Synopsis

Fynric announced he's was very excited for this evening over ESP. A stand is set up northeast of TSC with a bunch of free samples of fruit from Verdant Veins. Many take the fruit to sample for consumption or study. Fynric claims that the opening was rushed due to the mayor, Alendrial's townclerk speaking so highly of the fruit--and Alendrial even put in a large order. Kayse questions if the mayor has tried the fruit and Fynric says she has. Kayse also inquires about the side-effects of the fruit which Fynric sums up to the same thrill as a hunt and claims he doesn't want people to become addicted to the produce. He claims the feeling from the fruit is life awakening.

Fynric mentions his wife, Briselle, is resting and Everall asks if she is ill. Fynric replies she is just exhausted from her work. Perigourd asks if Briselle will run out of soil and Fynric assures him she won't. Others also ask questions regarding the soil and produce and are met with evasive answers. Fynric tries to urge Magister Raelee into trying the fruit but she refuses until experiments are done. Townsfolk continually are seen coming back to grab more fruit when it is consumed so quickly.

Previously on KST:

Two days prior, Briselle worked with adventurers to find a location for Verdant Veins brick and mortar location. They settle on a spot next to the bakery in the Darkstone Bay Consortium bazaar.

You glance at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Everall glances at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Perigourd furrows his brow.

You curiously say, "I thought they were opening the stand in the bazaar..."

Stormyrain glances at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Earthdiver sniffs at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Stormyrain asks, "..apparently not?"

Raelee stares at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Perigourd helps himself to a slice of verdant-sheened melon.

Raelee says, "... well."

Monthas helps himself to a slice of verdant-sheened melon.

Stormyrain casually glances at Raelee.

Raelee adds, "At least there will be plenty of samples for analysis now."

Monthas sniffs at his verdant-sheened melon.

Lylia says, "Yes, very exciting news to hear that we shall have visitors from the Basilica."

Thrassus asks, "How did he manage to get permission to put the stand here?"

Perigourd closes his glass case and fiddles with the latch for a moment.

Everall glances suspiciously at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Stormyrain nods slowly at Lylia.

Monthas licks his verdant-sheened melon.

You shrug at Thrassus.

You say, "Last we discussed the other evening it was supposed to be next to the bakery."

Lylia says, "Still no cherries."

Lylia sighs wistfully.

Monthas nods at Lylia.

Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "These are perhaps free samples."

Snowflakes drift to the ground.

Thrassus says, "I know. Hopefully there wasn't any utilateral decisions made on this location."

Everall casually observes his surroundings.

Raelee helps herself to a large smooth verdant-sheened orange.

Delyorik says, "Well, sheesh."

Raelee squints at a large smooth verdant-sheened orange.

Stormyrain leans against the entrance.

Everall glances at Raelee.

Snowflakes drift to the ground.

Raelee gazes at a large smooth verdant-sheened orange intently, taking full advantage of the available light.

Everall glances at a wide dark green fruit stand and rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Lylia blinks.

Everall folds his hands behind his back.

A soft flurry of snowflakes drifts down from the grey skies.

Raelee glances at Perigourd.

You evenly say, "Perhaps setting these out without a sign was not the best idea."

Lord Fynric just arrived.

Fynric pants.

Perigourd nods slowly at Fynric.

Fynric pants.

Fynric says, "Ah! You beat me to it."

Lylia waves to Fynric.

Everall grins at you.

Fynric grins.

Everall nods in agreement to you.

Lylia says, "We could not resist."

You say, "Considering the side effects of eating them."

Everall nods to Fynric in greeting.

Fynric says, "Welcome to the grand soft opening of Verdant Veins."

Stormyrain glances at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Monthas nods to Fynric in greeting.

Fynric asks, "Side effects?"

Stormyrain says, "The placard does say 'naturally enhanced"."

Speaking to Fynric, you say, "Yes, there are a few when you eat this fruit."

Stormyrain squints at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Fynric says, "If delicious and life awakening is a side effect, then guilty."

Fynric chuckles.

Monthas says, "Side effect that I got my hands all sticky."

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Thrassus says, "Technically the placard is correct. Magic is very natural."

Everall gazes with a bemused expression at Fynric.

Drektor stands in front of a wide dark green fruit stand.

Fynric says, "Please, help yourself. The first few batches have been provided by our generous Mayor."

You say, "Labored breathing. Heart racing. I admit there was some... euphoria if you will."

Fynric says, "Which moved up our timeline signifcantly."

Perigourd raises an eyebrow in Fynric's direction.

Lylia grins slowly at Xorus.

Thrassus asks, "The mayor, eh?"

Everall glances suspiciously at Perigourd.

