Synopsis

A cloaked figure goes to Helga's for a drink and local adventurers try to chat with him, but, after vaguely intimating that it's been a while since he's been in Wehnimer's Landing, he says he's there on business and it's none of theirs. He watches a stage singer named Ely and gets advice on an inn to stay at, then leaves to find it.

Log

Cloaked Figure

Rain clouds completely cover the sky.

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a pretty flower girl, the Redimption disk, the lattice-woven wicker Ephah disk interspersed with origami florals, the Vav disk, some manna bread, a rose-marrow potion, some manna bread, a pale green glass bottle, a rose-marrow potion, a rose-marrow potion, a rose-marrow potion, a rose-marrow potion, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin, a round silver-banded barrel, a trail of aster-wreathed silver hedgehogs leading southwest, a pair of tall carved modwir poles supporting a festively painted banner and a path of particolored asters leading southeast.

Ranvelar says, "Hm."

Ranvelar says, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Leafiara curiously asks, "A bad feeling about what?"

Vaemyr says, "Nothing like a bit of summer rain."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Rain stop already?"

Vaemyr says, "There was some wind just now."

Vaemyr says, "Looks pretty rainy up there still."

Aerocus says, "Was rainin by the docks a minute ago."

An officer of the Sorcerer Guild arrives and glances around. "Ah, there you are, Vaemyr!" he says in a slightly agitated tone. "I have come to formally declare that your membership privileges have been revoked." He then makes a note on his parchment and leaves.

Thin strings of lightning thrash across the sky as a warm summer rain soaks the cobblestones and rooftops of Wehnimer's Landing.

Vaemyr winces.

Ranvelar says, "Wow."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Need me invite ye Vaemyr?"

Vaemyr says, "Oops."

[General] Aerocus asks, "Anyone wanna unlock the ballista just in case?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Vaemyr says, "Nah they'll just accept me back when I go give them money."

Ranvelar says, "There's just something distinctly ominous about this rainfall."

Speaking drunkenly to Vaemyr, Gutstorm says, "Mebbe me want yoo money."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Vaemyr says, "I'm too poor, Leafi took it all already."

[General] Xildyne asks, "Invasion happening?"

Ranvelar says, "The weather's angry at me, again."

Several merchants walk by, handing out dozens of promissory notes and baskets of gifts to a line of townspeople showing off their Sorcerer's Guild membership badges. The merchants help every last person in line, then look around, as if waiting for someone, then shrug and walk off.

Vaemyr laughs!

WOMP WOMP.

Vaemyr says, "Perhaps they should pay the councilors."

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm says, "Make shore dat make it in da paper."

Ephah says, "Oookkk."

Leafiara amusedly says, "Oh, I will."

[General] Nurina thinks, "The storm seems to be lulling a lot of mobs to sleep...I'm tip-toeing by a bunch of sleeping ogres at the moment."

Redimption says, "Man."

Redimption says, "Ya'll gonna make me wake up the wife."

Ranvelar says, "The storm wants us to sacrifice him."

Ranvelar points at Vaemyr.

Redimption says, "She is grumpy and she's not even awake yet."

Leafiara considers, "Well, that could be arranged..."

Vaemyr says, "I don't think I'd make a good sacrifice."

Ranvelar says, "I didn't walk in here with the notion that a storm would demand a human sacrifice. But... here we are."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Hey, me been wanted Vaemyr execution ever shinch he shided wit Amos."

Redimption taps a perfect hickory-hafted invar maul, which is in his right hand.

Redimption says, "Hey wake up."

A heavily-cloaked figure marches down the street, pulling the hood close to his face to avoid the rain.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Wunner wish shtreet he walkin down." [a couple of hours earlier, Guts had reported being knocked down on South Ring Road and a heavily-cloaked figure pushing past him]

Gutstorm works his fingers under his dancing flame crown and scratches his head.

Kiyna asks, "Someone come through?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Earlier, me got mugged."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Kiyna says, "You get mugged every day by your drink."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Well dish time it not of me own doonin."

