Oh, they really did empty out the benches."

Stormyrain says, "I was conducting an experiment."

Lithyia says, "No because if you missed it, i would say HOW DARE."

Dergoatean says, "I'll be a bit surprised if Thadston has the patience for this."

[General] Leafiara surprisedly thinks, "I thought the clerk was joking, but the assembly room actually has been emptied of chairs and benches tonight."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "So come on in and feel safe! ...ish."

Bernadette softly says, "No chairs I see."

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "Thadston has far worse than tables, yes."

[General] Pukk thinks, "It's the budget. They are running low on chair funds."

Lithyia says, "I do hope Thadston likes the gift I am making for him."

Lithyia busily knits away at something with her knitting needles, the task taking up her complete attention.

Speaking to Lithyia, Pukk asks, "A noose?"

Speaking to Lithyia, Chandrellia asks, "Mittens?"

Thyrabos asks, "Knitting something to smother him with?"

Lithyia says, "Socks."

Lithyia says, "Snowy yellow angora socks."

Speaking to Lithyia, Pukk says, "Close enough."

Speaking to Lithyia, Chandrellia says, "You do want to get hung dont you."

Speaking to Lithyia, Dergoatean says, "That's definitely his style."

Lithyia says, "If he hangs me for these socks, he'll have a big problem on his hands."

Lithyia says, "I"m not worried."

Dergoatean asks, "Alright, who would like some ale, champagne, mead, rum, whiskey, wine, coffee, juice, milk, tea, or water?"

Speaking to Lithyia, Chandrellia says, "At this point, I dont think it will matter.much."

Stormyrain says, "It is not as if he hangs people for bad taste."

Thyrabos says, "Moonshine for this darkie."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara muses, "No hot chocolate?"

Lithyia says, "Besides, he'll have to get in line... Amos threatened me the other night."

Dergoatean exclaims, "Tough crowd!"

Lithyia says, "Not many things scare me anynore."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Chandrellia says, "Ummm well."

Lithyia says, "Not after what I've been through this year."

Oishian exclaims, "Coffie actually sounds good, for once!"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara concedes, "I mean, water will suffice, I guess."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Stormyrain says, "I said bad taste, not being a member of an underground organization."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "Want some chocolate milk?"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Evia says, "Pomegranite juice, extra ice, crushed."

Dergoatean offers Oishian a mug of black coffee.

Oishian says, "I'm struggling not to yawn, here."

Oishian accepts Dergoatean's black coffee.

Oishian exclaims, "Thanks!"

[General] Pukk exclaims, "Come to the assembly room. The show will start soon! Bring your tomatoes!"

Speaking amiably to Dergoatean, Leafiara exclaims, "Thanks!"

Speaking to your fruit-infused water, Leafiara marvels, "Fancy."

Bernadette softly says, "Im gud, tanks doh."

Lithyia quietly says, "'I've heard..that some were surprised by my...boldness...the other evening."

[General] Chandrellia thinks, "Just leave all chairs outside please."

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk exclaims, "You're a god?! Wow!"

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk says, "Well, you are a confident one aren't ya."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "I guess I could let him borrow mine if he really needs."

Leafiara indicates a folded white lor chair as a possible option.

Speaking softly to Pukk, Bernadette says, "Dun tink so."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "Have chair, will heckle."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "If need be he can just hang us again to relieve stress."

Pukk exclaims, "Bernadette the spike god!"

Leafiara amusedly says, "I'm not heckling. He's still better than Amos."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Political discourse may have something of the theatrical about it, but it is not slapstick."

Kiyna says, "I'm not here to heckle, either. I'll see him in court."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia exclaims, "Oh did you see what Kayse made me!"

Lithyia quietly says, "I might be here to heckle...."

Leafiara says, "Not sure if I have any questions for him either, but happy to listen."

Leafiara says, "At least I believe what he says."

[General] Pukk thinks, "No sticks...just tomatoes."

[General] Crimsoneve asks, "No chair throwing?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "It will go something like this:"

Leafiara bursts out in laughter, snorting clear water through her nose.

