Sylvirria Azarielle was one of three emissaries of Gosaena, alongside Maluverre Sil'Andruthile and Volierre. She was a member of a longstanding Illistim cult dedicated to Gosaena. She was an exceptional cartographer, and her skills served her well within the cult. During this time, she met Maluverre, who was also a member; the two fell in love. She eventually revealed to him that she had been searching for the site of one of Gosaena's first temples, which was believed to predate the elven empire. After a significant breakthrough in her research, she left alone to find it.

In the time that had passed in her quest to find the temple, Maluverre had taken on the role of the cult's spiritual leader. When Sylvirria returned, she was changed. She had become the Advent - the one who would see the death of all things and the mad dance of fate's strings upon the world. Her vision was the vision of all those who quietly lead souls to their final death. She had black feathered wings that had grown from her back, and she was plagued with visions of the future. She acted erratically and with a destructive power that was alarming. When she refused to divulge the location of the hidden temple, members of the cult attempted to assassinate her, yet were ultimately unable to do so even as she stood there waiting for an arrow to pierce her that could cause her no harm. Instead, she was imprisoned within a crystal, where she was held in stasis for many years. Maluverre himself entombed her within it, though given their shared past, he could not bare to continue in his role and stepped down as the cult's leader.

After eventually locating and visiting the temple himself, Maluverre, who also gained unusual powers when he became the Keeper of the Present, was able to secret away Sylvirria's crystal, which he hid in his basement. Able to hide in plain sight, both Maluverre and Sylvirria escaped the grasp of the cult for centuries. During that time, Sylvirria remained in stasis within the crystal. Maluverre would try to awaken her time and time again, but to no effect. Eventually, he stopped trying.

And so she remained until Volierre surfaced in 5104. He, too, had visited the hidden temple and returned changed, though his role was that of the Foundation. Acting on orders of the same cult of Gosaena, Volierre was also bound by his role to seek out both Maluverre and Sylvirria. When he found Maluverre in Solhaven, the two went to where Sylvirria was still imprisoned in the crystal, beneath Maluverre's home in Ta'Illistim, and Volierre was able to finally awaken her. Volierre insisted that the three must complete the ritual that each had started independently of one another so many years before, but Sylvirria stopped him and said that, before anything else was done, she wanted to spend her last remaining time as a mortal to stop what she had foreseen.

Sylvirria took wing to the sky and, wielding two scythes of black and white, utterly destroyed the undead and demonic armies that were sweeping across Elanthia in the final days of the Griffin Sword Saga. The armies had been sent by the Dark Alliance as its leaders prepared to finish their full corruption of the reassembled Griffin Sword from within their sanctuary. Upon returning to Maluverre and Volierre, Sylvirria agreed to finally complete the ritual - which was intended to raise one of them as an Angel of Gosaena, destined for the Void. Sylvirria was the one fated for that role. Before she left, the ritual completed, she gave a silver sickle to an adherent of neutrality, Charna Ja'Varrel'Kav, which was used scant hours later to destroy the Griffin Sword.