Gutstorm sticks out his tongue.

Kiyna grins.

Vaemyr says, "I dunno, seems like about time your drink fought back against that abuse."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "It was on... South Ring Road? I guess we could look, but..."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Yeah."

[everyone goes and looks, but finds nothing and returns to TSC]

Leafiara exclaims, "No more luck than last time!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "Seems so."

Ouidanna exclaims, "Ready!"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Velnalin got pretty far in town."

Jara says, "Oh no."

Jara says, "I'm so silly."

Jara says, "I tried to get an unlocked box opened at the locksmith tower. They looked at me like I hit my head."

Jaffrey says, "They would."

Guennwhfar says, "You need to ask me."

Jaffrey asks, "Did you argue with them?"

Jara says, "Ahh."

Speaking to Guennwhfar, Jara asks, "Would you mind?"

Guennwhfar says, "Oh thought you wanted evasion."

A heavily-cloaked figure moves up a shaky wooden stairway outside of Helga's tavern.

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "To helga's!"

Vaemyr says, "Hmm."

Guennwhfar asks, "Where from?"

In Town for Business

[Helga's Tavern, Barroom]

The blended odors of ale, sweat, leather, perfume and hearty stew fill the stifling air of the tavern. Disheveled regulars and road-weary travelers rub elbows at the wooden bar, which looks recently varnished but already bears a variety of stains and grime. Helga, the ancient, obese proprietor, moves behind the bar, wiping glasses with a dirty towel as she keeps a beady eye on the patrons. A small fireplace in one corner burns feebly, adding little light or warmth to the room. You also see a tattered menu, a set of swinging doors, a huge cast iron stewpot, an overturned creel and Helga.

Also here: Ayenir, Vargath who is sitting on a wooden bar stool

Vaemyr and Gutstorm followed.

You see Vargath.
He appears to be a Human.
He is talll. He appears to be very young. He has cold dark brown eyes and tanned skin. He has a bald head. He has a weathered face, a crooked nose and a broad chest and shoulders. A ring of old scars in the shape of a crown have been burnt into the flesh of his head.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a tankard of Golden Fox mead in his right hand.
He is wearing a crystal amulet, a hooded large wolfskin greatcloak, a dented stained white shield, a hardened leather backpack, some studded ashen leathers, an ornate gold-inlaid sheath, a fur-trimmed canvas pouch, a pair of wolfskin pants, and a pair of heavy black boots.

Gutstorm waves to Vargath.

Aerocus asks, "Who's buyin?"

Vargath glances at Gutstorm.

Vargath nods.

Leafiara quickly says, "Not it."

Ayenir says, "Not it."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Kiyna says, "Not it."

Aerocus says, "Not it."

Gutstorm removes a mug of Blackdew grog from on a stained wooden bar.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Drink wot on da bar."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Vargath nods to Helga.

Speaking drunkenly to Vargath, Gutstorm asks, "Yoo new round ere?"

Vargath says, "I might as well be."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Speaking drunkenly to Vargath, Gutstorm introduces, "Me da King of dish town, Gutstorm."

Aerocus says, "Damn fine goverment worker there."

Leafiara muses, "Well... yeah, the town does change a great deal in a short time..."

Gutstorm takes a drink from his Blackdew grog.

Vargath smirks at Gutstorm.

Vargath says, "Only one King matters."

Vargath shrugs.

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Gutstorm grunts in agreement.

Kiyna offers, "I'd argue no kings matter. To each their own."

Vargath says, "Surprised to see some rain. I just arrived today, things looked pretty bad, like you haven't seen a drop for months."

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir asks, "What brings you to town?"

Vargath says, "Business."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Lasht fink ta fall from da shky wadda elf, den before dat shum shnow."

Speaking to Vargath, Vaemyr says, "We do see to go through some cycles of serious weather paterns and droughts."

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir asks, "What kind of business are you in?"

Speaking to Vargath, Kiyna agrees, "The end of the drought is welcome news, yes."