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk says, "That was a great Thaddy impression."

Speaking suddenly to Dergoatean, Leafiara says, "Oh, I see now, trick me with the water and then get me snorting it out."

Speaking to Pukk, Dergoatean exclaims, "I've worked on it for... seconds!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "Very elegant."

Lithyia quietly says, "I do hope he likes these socks..."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Evia says, "Now do you have a funny Pukky impression..."

Lithyia says, "I have a note to accompany them...but that is for his eyes only."

Speaking to Evia, Dergoatean says, "Bad joke bad joke baaaad joke."

Thyrabos says, "I wonder what you plan to do with them."

You notice Kiyna slip into a hiding place.

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk exclaims, "You did it perfect!"

Leafiara amiably says, "Needs some work, Kiyna."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk exclaims, "You really are good at those things!"

Leafiara says, "Like this, though Pukk will see me."

The voice of Kayse amusedly says, "I just told her that."

The voice of Leafiara surprisedly says, "Oh, more than just him."

Speaking to Pukk, Dergoatean says, "I know my share of bad jokes."

The voice of Kayse says, "That was also horrible, Leafi."

The voice of Leafiara says, "I lost my touch."

The voice of Leafiara says, "One moment."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk says, "Bad puns will also suffice."

A town clerk's voice shouts in the distance, "The Town Hall with Thadston shall begin in about ten minutes inside the Assembly Room of Moot Halll!"

The voice of Leafiara amusedly says, "Yes, I know you would."

Kiyna points at Leafiara, ruining her hiding place.

Speaking to Pukk, Dergoatean says, "Those are never very punny."

Kelfyr says, "Ten minute warning."

The voice of Kayse offers, "Maybe he will bring his own chair to throw."

Chandrellia exclaims, "I need to refil my snifter!"

Pukk says, "Maybe he will resort to throwing dwarves and gnomes first."

Pukk says, "Maybe halflings."

Chandrellia says, "I have a heavy quartz orb he can throw."

Kelfyr says, "I do hope the clerk knows he has to bring his own desk in."

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk says, "Better hide."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kayse says, "Filled."

Speaking to Kiyna, Kayse asks, "Do what?"

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia exclaims, "Thank you!"

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk says, "One positive thing about being hung for you is that you look a couple inches taller."

Pukk says, "I'm sure of it."

Faiyth exclaims, "Bring forth the hard liquor!"

The voice of Kayse speculates, "Magic?"

Faiyth asks, "And cookies... been to 3 of these and STILL no cookies!?"

Lithyia says, "I took a nap earlier...it was a terrible idea."

[General] Essital thinks, "S3x is better."

Kayse grabs a small wicker basket from a large pocket inside of her onyx leather jacket.

Kayse taps something in a small wicker basket.

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk exclaims, "You're not a real Rook! You phony!"

Placing the basket on the ground, Kayse gives it a little prod and then stands back. Over the course of several minutes, the basket transforms into a cloth-covered table laid with a spread of food. Once done, she places the basket under the table.

Kayse taps a soft-baked cinnamon spiced sugar-sprinkled cookie on a rough oak table.

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia exclaims, "Wait I can prove I am!"

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia asks, "Does that count?"

Speaking to Tikba, Kelfyr says, "Sit anywhere you like."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "Okay. So the cat is a Rook..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "At least at the Rook meetings we also had chocolate milk."

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "I know where to get chocolate milk."

Stormyrain exclaims, "Oh!"

Leafiara approvingly says, "Good stuff."

Dergoatean just went through a louvered door.

Leafiara yells, "Wrong door, Goat!"

Kayse offers Stormyrain a decanter of reddish-gold brandy etched with thorned vines.

Stormyrain accepts Kayse's reddish-gold brandy.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Kayse says, "That is good."

Through a louvered door, you hear Dergoatean yell, "I just need a moment!"

Through a louvered door, you hear Dergoatean yell, "I'll come out of the closet soon!"

Leafiara yells, "Gotcha!"