Speaking to Fynric, you say, "So yes, side effects."

Fynric says, "Sounds thrilling. Like a good hunt, without the danger."

Fynric nods to you.

Everall glances suspiciously at Fynric.

Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Raelee glances at you.

Speaking to you, Raelee asks, "How long does it last?"

A sudden gust makes the snow dance and swirl around you.

Fynric nods at Thrassus.

Speaking to Raelee, you say, "Fifteen minutes or so. Dosage doesn't seem to matter."

Fynric says, "I guess Aidan...."

Thrassus says, "That explains how you got to set the stand up here."

Raelee nods slowly to you.

Thrassus grins.

Fynric says, "Alan? Adam."

Fynric says, "Adam."

Fynric says, "Spoke highly of a basket he got from my wife. The Mayor quickly agreed."

You ask, "Has the mayor tried them?"

Monthas says, "Adam, the clerk. I remember him."

Fynric glances at Larysia.

A light flurry of snowflakes drifts down from the grey skies.

Fynric says, "She offered to help leverage some funds to help new businesses. A focus on local growth."

Fynric says, "Something about how the Consortium doesn't control everything."

Lylia lets out a long, contemplative breath.

Raelee glances between Lylia and a large smooth verdant-sheened orange.

Fynric says, "Amen to that."

Stormyrain folds her hands behind her back.

Fynric nods to you.

Everall nods in agreement at Fynric.

Fynric says, "She has, to my knowledge. Put in a large order."

Fynric chuckles.

Fynric says, "I won't say no to that."

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd asks, "Which of them do you like?"

Fynric says, "Life has quite a few twists. Years ago well, from Mother to Mayor. Glad I voted the right way."

Perigourd glances at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Everall turns an inquisitive ear toward Fynric.

Fynric asks, "How do they taste?"

Speaking to Fynric, Everall asks, "Have you not had one?"

Monthas says, "Wonderful. Very juicy."

Drektor whispers something to Stormyrain.

Raelee settles her gaze on Lylia, watching her intently.

Lylia breathes, "Oh, delicious."

Fynric says, "Of course I have. But a customer of one is no business."

Fynric chuckles.

Fynric asks, "Have you?"

Fynric peers quizzically at Everall.

Fynric asks, "Did you get your basket?"

Fynric peers quizzically at Everall.

Lylia gazes admiringly at her surroundings.

Drektor whispers something to Stormyrain.

Speaking to Fynric, Everall says, "I most certainly did. I am presently... fasting."

Everall smiles at Fynric.

Stormyrain nods.

Lylia waves to Leafiara.

Leafiara waves to Lylia.

Leafiara observes her surroundings with a keen eye.

Leafiara glances at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Leafiara rubs her chin thoughtfully.

You inquire, "Is it normal to sense something present or watching you after consuming this fruit?"

Speaking to Fynric, Everall says, "The gesture however, was quite kind of your wife."

You glance at Fynric.

Everall nods appreciatively at Fynric.

Lylia closes her eyes for a moment.

Leafiara ponders.

Fynric nods at Everall.

Speaking to Fynric, Lylia asks, "Have you tried cherries?"

Fynric shrugs at you.

Fynric asks, "Was that your experience?"

Leafiara put some bright red verdant-sheened cranberries in her glass case.

Fynric peers quizzically at you.

Speaking to Fynric, you say, "At the beginning, yes."

Fynric says, "Cherries will be soon enough I am sure."

Fynric nods at Lylia.

Fynric nods to you.

Speaking amusedly to her verdant-sheened apple, Leafiara asks, "Where's Cordarius when we need him?"

Leafiara snickers.

Speaking to Leafiara, Perigourd says, "Perhaps he is among us."

Perigourd casually observes his surroundings.

Speaking skeptically to Leafiara, Raelee asks, "... we need him?"

Speaking to Fynric, you ask, "Is everyone's "experience" different?"

Speaking to Perigourd, Leafiara admits, "Always possible."

Lylia smiles widely in a beatific expression of delight.

Fynric says, "Everyone embraces life a bit differently. Verdant Veins just helps awaken your senses, provide a measure of euphoria and heightened living."

Lylia says, "What wonderful news."

Speaking to Raelee, Leafiara recalls, "Well, he does have experience with fruit, magic, and was even considering growing fruit with magic..."

Leafiara chuckles.

Stormyrain folds her hands behind her back.

Thrassus says, "Mhm."

Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Speaking to Fynric, you suggest, "You should put that on a sign in your shop."

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd asks, "And there are no lasting effects of this experience?"

Fynric says, "Feeling the world more brings no harm to anyone. I think we could debate we all need more slowing down, appreciating things, feeling things more."

