The necrotic ring is a smooth bone ring pierced by tiny crystal shards. It was released at Ebon Gate 2019, as a prize from the Arena of the Abyss. The ring is charged by defeating undead in the Arena and may randomly reanimate slain foe throughout the year, if charges remain. The number of charges can be determined through ANALYZE or loresinging. Additional features were added at Ebon Gate 2020, including the ability to spawn undead boss creatures and another to provide a chance for the ring owner to receive a boost to their attacks and defenses for a limited time. Additional charges can be procured either from the the lithe dark-skinned abyran'ra at the Arena of the Abyss entrance (28549). Just ASK (1 per 25 soul shards), or with sticky ichor green substance, which is purchased at Ebon Gate festival. AnalyzeYou analyze your smooth bone ring and sense that the item cannot be altered in any way. The creator has also provided the following information: The smooth bone ring is a prize from the Arena of the Abyss (Ebon Gate event at Caligos Isle). When worn, it has a chance to summon an undead creature from a recently slain creature. Lich's CurseThis curse causes the necrotic jewelry to have a chance to spawn a greater (boss) undead creature when it triggers. These are normal boss creatures which are higher level and have a random selection of boons. Killing these creatures results in long-term experience and more treasure (compared to their non-boss variants). It will cost 5,000 soul shards to increase the odds of the curse triggering by 1%, unlockable up to 100 times (100% chance). Lich's Curse LTE RewardsThe spectral boss creature versions of undead spawned by the necrotic ring's Lich's Curse are not subject to the daily 1000 long term experience limit that other types of boss monsters have. There is no daily limit for the spectral boss creatures spawned by the necrotic ring. Voln's BlessingThe Destroyer of the Undead blesses those who complete his work. When you slay an undead generated by your necrotic jewelry, there is a chance to receive Voln's Blessing, which results in +15 AS, +15 DS, +10 CS, and +10 TD for 30 seconds It will cost 5,000 soul shards to increase the odds of the blessing triggering by 1%, unlockable up to 100 times (100% chance). The messaging for Voln's Belssing will appear immediately after killing one of the undead spawned by the ring when it is triggered. Unstable ManifestationIn addition to the existing worn finger location, your necrotic jewelry can be upgraded to add new worn locations: wrist, ankle, neck, and ear. This will also affect the illusion that the jewelry projects. Each new worn location costs 12,500 soul shards to unlock and will allow you to rotate between your unlocked worn locations at any time. The resulting undead is still a foe, and will attack the adventurer all over again. You loose a ghastly, keening wail! Your spellsong is ready.