Lithyia says, "I suppose i'll finish up this gift for the Mayor."

Lithyia busily knits away at something with her knitting needles, the task taking up her complete attention.

With a satisfied nod, Lithyia finishes her knitting. She adds a few final touches, leaving her with a pair of knitted snowy yellow angora socks.

Speaking to Leafiara, Kelfyr says, "I wouldn't put it past him having a meeting with some cave gnomes."

Speaking to Lithyia, Erienne says, "So nice and thoughtful of you."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara agrees, "Me neither."

Lithyia says, "Hm yes, Lithyia the thoughtful."

Tayler asks, "If there are no chairs, what do you figure the odds are he throws Irval out the window?"

Speaking to Tayler, Chandrellia asks, "Can we take bets?"

Kialeigh says, "No one can pickup Irval..."

Tikba amusedly says, "Irval is not whom I would expect to leave abruptly."

Ancelyna quietly says, "I would say chances are slightly higher."

Speaking to Kialeigh, Chandrellia says, "Ok I'll be sure to mention that to Thadston."

Dergoatean just came through a louvered door.

Dergoatean says, "Ahem."

Speaking to Kayse, Lylia says, "To your health."

Kialeigh exclaims, "Prove me wrong!"

Lylia raises her glass of white absinthe in a toast!

Kayse raises her Tehir spiced coffee in a toast!

Speaking to Kialeigh, Chandrellia says, "We'll see."

Speaking wryly to Lylia, Kayse says, "Might not be a good thing to drink to as of late."

Chandrellia exclaims, "Hey who brought the table!"

Kiyna says, "...Now I kind of want a bench, though. I blame Thadston."

Pukk says, "See, because of Thaddy. We can't have good things."

Lithyia says, "Pardon me a moment."

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "Better make sure that tab;e is really secured."

Kialeigh exclaims, "Where's Christie? She won a chair and we could all sit on her lap!"

Leafiara says, "I'm guessing Thadston would have preferred the benches still be here, to be honest."

Speaking softly to Kialeigh, Davenas asks, "There's a lap to sit in?"

Leafiara says, "Ah, well... making do."

Kialeigh asks, "I mean that's the dream right?"

(Leafiara moves to the back to lean against the wall.)

Davenas softly says, "Always is..."

Davenas softly says, "Someday, sometime, someone."

Speaking to Davenas, Kialeigh says, "We need to get Nalbon's ring to debate Pukk's earring.. see who's gargoyle has the most quips."

Speaking softly to Kialeigh, Davenas says, "My money is on Nalbon's ring."

Setting Up

A town clerk arrives and looks for a chair. Nope.

Kialeigh says, "Yeah it's just cutting."

Davenas softly says, "It is."

Speaking amiably to a town clerk, Leafiara says, "Welcome back."

Davenas softly says, "It called me too skinny today."

Speaking to a town clerk, Thrassus says, "Just sit on the floor."

Speaking to a town clerk, Chandrellia says, "Hope you brought your own desk."

Speaking to a town clerk, Kiyna says, "Standing room only, I'm afraid."

Kialeigh says, "It called my skin too flawless."

Bernadette softly says, "Walls er here."

Davenas softly says, "Might be right."

Speaking to a town clerk, Pukk says, "Don't stand too close to Thaddy. He might end up throwing you."

Speaking to a town clerk, Chandrellia says, "Or hanging you."

Ancelyna quietly says, "Is there a bad history with furniture and the person coming to speak? Sorry, rather new to town."

Speaking to Ancelyna, Chandrellia says, "Very much so yes."

Speaking to Ancelyna, Leafiara explains, "He has some throwing habits."

Speaking to Ancelyna, Pukk says, "It's his hobby. He throws funiture."

Speaking to Ancelyna, Erienne says, "Temper tantrums and chair throwing."

Davenas softly says, "Let's forgive the history and consider the words."

Ancelyna quietly says, "Then perhaps i should not be sitting."

Davenas softly says, "As we did last night."