Vargath asks, "Little forward, don't you think?"

Vargath peers quizzically at Ayenir.

Ayenir shrugs at Vargath.

Vargath says, "My business is none of yours."

Vargath nods at Ayenir.

Ayenir takes a bite of his roast rolton sandwich.

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir says, "Fair enough, I suppose."

Ayenir says, "To each their own."

Ayenir shrugs.

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Kiyna removes a rolton shank from in her white silk mantle.

Vargath shrugs at Ayenir.

Speaking to Helga, Kiyna asks, "How's this for the stew?"

Helga slaps Kiyna's hand away with a growl.

Speaking to Leafiara, Ayenir says, "I don't believe he'll be buying a round."

Kiyna shrugs.

Leafiara gazes in amusement at Kiyna.

Leafiara nods knowingly at Ayenir.

Speaking to Vargath, Vaemyr says, "Might I ask how things are going for you in town so far? I would be interested in the new folks coming in being one of the councilors of the town."

Helga nods to Vargath and says, "Here! And you better not spill it either!"

With a flurry of movements, Helga produces a tankard of Golden Fox mead and places it on the wooden bar.

Vargath removes a tankard of Golden Fox mead from on a stained wooden bar.

Speaking drunkenly to Kiyna, Gutstorm says, "It not shtew until she put her finger in it."

Vargath offers Ayenir a tankard of Golden Fox mead.

Ayenir accepts Vargath's Golden Fox mead.

Aerocus says, "I dun think anyone has eaten that stew in years...."

Vargath asks, "You're a councilor?"

Vargath peers quizzically at Vaemyr.

Ayenir raises his Golden Fox mead in a toast!

Aerocus says, "Not sure why she makes it."

Helga slaps Kiyna's hand away from the pot and says, "That don't go in my stew!"

Vaemyr nods at Vargath.

Vargath nods at Ayenir.

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir says, "Thank you."

Vargath turns toward Ayenir and renders a sharp salute with his Golden Fox mead.

Kiyna put a rolton shank in her white silk mantle.

Speaking amusedly to Kiyna, Leafiara says, "I appreciate the effort."

Ayenir takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "I tried."

Speaking to Vargath, Vaemyr says, "Councilor Vaemyr, at your service."

Vaemyr bows to Vargath.

Vargath says, "Don't make a promise you can't keep councilor."

Vaemyr squints at Vargath.

Speaking drunkenly to Vaemyr, Gutstorm says, "He nol trusht yhe cuz he prolly heard ye got kicked outta da Guild."

Speaking to Vargath, Vaemyr says, "Not sure what you might be refering to, but I tend to agree with that sentiment."

Leafiara removes a colorful ceramic cookie jar from in her red starsilk pack.

Leafiara removes a fluffy leaf-shaped cookie gracefully flourished with chocolate venation from in her ceramic cookie jar.

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "Hey, gimme one of those."

Aerocus says, "I'ma call it a night."

Aerocus says, "Take it easy peoples."

Leafiara removes a fluffy leaf-shaped cookie gracefully flourished with chocolate venation from in her ceramic cookie jar.

Leafiar offers Kiyna a fluffy leaf-shaped cookie gracefully flourished with chocolate venation.

Kiyna accepts Leafiara's leaf-shaped cookie.

Stage Performance

Speaking drunkenly to Vargath, Gutstorm asks, "Ye git a chance to visht da Regalia Carnvil?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "We hadda parade in town 2 day ago."

Nearby in the pub room, a woman steps up onto the wooden stage and is greeted by the applause of a few patrons at nearby tables. Her hair is long and golden, but full of curls that drape across her shoulders like rolling waves of the first morning glow. Her eyes are carved emeralds, but dark and tired, as she begins to sing to the small crowd.

(Gutstorm holds up 3 fingers.)

Urchin Gutstorm just went west.

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Urchin Gutstorm just arrived.

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara asks, "She any good?"

Vargath glances towards the stage, letting out a small, brief grin.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "She cute."

Urchin Gutstorm just went west.