Speaking to Perigourd, Earthdiver says, "The poison fruit is delicious."

Fynric grins at you.

Monthas says, "Just tastes like fruit to me. I have not turned into a cat or anything. No side effects.....yet."

Everall nods in agreement at Fynric.

Fynric says, "It passes in time. Until you buy more."

You dismissively say, "I don't have time for that."

Lylia chuckles.

Fynric winks at Perigourd.

You unsuccessfully try to stifle your grin.

Earthdiver says, "I was turned into a frog once."

Earthdiver furrows his brow.

You clarify, "Ong-term effects?"

You correct, "Long-term."

Raelee glances between Fynric and a large smooth verdant-sheened orange.

Fynric says, "See, already your lips are relaxing."

Fynric nods to you.

Fynric chuckles.

Leafiara gazes in amusement at her surroundings.

You roll your eyes.

Perigourd lowers his chin and looks at Everall sternly from beneath his furrowed brows.

Fynric says, "No, no long term effects."

You ask, "How do you know?"

Stormyrain shifts her weight.

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd asks, "How long have you tested it?"

Fynric says, "I'm the founder and a consumer."

Fynric smirks.

Everall begins chuckling at Perigourd!

You ask, "For how long?"

You cock your head at Fynric.

Lylia asks, "What do we consider 'long'?"

Leafiara chuckles.

Fynric says, "Long enough. My wife is also a mage, she has used ways of testing I couldn't even begin to describe to you."

Perigourd glances expectantly at Raelee.

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee asks, "... alchemical?"

Leafiara agrees, "No doubt."

Fynric says, "My life was more cloak and dagger business. Didn't work out."

Leafiara nods slowly.

Fynric shrugs at Raelee.

Fynric says, "Sure."

Stormyrain ponders.

Fynric says, "I'll have to take you to the garden sometime. But it's not ready for visitors yet."

Lylia melodically asks, "Mm, is it cool there?"

Stormyrain murmurs, "All."

Stormyrain just went east.

Perigourd surreptitiously glances east.

Raelee gazes at a large smooth verdant-sheened orange intently, taking full advantage of the available light.

Fynric says, "Plus, my wife needs some rest. So maybe soon. We'll have guests. Maybe a dinner some night. But we're not that big. We could eat outside."

Fynric nods.

Leafiara gazes up into the sky.

Leafiara says, "As long as it's not snowing that night."

Leafiara grins.

Lylia says, "That sounds lovely."

Fynric says, "I should have gone this route years ago."

You offer, "We could set up a tent in the garden to have the dinner party."

You shrug your shoulders indifferently, lifting your wings slightly.

Monthas asks, "Why is a garden not ready for visitors?"

Fynric nods to you.

Fynric says, "Good idea."

Fynric says, "It's just not ready."

Speaking to Monthas, you say, "My garden will never be ready for visitors but it's filled with actual poisonous plants. I assume they will need to visitor-proof the garden so someone doesn't step on something or goes in an area they shouldn't."

Fynric nods at Monthas.

Leafiara gazes in amusement at her surroundings.

Fynric nods to you.

Monthas frowns.

Thrassus says, "Might as well have the dinner in Goblyn's orchard then."

Speaking to you, Raelee murmurs, "... and so the techniques behind growing these fruits are adequately obscured."

Thrassus snickers.

Fynric says, "Can't have you stomping all around, and in many ways, it's like Briselle's workshop."

Leafiara chuckles.

Speaking to Raelee, Perigourd says, "I suspect water, and soil."

You nod briefly at Raelee.

Perigourd nods at Raelee.

You chuckle.

Leafiara snickers.

You glance at a wide dark green fruit stand.

Fynric nods at Raelee.

Fynric says, "Fair assessment."

Raelee nods at Fynric.

Speaking curiously to Fynric, Everall asks, "Lord Fynric, what do you want this business to look like in the future? Do you have any goals for it?"

You dust off a slice of verdant-sheened melon on a wide dark green fruit stand.

Fynric says, "The best chef doesn't just teach you to cook if they want you to keep tasting their stew."

Fynric shrugs at Everall.

Perigourd scratches at his beard.

(Lylia seems to be deeply absorbed in studying the pomegranate in her hand.)

Fynric says, "To be honest, I didn't get that far. I wasn't sure how successful this would be. Especially after we lot the old Talador soil."

You carefully inspect your verdant-sheened melon.

Perigourd furrows his brow.

Fynric says, "But my wife is incredible and resourceful. She made it all work somehow."

Speaking to Fynric, you ask, "How long have you been married?"

Thrassus asks, "Perhaps you could open up a full fruit den once you have enough funds for a building purchase?"

Thrassus snickers.