Speaking to Davenas, Chandrellia says, "Lets not and say we did."

Speaking to Pukk, Dergoatean says, "That and embroidering, I hear."

Speaking to Davenas, Erienne says, "History repeats itself and has many times over."

Davenas softly says, "Says you."

Speaking to Davenas, Chandrellia says, "Exactly."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk says, "Ooh that sounds relaxing."

Tikba says, "You must understand the man to understand the words."

Kelfyr says, "There are a number of people here to listen. I hope we can afford the Mayor the same respect we did his opponents in the upcoming election, regardless of circumstances."

Davenas softly says, "Of course, of course, of course."

A town clerk sets up a questions list, tacking it to a wall since there's no tables either.

Lithyia quietly says, "Respect...yes..."

Kelfyr adds his name to the questions list.

Dergoatean says, "He has done an extraordinary amount of good to this town. And quite a bit of bad. Exact amounts depend on who you ask."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Chandrellia says, "Oh I'm just here to listen."

Lithyia adds her name to the questions list.

Leafiara amiably says, "Well, he's got mine."

Tayler says, "I have no idea how that sign got there."

Pukk says, "Smart."

A local townsman derisively says to Tayler, "I've heard better sounds coming from the south end of a cow."

Dergoatean says, "He has occasionally acted very _slightly_ recklessly."

Tayler says, "I'm not even playing anything."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Dergoatean says, "Your river rat looks like a turnup farmer's bounty. Be careful with that."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Kiyna says, "Like I said before, I'm not here to heckle. I'll see him in court. We'll settle our differences there."

Speaking uncertainly to Tayler, Tikba says, "Perhaps he heard you playing earlier, and waited to give you his opinion til now."

Pukk says, "Sounds about right."

Leafiara says, "I don't even have any differences with him. He... might not necessarily feel the same toward me."

Lithyia says, "I simply have a gift for him."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "He just wanted to make sure your neck didn't cramp up anymore."

Lithyia says, "And no, it is not my knitting needle dagger."

Chandrellia says, "Nope, I shrugged off what he did, moments after. I actually think its quite funny."

Kialeigh asks, "You brought yer own!?"

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "You could shrug? I was still a little stiff."

Davenas softly says, "Never trust someone to make your drink for you, father always said."

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "I couldnt shrug, my head just kind of wobbled from side to side so it looked like I shrugged."

Pukk says, "I see."

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia exclaims, "My unicorn will love you for this!"

Tikba whispers something to Kayse.

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kayse offers, "Take as much as you like."

Tayler says, "Tyrrax's vodka on the table, by the way."

Kayse whispers something to Tikba.

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia says, "He is ssooo picky, and its so hard to find good sweet treats for him."

Speaking to Tayler, Leafiara considers, "Hmm, I normally don't drink anything nearly that strong, but..."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Kayse says, "I have ice cream sandwiches too....somewhere..."

Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia says, "Never tried those with him."

Erienne asks, "Only two people have questions?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Tayler says, "It's made with black currants, it's really quite good."

Evia says, "They're busy filling the air with yick yack."

I would therefore like to ask what you believe must be done about the reivers' depredations, and do you make a distinction between splinter factions among them?"

Lylia confesses, "That is two questions, really. I cheated a bit."

Thadston says, "Yes, there's a distinction, in some regard."

Thadston says, "The reivers of the village, they are our enemies if they choose to be. I haven't even heard of them near our gates in decades."

Thadston says, "The Ember Vale? We are at war with them."

Leafiara slowly ssay, "So... orb protocol. Always be ready to grab one and run. First thing I tried was pulling back to a sanctuary to ensure no one got harmed, but no magic in the room at the time... but it'll suffice when magic is available."

Thadston says, "I'll be hunting them down. Get everyone up."

Speaking quietly to Lylia, Ancelyna asks, "Is this something i should expect on a normal basis being here in the Landing?"