Kiyna appreciatively says, "...That's a lovely timbre."

[Helga's, Pub Room]

The narrow, dimly lit room is cluttered with rickety, ale-stained tables and chairs. Candle stubs mounted in earthenware ale flasks offer the only light, their yellowish glow making the room seem more decrepit than it actually is. Several dockworkers converse around a table in hushed voices, between sips of grog and puffs of strong pipe tobacco. A low wooden stage, no more than a small platform, stands at the far end of the room.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Urchin Gutstorm who is sitting on a wooden chair, Ariavistus

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me think she change her coshtume."

Vargath just arrived.

Vargath sits down at the ale-stained table.

Gutstorm yells, "Bring out Goldie!"

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir asks, "Can I get you something to eat?"

The woman upon stage glances outward, her smile seemingly stretching slightly at the sight of an expanding crowd. Someone from a nearby table shouts, "Ely! Ely!" The woman continues singing, her gaze at times drifting off to capture a distant object or memory.

Speaking drunkenly to Ayenir, Gutstorm says, "Me take rolton sammich."

Vargath grins.

Vargath looks over at Ayenir and shakes his head.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "No tell Meril."

Vargath says, "I'm fed."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

(Gutstorm chants Ely! Ely!)

Vargath watches the woman on stage, sipping more of his mead as the performer's song continues.

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Yoo come here ferda drinks erda wiminz, Vargath?"

Gutstorm raises an eyebrow in Vargath's direction.

Vargath asks, "How did you know my name?"

Vargath peers quizzically at Gutstorm.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Helga told me, she say yoo bought dem drinks onna bar."

Gutstorm whistles tunelessly to himself.

Vargath says, "I came here for business."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Well me hope yoo not in cahoot wit Amos, he will rob ye blind."

Gutstorm knowingly grunts.

Vargath says, "If I understood your question right. It sounds like your tongue is the three sizes too much for your mouth little runt."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Vaemyr over here werk fer him."

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir asks, "Anything I could help you with?"

Gutstorm sticks out his tongue and lets loose with a loud, "Thbtbtbtbt" from his lips!

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "No, me tunb ish jush fine."

Vargath says, "A good inn recommendation, with quiet rooms, and none of those."

Vargath points at Gutstorm.

Vargath peers quizzically at Ayenir.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Shilvergate Inn kinda quiet, jush avoid da Jungle Room."

Leafiara admits, "I was just about to agree with Silvergate Inn. They do keep better watch of their keys than most, at least..."

Speaking to Vargath, Kiyna says, "He's a pain, but he's right. You could do far worse than Silvergate."

Speaking to Vargath, Ayenir says, "I'm a fan of the Wayside Inn myself, just outside the gates."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Silvergate's probably the best inn in town I'd think."

The woman moves slowly on the stage, taking up a forlorn song, her voice perhaps once more beautiful than it is now, but still it holds a haunting tone. Several drunks at a nearby table find it almost mesmerizing, completely torn from their mugs and now fixated on the woman's movements and words.

Speaking drunkenly to Ayenir, Gutstorm says, "Wot me no like about da Wayside ish da town lawsh are enforced dere."

Vargath says, "Outside is good."

Speaking to Ayenir, Kiyna says, "Wayside's also good. A bit noisier. Not as noisy as the Cutlass, but still."

Vargath nods at Ayenir.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Hmmmm."

Vargath watches the woman again, his cold eyes regarding her movements, and those at nearby tables.

Speaking drunkenly to Vargath, Gutstorm says, "Yoo look like da feller who knock me down earlier."

Gutstorm suspiciously grunts at Vargath.

Vargath asks, "Oh, did I?"

Gutstorm whispers something to Leafiara.

Gutstorm grunts at Vargath and nods.

Vargath says, "I don't recall. The streets were crowded, I had just arrived. It's been awhile."

Vargath pushes himself away from the ale-stained table and stands up.

Vargath dusts Gutstorm off.

Gutstorm grunts at Vargath his thanks.