Fynric says, "Fifteen years now? When was Walkar a councilman? He came to our wedding. Vying for votes probably."

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd asks, "If there is something specific in the soil you're using to grow these.. what will you do when the plants have absorbed it all?"

Fynric chuckles.

Fynric says, "It's been awhile."

Leafiara snickers.

Perigourd raises an eyebrow.

Lylia nods at Fynric.

Raelee sniffs at her verdant-sheened orange.

Monthas says, "Pear-adise Produce or Orange You Glad Grocery. Not that I hate your name at all."

Lylia gazes admiringly at Monthas.

Fynric begins chuckling at Monthas!

Everall begins chuckling at Monthas!

Monthas says, "We make life a little more juicy."

Fynric says, "Can't really go into details of the soil. But she won't run out."

Fynric nods at Perigourd.

Fynric says, "But don't let that stop you from buying more."

Lylia dreamily asks, "Did I ever talk to you about necrobotany, Fynric?"

Lylia smiles.

Leafiara gazes in amusement at her surroundings.

Perigourd places his hands on his hips and hitches his thumbs under the sides of his leather belt, taking on a posture of unconcerned repose.

Speaking to Fynric, you ask, "Why can't we discuss the soil more?"

Monthas grins.

Fynric says, "Trade secrets."

Amathea rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Speaking to Lylia, Raelee mentions, "... Ysharra would likely find these... curious."

Fynric looks over at Lylia and shakes his head.

Lylia says, "Soil is a surprisingly interesting topic when it used to be someone's grandparent.""

Perigourd nods slowly to you.

Amathea melodically says, "What interesting food."

Monthas says, "We re raisin the bar on fresh at this stand."

Amathea glances at a wide dark green fruit stand and rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Speaking to herself, Leafiara ponders, "I suppose we could always ask that Green Sister who opened the shop talisman what special properties Talador soil might have..."

Speaking to Amathea, Lylia asks, "Do you dare to eat a peach? Or perhaps a pomegranate?"

Amathea beams!

Fynric says, "Try some."

Fynric nods at Amathea.

Perigourd chuckles.

Amathea melodically says, "I'm always up for an experiment."

Amathea helps herself to a honey-brushed verdant-sheened pomegranate.

Leafiara gazes in amusement at Amathea.

Amathea melodically says, "Delicious."

Monthas says, "Well, she didn't die."

Lylia nods at Leafiara.

Perigourd nods thoughtfully.

Raelee stares at her verdant-sheened orange.

Amathea glances at a honey-brushed verdant-sheened pomegranate and rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Monthas laughs!

Fynric slowly empties his lungs.

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd asks, "I expect you won't be selling to children?"

Fynric helps himself to a plump red verdant-sheened apple.

Amathea melodically exclaims, "Well give it some time!"

Fynric takes a bite of his verdant-sheened apple.

Everall gazes at Fynric.

Monthas says, "I ate a pear, grapes, and some watermelon."

Lylia says, "That clerk's family seemed to enjoy them. I remember he mentioned the children clamored for more."

Leafiara curiously asks, "If they have the silver, why not?"

You nod slowly at Perigourd.

Fynric says, "I can't really see us turning away hungry children."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

Lylia offhandedly says, "He did not mention any of them died. I am sure they are fine."

Fynric says, "If anything it might sooth the little wildlings."

Fynric chuckles.

Perigourd says, "I should think that the experience may be awkward for them."

Lylia sniffs at Xorus.

Perigourd says, "And potentially hazardous."

Amathea melodically exclaims, "They're all so shiny!"

Fynric asks, "And this town isn't?"

Thrassus snickers.

Fynric chuckles.

Everall folds his hands behind his back.

Fynric says, "These kids might need something to soften the edges of the last fifteen years of the war, blood and chaos of Wehnimer's."

Fynric says, "She'll always be home, but it's been a tempest here for sure."

Lylia grins slowly at Xorus.

Fynric asks, "Delicious?"

Fynric peers quizzically at Amathea.

Amathea nods at Fynric.

Amathea melodically says, "Quite so."

Amathea melodically says, "Nothing suspicious at all."

Amathea melodically says, "Probably."

Xorus leans softly against Lylia.

Lylia gazes up into the sky.

Everall chuckles to himself.

Earthdiver feeds a fluffy white cat a bite of his verdant-sheened strawberry.

Raelee glances at a fluffy white cat.

Earthdiver surreptitiously glances at a fluffy white cat.

Amathea glances at a fluffy white cat.

Lylia kneels down.

Lylia pets a fluffy white cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.

Monthas says, "If the cat turns into a human, I'll umm not be happy."

Amathea glances at Monthas and rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Leafiara chuckles.

Leafiara pets a fluffy white cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.

