Knuckle-blade
The knuckle-blade is essentially, a knuckle-duster type brawling weapon with a thin, two to three inch deep blade that runs across the knuckles. It is employed most often in a slashing attack, but will also do crush critical damage. Versions mounting a thicker blade can also be used with a punching motion. Even though it is a bit more effective than either the knuckle-duster or the closed fist, it has limited appeal for brawling practitioners.
The knuckle-blade is one of several Brawling weapons suitable for use with unarmed combat attacks. When used in conjunction with unarmed combat, its function changes from a weapon to an item of equipment. Held in the attacker's hand, it provides a .050 damage factor bonus and a -10 Multiplier Modifier penalty to all Jab, Punch and Grapple attacks. Holding a knuckle-blade in each hand will double the DF bonus and MM penalty.
Any additional properties, such as enchant bonus, flares or weighting, will be activated with these attacks.