Vargath says, "Unless you tripped, if your feet are comparable to your tongue."

Vargath shrugs.

Vargath sits down at the ale-stained table.

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Jara asks, "Have you heard this performer before?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Coulda happen BUT, ye tole me to "Moof ye runt" den ye shoved me, like if ye try to pick me pocket."

Gutstorm appears to be checking his pockets for something, but finds them empty.

Vargath smirks.

Speaking to Gutstorm, Kiyna says, "Why would anyone try to pick your pockets? More like to be bitten by whatever's in them."

Speaking drunkenly to Kiyna, Gutstorm says, "He not knowed dat."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Ayenir says, "That's quite the accusation."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Ayenir asks, "Are you missing anything?"

The woman continues to sing, moving now to a new tune, more upbeat, trying to draw the focus and attention of several drunkards at a table. She moves closer to their table, smiling as she deftly slides a jar onto an empty chair next to them and the men chuckle and begin to fill it with several coins.

Speaking drunkenly to Ayenir, Gutstorm says, "Jusht me pride."

Vargath takes a drink from his Golden Fox mead.

Vargath asks, "Wayside, you say?"

Vargath peers quizzically at Ayenir.

Ayenir agrees with Vargath.

Vargath nods.

Vargath says, "I'll find it. Thanks. Now you earned your drink."

Vargath pushes himself away from the ale-stained table and stands up.

Ayenir raises his Golden Fox mead in a toast!

Vaemyr says, "Tis right ooutside the north gate, can't really miss it."

Vargath watches the singing woman once more, then the crowd, then Gutstorm, and turns to leave.

Speaking to Vargath, Kiyna says, "Rest well."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Dont git to comfy, me feel ye not gonna stay long!"

Vargath says, "You're all very talkative without saying much. Seems somethings never change."

Vargath twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Speaking to Vargath, Vaemyr asks, "That tends to be pretty usual for talk at a bar?"

Vargath finishes off his mead, belches slightly, then without further word or fanfare, walks out of the tavern.

Discussion Afterward

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "We need to chase him off, he upta no good."

Jara says, "What an odd fellow."

Leafiara says, "Eh, I like him."

Kiyna says, "He's the one who shot down any attempt at conversation beyond small talk."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "He pushed me down Leafi!"

Ayenir says, "He bought me a drink, I like him."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Dat no way to treat da king."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "As long as he isn't a fanatic."

Leafiara reasons, "To be fair, my standards have gotten significantly lower ever since you know who moved in."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me gonna hafta have Blade haffa talk wittem."

Ayenir asks, "Seems like he knew a fair amount about the town, although he perhaps hadn't been here for a while?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Just remind me to let ye know me wad right when me ish right."

Speaking offhandedly to Kiyna, Leafiara says, "Anyway, that wasn't his criticism... he was saying people talk too much, but the sentences have little meaning."

The woman continues a new song for several minutes, much to the joy of another new table now. She smiles, eyes drawing the gaze and smiles of several patrons, but she never gets too close, only when moving her tip jar around. After two more songs, the woman retakes the stage, bowing slightly, her hair unfurling like a curtain of gold, and she exits the stage while the patrons quickly forget her and return to their drinks.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Leafi giff her some coin? me good fer it."

Vaemyr says, "When did she start singing here."

Leafiara adds, "At least I think it was supposed to be a criticism.."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "Well, what meaning to impart to someone you know nothing about? If I knew the manner of his business, I could perhaps help him more."

Vaemyr asks, "Maybe one of the Revelia Carnivale performers in town?"

Jara says, "The importance of another's words varies between individuals though."

Ayenir asks, "Do you think the two are acquainted?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me unner shtand wanting to keep bushinish private, but even more so when it shady and da elligal kind, am no trush him."

Leafiara says, "He seemed to be returning from a long absence, but..."

Jara says, "He had history with the lass on stage."

Leafiara relents, "Well, 'but' nothing. I don't have any particular thoughts on him at the moment."