Fynric takes a bite of his verdant-sheened apple.

Speaking silkily to a fluffy white cat, Lylia says, "Who is the very softest? You are, yes you are."

Lylia says, "She seems fine."

Lylia pets a fluffy white cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.

Several of the gathered townspeople help themselves to more fruit, thank Fynric, and head off on their way.

Lylia stands up.

Monthas says, "I'm just amazed you can grow so much fruit in what is typically the off season."

Fynric says, "Happy customers. Well, it's free. That always makes for happy."

Amathea rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Lylia chuckles.

Everall glances about with a look of concern on his face.

Fynric says, "Hopefully they'll come when the shop is open in the bazaar."

Amathea nods at Fynric.

Perigourd rubs at the joints of his rough fingers for several moments.

Lylia says, "Oh, I imagine so."

Fynric says, "Try it."

Fynric nods at Raelee.

Lylia leans softly against Xorus.

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee says, "... not yet."

Amathea pokes her finger at a ripe purple verdant-sheened plum.

You casually say, "If it has the addictive properties you are hoping for. I don't see how they wouldn't."

Fynric says, "Imagine all of the world problems you'll solve."

Fynric nods at Raelee.

Leafiara curiously asks, "Have you decided on what your pricing will be when i's time to make this not free?"

Leafiara chuckles.

Monthas sniffs at his verdant-sheened starfruit.

You nod understandingly at Raelee.

Lylia chuckles.

Perigourd chuckles.

Fynric says, "Not yet."

Leafiara nods understandingly.

Lylia says, "The root of the Common word for 'addiction' relates to slavery. Etymology is fascinating."

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee says, "If a bite of an orange is all I need to solve the mysteries of the world..."

Perigourd leans against the entrance.

Fynric says, "You won't know until you try."

Fynric nods at Raelee.

You grin at Perigourd.

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee asks, "... those mysteries were never that far away, were they?"

Fynric says, "I do not think the fruit will be addicting. It hasn't proven as such yet."

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee says, "But there is an order to things. Eating the orange is not... the best first step for an experiment."

Lylia says, "Mm, more like, you may feel you can tug at the edges and reveal more of the mysteries."

Fynric says, "That's certainly not the intention."

Fynric says, "Of course I want people to want it, not need it. There's a fine line."

You take a moment to observe everything you can about Fynric.

Amathea gazes up into the heavens.

Thrassus nods understandingly.

Amathea rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Fynric says, "Truthfully, it's a safe alternative to the other vices of the world."

Fynric takes a bite of his verdant-sheened apple.

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee asks, "Why is an alternative to said vices required?"

Perigourd nods slowly.

Leafiara guesses, "Because it's profitable. Good enough reason."

Lylia says, "I dallied with smoking a pipe in years past, to varying effect. And drink, of course. This feels different but certainly no more dangerous."

Lylia looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Fynric says, "It isn't."

Fynric shrugs at Raelee.

Speaking to Fynric, Everall asks, "Earlier you mentioned Briselle needed rest a bit earlier. Is she ok?"

Raelee pores over a large smooth verdant-sheened orange, engrossed in the study of it.

Fynric says, "She's fine. Her work is draining lately."

Everall nods at Fynric.

Lylia winks at Xorus.

Raelee distractedly asks, "Draining how? Physically? Spiritually? Mana?"

Fynric says, "Wasn't always that way, but, it's been a lot lately."

Leafiara furrows her brow.

Lylia cocks her head.

Fynric says, "I'm sorry, your questions really are highlighting me being a bad husband."

Fynric frowns at Raelee.

Fynric says, "A little of both? I don't really involve myself much with her process."

Everall curiously asks, "But she's not ill, just tired?"

Fynric says, "She never used to ask me questions of my past work, I don't really dig into hers."

Everall peers quizzically at Fynric.

You ask, "Is this work involving the fruit?"

Fynric says, "Ill? Oh no not at all."

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee says, "The intent of the query is to discern if the magical process involved in growing these fruits is having a more tangible impact other than being... tired."

Perigourd furrows his brow.

Fynric nods to you.

Leafiara scratches her head.

Fynric says, "Just tired. Rest is best."

Fynric takes a bite of his verdant-sheened apple.

You ask, "What did she do before this business venture?"

Fynric says, "Kept me out of a grave."

Everall takes a moment to observe Fynric.

You flatly say, "That sounds more draining."

Fynric asks, "You don't recognize me?"

Leafiara chuckles.

Fynric peers quizzically at you.

Speaking to himself, Perigourd says, "We all go back to the earth eventually."

Fynric says, "I mean, a lot of us wore masks. So I get it."

Fynric chuckles.

