When altering the gowns, you can have three different 15/15/15s (neutral, dark, light) and three different long descriptions (neutral, dark, light). All of those must be provided at the time of alter. If you already have long descriptions, the gown may be further altered to have a look description, but this one must be appropriate for all of the forms, as the dark and light versions will insert messaging after the {{boldmono|LOOK}} to indicate their status. |

The Shadowplay Gown is a line of fashionwear sold at the shop Shadowplay. These gowns have verb traps which vary based on whether the gown is in its neutral, light, or dark state, which can be changed by casting or evoking Light at it. When altering an unlocked gown, they can have a total of three "sides" which correspond to the verb messaging for neutral, light, and dark. Casting Light or Sunburst will turn the gown to its light side and associated scripts. Evoking Darkness or casting Camouflage will turn the gown to its dark side and associated scripts. Using DUST will revert the gown back to its neutral side and associated scripts. AnalyzeYou analyze the ramie silk gown and sense that the creator has provided the following information: An elaborately draped gown of lustrous cinnamon ramie silk is a Shadowplay Gown. It is currently unlocked to Tier 1 of 4. At Tier 1, the gown will trap LEAN and LOWER. At Tier 2, the gown gains the ability to shift from light to dark when certain spells are cast at it. It will also trap CURTSY and TILT. At Tier 3, it will trap RUB and SPIN. When fully unlocked to Tier 4, it will trap FOLD and PULL. When altering this gown, you will need to provide a neutral 15/15/15, a dark 15/15/15, and a light 15/15/15. The same is true for long descriptions. If the gown has a look description, it must be appropriate for all three phases and must accompany long descriptions. When altering these, you can use synonyms for 'shadowy' or 'luminous' as long as they are clearly indicative of the intent (namely that when in light form, they are luminescent/luminous/illuminated, and when they are in dark mode, they are shadowy/shaded). The neutral form is just like any regular gown alteration. You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the ramie silk gown for you or deepen its pockets. Tier 1Tier 1 gives access to the verbs LEAN and LOWER.Usage
Tier 2Tier 2 allows for the use of the Light spell, in both its light and dark forms. It also gives access to the verbs CURTSY and TILT.Usage
Tier 3At tier 3, the verbs RUB and SPIN become available.Usage
Tier 4Tier 4 unlocks the verbs FOLD and PULL.Usage
Additional InformationAltering NotesThe gown needs to be unlocked to Tier 2 in order to test the different sides after being altered. When altering the gowns, you can have three different 15/15/15s (neutral, dark, light) and three different long descriptions (neutral, dark, light). All of those must be provided at the time of alter. If you already have long descriptions, the gown may be further altered to have a look description, but this one must be appropriate for all of the forms, as the dark and light versions will insert messaging after the LOOK to indicate their status. Information about altering from merchant Amdirlost at Ebon Gate:"The basic premise of the item needs to remain the same, the sides indicate light/luminous or dark/shadowy.
