The Basketifier is a fluff script that applies to container items. It was originally released at Evermore Hollow 2022. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: basket, blanket, table and tableware. It allows for the long-term storage of fresh foods, and also makes the food item unlimited.
Analyze
You analyze your apple-shaped basket and sense that the creator has provided the following information: Welcome to the Basketifier, straight out of the shop Preserving Breads at Evermore Hollow! This basket is designed to hold food items for you. It will keep them fresh and unlimited until you decide to remove them. It is currently tier 5 of 5, which means it will house 24 food items. To use the basket, simply follow these steps: 1. PUT - use this to add food items to the basket. 2. RUB - use this to prepare a food item for removal. 3. TURN - Use this to remove a food item from the basket. (must be charged with a small statue) To create a picnic, follow these steps: 1. PULL - to pull the blanket out. This will move all food to the blanket, and the basket will be turned into a trashcan. 2. PUSH - to clean up the picnic. This will move all food and the blanket back into the basket and return the basket to its natural state. The picnic will stick around for two hours before folding up. This can be renewed using HUG. To create a table, follow these steps: 1. PROD - to set the table out. This will move all food items onto the table, and the basket will be turned into a trashcan. 2. TINKER - to clean up the table. This will move all food back into the basket and return the basket to its natural state. The table will stick around for two hours before folding up. This can be renewed using HUG. A rotund apple-shaped basket has 1 charges stored in it that can be used to remove food. Alterations: The basket may be altered freely, but it must remain a basket. It can have a long or show description. Basket's Blanket: a forest green blanket With a long description of: a forest green blanket embroidered with plump golden apples It must maintain a noun of blanket, cloth, tablecloth, or something similar. It may have a long or a show description and must be made of fabric. Table Base: a painted applewood table With a show description of: Tinged in red and worn smooth with use, the applewood table is long and sturdy. Carved legs, each wrought to resembled stacked apples, support the even planks on the top and are anchored in place by brass fixtures. Painted into the center is a meadow-like scene featuring several roltons at pasture. The table must keep the noun table. It may have a long or a show description and needs to be made of wood. SPECIAL TABLEWARE UNLOCK Because your basket has been unlocked to the 5th tier, you are now able to add utensils, plates, saucers, or napkins with special certificates. To see which you already have installed, please GAZE at the basket. Additionally, you can set out freshly made food and drink on the table for everyone to enjoy. DROP cooking creations, breadmaker cakes and pies, ice cream, or cheese ON the table, or EMPTY a kettle, coffee press, or cooking pot ON the table. These only last as long as the table is out. After that, they are destroyed. In Basket Form: WHISPER - To obtain a single copy of the item. GAZE - To see the full list of unlocked tableware items. In Table Form: Upon becoming a table, your tableware items will be stacked on the table. GET will allow you, or anyone using your table, to obtain a tableware item. All tableware items are marked as junk to allow you to throw them away when you are near trash barrels. This includes the trash basket stored under your table when it is out. Throwing away a tableware item does not destroy those contained in your basket. Please Note: A tableware voucher is your gateway to customizing your tableware items. Once the tableware is installed in your Basketifier, it cannot be altered by a merchant. However, you can purchase a new voucher, customize it, and then override your current design. Customizing food in the basket is a special, delayed service.
Usage Information
Tier 1
While OTS, the Basketifier can store up to 4 food/drink items inside it, and it can make unlimited copies of those food/drink items stored inside.
| Verb | Modifier | First | Third |
| PUT (food in) |
N/A | You lower a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme into a rotund apple-shaped basket, taking a bit of cheesecloth from within to cover the dish and keep it fresh. | XXX lowers her pork chop into a rotund apple-shaped basket, taking a bit of cheesecloth from within to cover the dish. |
| RUB | N/A | You rub the side of your apple-shaped basket, preparing a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme for removal. | This section has not been added yet; please add to it now! |
| TURN | First Turn | You are about to permanently remove a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme from your apple-shaped basket. If this is what you want to do, then TURN the basket again in the next 30 seconds. | N/A |
|---|---|---|---|
| Second turn | Deciding that you no longer want a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme in your apple-shaped basket, you turn a dial on the side of it and then press an alarmingly red button. A loud hiss and smoke issues from the basket, the sound of something whining, and a soft, piteous, "Nooooo..." fills the air, but in the end, a drawer pops open. In the drawer you see a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme and a small sign that says, "Last of its kind." You quickly retrieve the basket. | XXX turns a small dial on her apple-shaped basket, causing a lot of hissing, billowing smoke, and a faint plea of denial. In short order, a drawer on the side of the basket pops out and XXX lifts a maple bourbon pork chop garnished with apple and thyme out of it. |
Tier 2
The Basketifier's second tier expands the number of food/drink items it can contain to 8 items total. In addition, it can be PULLed to turn the basket into a picnic blanket for serving.