Xorus smirks.

Speaking casually to Fynric, you say, "I am aware of who you are and your previous occupation. I asked about hers though."

Lylia nods at Perigourd.

You trace the lines of your smoke-hued feathers.

Fynric says, "She's a mage. She's studied how she can here, but my line of work and stubbornness kept her here, when she probably should have been south in one of those fancy colleges."

Amathea furrows her brow.

Fynric says, "Nydds? Something, I am not sure. But now it's time for her to shine. I got out of the shadow so she could be out of mine."

Lylia closes her eyes for a moment.

Lylia places a hand over her heart.

Speaking to Fynric, Raelee says, "Nydds, The Swale, Elstreth, Tamzyrr..."

Speaking to Fynric, you ask, "Why the interest in fruit then? Accident or intentional to start a business?"

Leafiara admits, "I typically don't think of happy and fulfilled people when I think of mages..."

Leafiara glances at Raelee.

Leafiara chuckles.

Raelee continues, "... Vornavis, opening eventually..."

Speaking to Fynric, Perigourd says, "Perhaps when they open the one in Vornavis soon, she can attend with the profits you make in your shop."

Perigourd nods slowly at Raelee.

Speaking distractedly to Leafiara, Raelee asks, "Hmm?"

Fynric says, "She's always loved gardening. Her parents did too."

Speaking innocently to Raelee, Leafiara exclaims, "Nothing!"

Amathea glances at Fynric and rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Fynric says, "I met her in the one on the east side of town."

You nod slowly at Fynric.

Fynric asks, "If your work is your passion it's not work anymore, you know?"

Leafiara nods knowingly at Fynric.

Fynric says, "So I am proud of her."

You blithely say, "Gardens are lovely."

Fynric nods at Perigourd.

Everall nods approvingly at Fynric.

Lylia gazes with interest at the entrance.

Speaking to Fynric, you say, "I would be happy to show her my garden at some point if she wishes. The consortium also has a vast one in the courtyard."

Fynric says, "I'll let her know."

Lylia has a few words with a dark-haired half-elven priestess.

Fynric says, "Well, I'm going to go let Briselle know the booth was a success and is open."

Lylia murmurs, "Fascinating."

Leafiara nods rhythmically.

Thrassus nods at Fynric.

Fynric says, "Thanks everyone...for your support."

Lylia says, "Wonderful, please give her my best. And remind her about the cherries."

Lylia grins at Fynric.

Amathea hangs her head.

Perigourd nods slowly.

Leafiara turns toward Fynric and renders a sharp hand salute.

Fynric says, "Send my regards to Vaemyr too please."

Perigourd subtly splays the first two fingers and thumb of his hand, waving them toward Fynric in a casual Turamzzyrian salute.

Leafiara chuckles.

Leafiara amusedly says, "Will do just that."

Fynric waves.

Leafiara waves.

Amathea melodically says, "Hmmm....."

Everall performs a bow characteristic of Selanthia before Fynric.

Lylia helps herself to a bunch of red verdant-sheened grapes.

Everall waves to Fynric.

Lord Fynric just went east.