Speaking drunkenly to Jara, Gutstorm says, "Me thot shame thing."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "We need ta keep tab on Ely, mebbe she can tell ush about our new guesht."

Jara says, "Seemed a bit reserved when I asked."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Vaemyr says, "Not sure they know each other, he seemed to be pretty fresh in town."

Ayenir asks, "Do you believe she perhaps entered town with him?"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Dunno, but am gonna git to bottom offit."

Ayenir says, "Suppose we could ask Helga when this lass started performing."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "No one push me down and call me runt unless dey me brudder!"

Speaking to Ayenir, Vaemyr says, "Ehhh that seems a little invasive, I'm sure this Ely will preform again, she's quite good at it, and we might can ask then."

Kiyna removes a golden cinnamon apple scone drizzled with caramel icing from in her gold scone box.

Kiyna offers Leafiara a golden cinnamon apple scone drizzled with caramel icing.

Leafiara accepts Kiyna's apple scone.

Rangroth says, "That guy seemed off..."

Speaking appreciatively to Kiyna, Leafiara exclaims, "Thanks!"

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm asks, "If yoo shtill got yoo contactsh wit da yoo know who, kin ye keep tab onnem?"

Kiyna offers, "Anyone else want a scone?"

Ayenir says, "She did have some talent, that is for sure."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "Honestly, I'd be stunned if we don't have eyes on Helga's constantly."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Leafi, iffin me hadda take a guess, he gonna drink shumplace elshe nesht time."

Rangroth says, "Well that one guard seems to be here a lot."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "He da type who dont want attention."

Leafiara adds, "Actually, I've always suspected Helga is a secret member herself, but... well, she would never admit that, of course, nor would I inquire..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "She probably runs her whole own group, the ones that are actually secret."

Leafiara concedes, "That also wouldn't surprise me."

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "I mean the whole rooftop thing was always pretty standoutish."

Leafiara says, "Of all the times to not bring my conspiracy book with me..."

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm asks, "Do me look like a runt?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna says, "The rooftop thing is cool as heck. That's why everyone always copies it. Vampires, gargoyles. But we did it first."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me fraid of heights, good thing am short."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Ayenir asks, "Is Helga required to keep records of who she employs?"

Kiyna insists, "Leafi and I look awesome posed up on the rooftop."

Speaking to Ayenir, Vaemyr says, "Not really."

Vaemyr says, "I believe consortium members do all keep records, but Helga's is not a part of them."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Da only time me go on rooftop, ish to hang me toosh off side to get even witta bird."

Vaemyr says, "Anyways, gonna grab some rest, have a good evening all."

Ayenir says, "Well...I'd drink with him again."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Well ye kin all "like" him if ye want, but fer record, me NEVER wrong."

Ayenir says, "Perhaps he'll open up more after a few more drinks next time."

Ayenir says, "I could use a new business partner."

Speaking drunkenly to Ayenir, Gutstorm says, "Me like way yoo think."

Kiyna declares, "I'd never drink with him."

Leafiara says, "If he's here for evil, so be it. At least he didn't bring a whole barony with him."

Ayenir says, "He seemed nice enough, just a bit guarded."

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm asks, "Wot worse, da evil ye kin see, or da evil ye cant?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "What's worse is the Elidal."

Leafiara nods sagely.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Amos worse."

Speaking amusedly to Ayenir, Kiyna says, "The joke is that I don't drink at all, since I realize it may be lost on you."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Elidal had bad upbringing."

Leafiara says, "Oh, I'll side with Amos over Elidal any time."

Gutstorm gawks at Leafiara.

Leafiara says, "I didn't say Amos isn't a reprehensible piece of filth."

Speaking to Kiyna, Ayenir says, "Oh, I did not realize."

Leafiara mutters, "Still better than Elidal."

Leafiara says, "I hope Amos really fleeced Elidal on that deal for his... digging machine thing..."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Well until the mayor git back, me aint stop being king, and it me dooty to protect town."

Gutstorm raises his fist defiantly.

Leafiara turns to Gutstorm and cheers!
