Scrying bowl

Scrying bowls are an older scrying item that has been sold at various Ebon Gate festivals over the years, including at Velathae and Evermore Hollow. They have occasionally been available outside of Ebon Gate events, including Frontier Days. Most recently they are sold at Ebon Gate at Entranced.

Scrying bowls are a scripted divination prop. Unlocking a scrying bowl expands access to the types of visions possible. Water is added to the bowl to see the visions held within. The water added is part of the script itself and you do not need to provide a secondary container with water to make it work.

Analyze

You analyze the silver scrying bowl and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item has restrictions on changing the noun."

The creator has also provided the following information:

This silver scrying bowl is a fluff RP tool for generating random visions. It is tier 1 of 3. Higher tiers provide additional visions.

Water the bowl to fill it with water (from an assumed flask).
Turn the bowl over to pour the water back into the flask.
Look at the bowl to see if it is filled or empty.
Touch the bowl to peform a little ritual of resonance.
Gaze at the bowl to evoke a new vision.

The item can be altered as long as it remains a "scrying bowl" and references to its material do not indicate that its surface is not reflective. Long descriptions are allowed, but show descriptions are not.

You get no sense of whether or not the bowl may be further lightened.