In this large assembly room meetings are convened to deal with the affairs of the town, and the locals hold their religious and social events. Sconces for torches, chandeliers holding many candles, and broad windows impart a warm, friendly glow of good fellowship to this space. The entire room has been completely emptied out of all wooden benches, tables, and chairs. You also see a cookie-shaped pink sapphire, a cookie-shaped selanthan bloodjewel, the Kialeigh disk, a lion-shaped diamond, the Tayler disk, a cookie-shaped blue sapphire, the web-draped Missoni disk, an uncut diamond, the Ancelyna disk, the Evia disk, a rotting modwir coffer, a badly damaged maoral strongbox, the Stormyrain disk, a rough oak table with some stuff on it, a louvered door and a double door.

Ancelyna quietly says, "It rolled in, i rolled out."

Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "It's always worth the effort."

Perigourd asks, "I take it those spheres have been used before?"

Dergoatean says, "And sometimes that's a villain, too."

Speaking to Kiyna, Tikba says, "A hero is someone who is willing to do what must be done."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Perhaps you, Kayse, Kiyna, Pukk and myself were the actual targets if teh Remnants were targeting Rooks."

Speaking to Perigourd, Dergoatean says, "Yes, over the years."

Dergoatean indicates a small crimson glass orb as a possible option.

Perigourd says, "Ah."

Dergoatean says, "Usually by rooks, I'd say."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pukk says, "We cleared out the trash and that is what they are. We don't want to follow those extreme ways. We want to defend."

Kialeigh says, "Let's just keep calling him Stud."

Speaking softly to Kialeigh, Davenas asks, "Did it work earlier?"

[General] Irval thinks, "I hear ya, but taking a Rook at their word when you all lied openly and put gloves on as it were with dealing with the Rooks, as it is obvious now , for the lack of crack downs on them in prior history was due to the councils own relationship to the syndicate. Well lets put your coins where your mouth is and see you take down these Remants."

Kiyna says, "The Rooks of today are not the Rooks of before. Those are out calling themselves Remnants now. We called them that at first, but they've taken to it."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Killed thirty of 'em in one night on my own. If they send more, I'll do it again."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Evia says, "No disrepect intended, but the organization had a very bad reputation. Change it in whole, but staying "rook" will always ring a dire tone with many."

Speaking to Evia, Kiyna says, "Many feel the same way about the Empire. It is an unfair way to think, on both sides."

Speaking to Evia, Chandrellia says, "On that we agree, the past orginixation had a very bad reputation, and I am sure it will take a long time to help correct, but it has to start some place or it never gets done."

[General] Kayse reticently thinks, "An emotional reaction that will soon be shown how wrong it was not for only making assumptions but because it hung innocent citizens."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Far too chaotic for my tastes. But when I see some of these self-appointed arbiters of justice acting in such a fashion, I find alternatives more appetizing."

[General] Pukk thinks, "I'm not going to wait for the invoker. I'm too sleepy. Dying is too much work."

Leafiara says, "Do take care, all. We'll root them out."

Lylia says, "A crimson orb saved my life once."

[General] Pukk exclaims, "Good night all. Dodge those orbs!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "Guess I have to get mine out of my locker eh?"

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara asks, "Your what?"

Chandrellia says, "My crimson orb, I found one once, at DR in teh arena."

Leafiara says, "Oh, those."

Chandrellia says, "I kept it."

Faiyth says, "Good, the excitement is over and I didn't even break my cookie."

[General] Kiyna thinks, "So, Irval, you don't mind when citizens are executed without trial? Your arrow in the neck is the same, yes. Looks like you were judged also? Nothing to complain about, then."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "Could be a good bluff in the dark." [OOC note: the Duskruin orbs are the same color and shape, but don't have the same effect.]

Speaking to Tayler, Lylia says, "It truly did. 'Rone' attempted to abduct me, and I threatened to detonate it and take him out along with the surrounding crowd. It was a gamble; I enjoyed winning."

[General] Pukk thinks, "That was the night the candles were blown out in Landin, the night they hung an innocent man."

Leafiara says, "Quite a night. Again, do take care, all."

Lylia admits, "Then again, I usually do enjoy winning."
