White ora is slightly rarer than regular ora, and is more valued. It has the same basic properties as common ora, but it has the unusual natural ability to harm the undead under the right conditions. Through much study of this strange variant of ora, it is said that the magic within the metal reacts to the aura of a cleric or paladin, becoming sanctified in their hands. This allows them to wield it against undead beings without the aid of blessing magic. When held by other professions, white ora must still be blessed to bypass undead physical resistance.
It is the polar opposite of black ora.
Purified White ora
A more pure and powerful form of white ora is called purified white ora. It has been made available via Ebon Gate starting with its October 2026 run through the material purification service.
Purified White Ora flares release a blast of holy flame damage and provides the Hallowed Resolve buff for the next swing or cast. Purified white ora only flares against undead, and flares twice as often as a standard flare. The flare is a standard fire flare with holy messaging; immolation lasts 3–5 rounds. Hallowed Resolve lasts up to 120 seconds and provides +25% DF against undead for attacks, or +50 overwarding for CS spells. It is only consumed by a hit or successful ward against an undead target. There is a 25% chance to immolate the target in holy fire.