Small Talk Afterwards

Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully. Raelee glances skeptically at a large smooth verdant-sheened orange in her hand. Lylia bites her lip. Lylia pulls Xorus closer to herself. Leafiara twists her head slightly, cracking her neck. She looks relieved. Earthdiver glances at a bright red verdant-sheened strawberry in his hand. Amathea gazes up into the heavens. You gaze thoughtfully at your glass case. Amathea glances to her right. Lylia whispers something to Xorus. Leafiara pleasedly says, "Got one of each sample." Lylia says, "Be well, all." Lylia shifts her weight, trembling slightly. Thrassus nods at Lylia. A man walks up to the stand, grabbing several oranges. "They ate them so fast, we need more.." He walks off. Leafiara glances at a wide dark green fruit stand. Leafiara chuckles. Lylia helps herself to a ripe purple verdant-sheened plum. Everall looks over at Raelee and shakes his head. Thrassus glances at a wide dark green fruit stand. Thrassus smirks. Speaking to Raelee, Everall says, "I'm still not there Magister." You glance over your shoulder. Speaking to Everall, Raelee says, "... nor am I." You evenly note, "Not addictive at all." Thrassus snickers. Lylia grins slowly at Xorus. Everall nods slowly. A young child darts by, looking around, then snatches an apple from the stand before running off. Another townsperson nearby chuckles, "...they're free little man...." Thrassus says, "I look forward to watching this unfold." Speaking to Thrassus, Raelee says, "It will be interesting..." Perigourd glances warily at a wide dark green fruit stand. Thrassus nods at Raelee. Leafiara admits, "I hadn't considered the Verdant Veins name unusual until Lylia brought it up, but suppose it's not referring to, say, plant venation and rather our own veins..." You admit, "I do not have a problem with it being a regular vice. Honestly, my organization handles distribution of many kinds. But I worry about the magic involved and it being so close to home." Thrassus says, "One way or another, yes." Speaking to Thrassus, Raelee says, "At least it will, in time, broaden the data..." Amathea melodically says, "I had the strangest feeling a bit ago......seems to be gone now." Perigourd grunts. You nod briefly at Leafiara. Amathea rubs her chin thoughtfully. You nod slowly at Amathea. You say, "It's the fruit." Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "Thuja is not far off." You say, "And clearly intentional." Leafiara nods absently. Amathea glances at you and rubs her chin thoughtfully. Amathea melodically says, "Curious." Thrassus says, "It will be funny if the town ends up having to regulate fruit sales." Speaking to Thrassus, Everall says, "Or if the town ends up worse." Everall sighs. Perigourd says, "One must also consider that not all crops grow equally." Thrassus says, "I don't think it will go that far." Leafiara says, "Sometimes I'd rather just be battling Ithzir or extraplanar things that look like Ithzir. It's a lot more straightforward." Leafiara chuckles. Thrassus snickers. Everall nods in agreement at Leafiara. Monthas chuckles. You say, "Not sure battling them while under the influence of the fruit is the most sound idea." Leafiara says, "Haven't even one yet and don't intend to." Leafiara grins. Speaking to Leafiara, Everall says, "The enemy is clear and in the light... not hidden amongst the shadows." Leafiara says, "Eaten, rather." Leafiara coughs. Thrassus says, "I suppose I should get back to the hall." Perigourd nods at Thrassus. You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs. Perigourd turns toward Ghrath and renders a sharp hand salute. You lean against the entrance. Thrassus says, "Do have a good evening all, try not to overimbibe on the fruit." Thrassus snickers. Raelee nods slightly. Perigourd says, "He may simply be a merchant trying to make silver. One simply hopes it's done responsibly if that is so." Amathea melodically says, "I don't see how something so delicous could be a bad thing." Leafiara sagaciously says, "I'd like to consider myself 'exactly paranoid enough'." Leafiara relents, "But then, I'm biased." Leafiara snickers. Perigourd chuckles. Speaking to Leafiara, Perigourd says, "Or experienced." Monthas says, "Just weird." Perigourd nods slowly at Leafiara. Speaking to Perigourd, Leafiara concedes, "There is that." Speaking to Perigourd, Everall says, "He may truly be." Speaking to Everall, Perigourd says, "I'd like to know more about the soil." You nod slowly at Perigourd. Amathea blinks. Amathea gasps. Monthas says, "Its because he is so evasive. If he just said its normal dirt that would be the end of it." Amathea shakes her head. You absently chew on one side of your lip as you mull things over. Speaking to Perigourd, Everall says, "Agreed. And something of the earlier conversations that just feel off." Speaking to Monthas, Raelee says, "It is most certainly not normal." Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully. Amathea snaps her fingers. Leafiara says, "I haven't even believed his story about his history. I could be mistaken on that, of course, but all we have are words and a tattoo." Leafiara chuckles. Amathea tilts her black apple side to side, making the light play off it. You say, "He is skating around answers, definitely." Amathea tilts her verdant-sheened grapes side to side, making the light play off it. You add, "And somewhat nervous." Perigourd says, "He mentioned something about the memory of dirt or to that meaning the first eve, when he asked us to take him out into the forest." Monthas nods. Perigourd says, "I'd be curious to know what Aronia thought of all this." Amathea raises her black apple skyward! Amathea melodically says, "Surely they're not related...." Perigourd says, "If he's using Taladorian soil, she might have a better understanding of it." Amathea glances at a glistening black apple and rubs her chin thoughtfully. Everall nods at Perigourd. Speaking to Perigourd, you say, "Soil can hold memories though as far as the land scape. If there was a drought, flood, or even past plant life." You ponder the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "Indeed, but his intention seemed more specific, as did his site to dig." Everall nods at Perigourd. Amathea glances at Perigourd. You ask, "Where was the site he dug at here?" You ask, "Near the Modwir?" You cock your head at Perigourd. Perigourd nods to you. Amathea blinks. You slowly ask, "Anything siginificant in history happen there?" Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully. Leafiara says, "The Bleak spoke to us through a tree once." Speaking to Leafiara, Perigourd says, "I believe that is what one of the folk there mentioned." Leafiara says, "Ysharra's strand of hair might even still be there." Leafiara ponders. Amathea cocks her head and examines the doll head. Speaking to Leafiara, Perigourd says, "That for certain." Perigourd nods in agreement. Leafiara nods at Perigourd. You avert your eyes upward as your palm rubs the back of your neck. Lost in thought, you gnaw softly on your bottom lip, hoping to find a solution or answer. Monthas says, "Good night all." Monthas waves. You ask, "Who else has eaten the fruit here?" Amathea curtsies to Monthas. Perigourd turns toward Monthas and renders a sharp hand salute. Everall waves to Monthas. Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "I had a single pear, so far." Monthas raises his hand. Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "... and she will likely find this whole affair quite curious." Leafiara says, "That's why I mentioned getting soil from the Bleaklands a previous time we spoke with him... I thought he'd been looking for that, but no." Monthas says, "I had several bites from several fruit." Everall looks over at you and shakes his head. Speaking to Perigourd, you say, "You said you heard a whisper." Perigourd chuckles. Leafiara nods absently at Raelee. Speaking to you, Everall says, "Fasting..." Speaking to Monthas, you ask, "Did you sense anything odd...?" Monthas says, "Nothing ever happened to me." You nod understandingly at Everall. You blink at Monthas. Speaking to you, Perigourd says, "Or the sound of whispering, yes, though there were other things." Leafiara takes a moment to observe Monthas. Leafiara ponders. Speaking understandingly to you, Perigourd says, "Ah, I see what you mean." Speaking to Perigourd, you specify, "Just a theory of those types of things being pieces or memories. But it's a very wild theory at the moment until we have more data." Monthas says, "Well, I felt tingley once." Perigourd nods understandingly to you. You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process. Leafiara ponders. Monthas says, "Maybe it does not work on dark elves." Monthas shrugs. You disclose, "I heard creaking of floor boards as if someone was present or nearby." You add, "And I was outside in my garden." Leafiara says, "Hm." Leafiara murmurs, "Now I'm way more tempted to eat it out of morbid curiosity." Monthas frowns. You gaze thoughtfully at your glass case. Xanthirra ponders. You wonder, "Curious if different fruits have various properties or if the feelings are all the same." Monthas leans on his runestaff. You say, "Perigourd had a pear. I had raspberries." Xanthirra carefully inspects her verdant-sheened starfruit. Xanthirra softly asks, "Anyone try the starfruit yet?" Xanthirra smiles. Raelee glances at a bright yellow verdant-sheened starfruit in her hand. Everall says, "I'm more curious about delayed consequences." Monthas says, "I ate a pear, melon, and recently a meaty one." You nod at Everall. Xanthirra shrugs. Perigourd says, "Or cumulative." Perigourd nods in agreement. Everall nods at Perigourd. Monthas says, "That thing. I did not care for it." Xanthirra softly says, "Tastes like starfruit to me." Xanthirra shrugs. You ask, "Why veins?" Leafiara glances at a honey-brushed verdant-sheened pomegranate on a wide dark green fruit stand. You prod a wide dark green fruit stand with the tip of your finger. Everall grabs a rhimar-lined glass case from a small pocket inside of his royal blue longcloak. Xanthirra nods. Everall turns over his glass case. Everall fiddles with his glass case before lifting the latch and flipping the cover open. Raelee distractedly says, "... good evening, for now." Raelee nods slightly. Perigourd subtly splays the first two fingers and thumb of his hand, waving them toward Raelee in a casual Turamzzyrian salute. Everall performs a bow characteristic of Selanthia before Raelee. Leafiara nods at Raelee. Xanthirra softly says, "Will be sure and let everyone know if something horrible happens to me." Xanthirra falls over. Leafiara grins wryly at Xanthirra. Perigourd says, "Indeed, much to mull over in the night." Xanthirra begins to twitch. Raelee rubs her medallion and fog billows from it in a thick cloud, quickly obscuring her form from sight. As the murk clears, you see Raelee is no longer there. Monthas rolls Xanthirra over. Xanthirra begins to twitch. Xanthirra begins to twitch. Everall pulls Xanthirra to her feet. Arranging his face into a formal expression, Perigourd gives a respectful bow, one hand going to his leather hood to keep it in place. As he straightens up, he runs a hand over silhouettes of woodland animals embroidered in sienna thread throughout it, eddies of nightshade-hued light highlighting them. Xanthirra giggles. Everall begins chuckling at Xanthirra! Perigourd says, "A fair eve to you all." Everall performs a bow characteristic of Selanthia before Perigourd. Leafiara turns toward Perigourd and renders a sharp hand salute. Xanthirra nods. Everall says, "Good eve to ye." Monthas waves. Xanthirra smiles at Everall. Xanthirra waves. Xanthirra grins. Everall waves. Everall rubs his chin thoughtfully.