| Verb | Modifier | First | Third |
| Pull | Basket | Placing a rotund apple-shaped basket on the grass, you pull a forest green blanket embroidered with plump golden apples and lay it upon the grass, repositioning the basket as a weight on one end. With practiced ease, you lay out each of the food items you had stored inside the basket, remembering as you do that this will make them available for all to enjoy. Pulling a bit of debris from a forest green blanket embroidered with plump golden apples, you toss it into the basket, which you now realize will act as a trashcan.
[[OOC Warning: All food items on this blanket are now available for public consumption. Your apple-shaped basket has been transformed into a trashcan and placed on one corner. Your green blanket will be out for two hour(s) at a time, refreshable with HUG. If you are not around when the timer is up, then you will need to see the local Adventurer's Guild to learn about recovery options for the basket.]] |
Placing a rotund apple-shaped basket on the grass, XXX pulls a forest green blanket embroidered with plump golden apples and lays it upon the grass, repositioning the basket as a weight on one end. With practiced ease, she lays various food items upon the blanket's smooth surface and discards any loose debris within the basket. |
| Push | Blanket | Quickly removing the various food items from the surface of the blanket and depositing them in a rotund apple-shaped basket, you close down your picnic. You pick the basket up. |
Quickly removing the various food items from the surface of the blanket and depositing them in a rotund apple-shaped basket, XXX closes down her picnic. XXX picks the basket up. |
Tier 3
The Basketifier's third tier expands the number of food/drink items it can contain to 12 items total, and it has the picnic blanket ability. In addition, it can be PRODded to turn the basket into a table for serving.
| Verb | Modifier | First | Third |
| HUG | First | A painted applewood table has 119 minutes left before it will pack itself up. If you would like to reset it to 90 minutes, then please HUG a painted applewood table again. | N/A |
|---|---|---|---|
| Second | You nudge the table, refreshing the timer for XX minutes. | N/A | |
| PROD | Basket | Placing the basket on the floor, you prod a couple of mechanisms in the bottom and step back. To the tune of mechanical whirring and buzzing, the basket slowly transforms into a painted applewood table as a pair of legs unfurl from its bottom. The walls and sides of the basket become the tabletop, and its lining transforms into a tablecloth. The various food items that once were within the basket become spread out for all to enjoy. You carefully tuck a rotund apple-shaped basket under the table, which can be used as a trashcan.
[[OOC Warning: All food items on this table are now available for public consumption. Your apple-shaped basket has been transformed into a trashcan and placed under the table. Your applewood table will be out for two hour(s) at a time, refreshable with HUG. If you are not around when the timer is up, then you will need to see the local Adventurer's Guild to learn about recovery options for the basket.]] |
Placing the basket on the floor, XXX gives it a little prod and then stands back. Over the course of several minutes, the basket transforms into a cloth-covered table laid with a spread of food. Once done, she places the basket under the table. |
| TINKER | Table | Tinkering with some of the mechanisms on the side of the table, you trigger the transformation process and cause the table to fold in on itself, returning it to its basket shape. You pick the basket up. |
Tinkering with some of the mechanisms on the side of the table, XXX causes the table to fold in on itself, transforming it into a rotund apple-shaped basket. XXX picks the basket up. |
Tier 4
The Basketifier's fourth tier expands the number of food/drink items it can contain to 24 items total, on top of the the picnic blanket and table abilities.
Tier 5
The Basketifier's fifth tier allows for the addition of tableware and serving pieces with tableware vouchers, and lets the owner set out freshly made food and drink on the table for everyone to enjoy.
Tableware Vouchers
Each voucher holds one design. The voucher can be altered by a merchant, or a matching item can be ADDed to it, which consumes the item. The voucher is then POINTed at a Tier 5 basket to install the design. Installing over an existing design requires confirmation.
Vouchers for serving pieces hold two designs, the serving piece set out on the table and the individual piece guests are served in. TURN the voucher to choose which design the next ADD will fill.
| Voucher | Accepted nouns | Paired with |
|---|---|---|
| Fork, Spoon, Knife, Chopsticks, Teaspoon, Plate, Saucer, Napkin | (matching noun) | N/A |
| Teapot | teapot, kettle | Teacup (teacup, cup, tea-bowl, teabowl, mug) |
| Pitcher | pitcher, jug, ewer, carafe, decanter | Glass (cup, wine-bowl, glass). Nothing is set out in the pitcher yet. |
| Carafe | pitcher, jug, ewer, carafe, decanter | Mug (teacup, cup, tea-bowl, teabowl, mug) |
| Serving Bowl | bowl, tureen, tea-bowl, teabowl, crock | Bowl (bowl, tureen, tea-bowl, teabowl, crock) |
| Platter | platter, tray | N/A (guests are served on the Plate design) |
| Verb | Modifier | First | Third |
| ADD | As you bring your green earthenware mug close to a thick earthenware voucher, you realize that the mug will be completely consumed by the process. If this is acceptable, then ADD mug to voucher again in the next 30 seconds. [OOC Note: Please note, adding a scripted item does not transfer the script to your basket.] |
N/A | |
| ADD | With practiced ease, you lay a wide-handled green earthenware mug in the center of a thick earthenware voucher. It slowly gets absorbed into the piece, leaving nothing behind. [OOC Note: ANALYZE the voucher to see your addition.] |
N/A | |
| GAZE | N/A | Gazing over the various tableware items stored within your basket, you mentally catalog each in turn:
Fork: a fancy sterling silver fork descending into a buttercup handle |
N/A |
| POINT | Voucher at basket | You point your voucher at a rotund apple-shaped basket, allowing the magic stored within the tiny piece of paper to do its thing. After several seconds, the voucher turns into motes of light that descend upon the basket, dissolving into its form. [OOC NOTE: You can now GAZE at the basket to see your tableware addition.] |
N/A |
| TURN | Voucher | You turn a thick earthenware voucher over to the other side. The next item you add will become your mug. | N/A |
| WHISPER | {my} basket {tableware item} | Reaching into a hickory and hazel switch basket, you draw forth a fancy sterling silver fork descending into a buttercup handle. | This section has not been added yet; please add to it now! |
Setting Out Food and Drink
While the basket is a table, its owner can set out fresh food and drink. Each one becomes unlimited for anyone at the table, and is served in the matching tableware design. If no design has been installed, a plain ceramic piece is used.
| How | What | Set out in | Guests are served in |
|---|---|---|---|
| EMPTY kettle, coffee press, or auction teapot ON table | Brewed tea | Teapot | Teacup |
| EMPTY kettle, coffee press, or auction teapot ON table | Brewed coffee | Carafe | Mug |
| EMPTY cooking pot or pan ON table | Finished hot cocoa | Carafe | Mug |
| EMPTY cooking pot or pan ON table | Finished soup, porridge, or rice | Serving bowl | Bowl |
| DROP food ON table | Cooking soups, stews, and ice cream | Serving bowl | Bowl |
| DROP food ON table | Other cooking creations, such as bread, pies, dumplings, and meats | Platter | Plate |
| DROP food ON table | Cakes and pies from a breadmaker | Platter | Slice (must be CUT first) |
| DROP food ON table | Ice cream or sorbet in a dish, made with an ice cream churn | Serving bowl | Bowl |
| DROP food ON table | Cheese made with a cheese wheel | Platter | Plate |
Food that is DROPped or EMPTYed from a cooking pot asks for confirmation first. Brewed tea and coffee do not.
| Verb | Modifier | First | Third |
| DROP | First | Once you set out an apple pie, it will be there for everyone to enjoy, and you won't be able to take it back. Packing up the table will clear away everything that has been set out. If this is acceptable, DROP it on the table again within the next 30 seconds. | N/A |
|---|---|---|---|
| Second | You arrange an apple pie on a wide ceramic platter, setting it out on the painted applewood table for everyone to enjoy. | XXX arranges an apple pie on a wide ceramic platter, setting it out on the painted applewood table for everyone to enjoy. | |
| EMPTY | Kettle on table | You empty the brewed contents of a copper kettle into a plain ceramic teapot, setting it out for everyone to enjoy. | XXX empties the brewed contents of a copper kettle into a plain ceramic teapot, setting it out for everyone to enjoy. |
| GET | Food on table | You take a plain ceramic plate from the painted applewood table and help yourself to an apple pie, adding it to your plate. | XXX takes a plain ceramic plate from the painted applewood table and helps herself to an apple pie, adding it to her plate. |
Additional Information

The blanket and table remain out for one hour at Tier 2, an hour and a half at Tier 3, and two hours at Tiers 4 and 5. The remaining time also appears in the owner's active spells and effects list.
Food and drink set out on a Tier 5 table are not returned to the basket. They are cleared away when the table is packed up, whether by TINKER or when the timer runs out.
