The Inquisitor is a brand new event premiering in 2026. It revolves around the Inquisitor herself, Luari Maivaldius, an enigmatic figure of immense power from a different plane of existence called Nyessem. It is an episodic event that introduces a new plane, new games, new player roleplay systems, a new progression system, and new storyline threads that will extend into Elanthia beyond the event itself.

June 2026 features a prologue for the pay event that includes a free preview week of access, where you can begin learning about the Inquisitor and get a taste for what Nyessem has to offer. The Inquisitor is scheduled to return in late 2026 with its first full chapter.

Activities

• Conundrum - Lady Maivaldius offers a challenge of skill and teamwork for the truly brave.  Within the Conundrum, a clockwerke creature needs to be rebuilt.  Guided by a floating, ethereal sphere, adventurers will aid in the reconstruction of this creature, dodging hazards and fighting off powerful clockwerke foes along the way.  Myriad parts are scattered across the area within the Conundrum, so pay careful attention to what you are asked to provide.  The parts are heavy, so you'll need to KICK them along the ground in the correct directions to get them where they need to go.
• Mana Trawl - A quick and fun diversion, Mana Trawling is a creation of Lady Luari Maivaldius!  Test your luck and skill as you "fish" with ethereal energy.  Win some aevit for your trouble, or perhaps a greater prize awaits for the truly fortunate!  To play, go through the pale violet stone arch located upon the Nyessem Promenade.  Once you're in the minigame's Indigo Pools area, simply WAGGLE at a nearby pool to begin!  Chat with the tall and pale lanky girl by the pools to learn more.
• Menagerie Madness - Lady Maivaldius's Menagerie Magister has collected a host of dangerous hostile creatures from Elanthia, and even a few from Nyessem!  To help capture the essences of these creatures, speak to the Magister in the Nyessem Ring Loop to enter the Menagerie Madness. Once inside the Menagerie, you can use POINT standalone on these creatures to capture their essences for the Magister.  Or, if you possess a Collector vissi within an Arcarium (and using the indicated verb when you ANALYZE the Arcarium), you can create a collectible Grinsawl to add to your permanent collections at the same time!  Watch out for the traps and hazards within that aim to slow you down!
• Fugue Elanthians - Lady Maivaldius sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience, but she requests your help repatriating those Fugue Elanthian testers whose minds and bodies were not up to the tasks placed before them here in Nyessem.  As you travel the event grounds, you may run across various Elanthians in a fugue state.  Simply POINT at them to make their locations known, and someone will come take care of them in due time.

Currency

The currency for the Inquisitor is aevit, which is used to purchase vissi and related items. It can be earned through the mini-games. Accumulated aevit can be viewed via TICKET BALANCE.

Shopping is available throughout Nyessem, offering vissi, arcarium, and related items for sale for the event currency, aevit.

Glossery of Terms

Term	Definition
Aevit	Aevit could be viewed as a culmination of spirit, mana, stamina, and mental focus. As utilized by the Inquisitor for her eponymous event, aevit represents a currency used for purchasing objects across this event. Use the TICKET verb to view the amount you have and withdraw them.
Aevarch	A concentrated collection of aevit. As utilized by the Inquisitor for her eponymous event, aevarch represent entries to the various games and simulations across this event. Use the EVENT verb to interact with them and withdraw them.
Vissi	Short for Vicissitudes, vissi are curious artifacts available for sale and collection at the Inquisitor's eponymous event. Each vissi offers a unique suite of benefits and properties when. These can be mechanical or fluff-oriented. They are utilized by adding them to arcarium obtained at the event. Each vissi has several progression tiers, unlocked by combining them within these ARCARIUM.
Arcarium	Arcarium are magical containers obtained at the Inquisitor's eponymous event. They house an adventurer's vissi and allow them to be used. The arcarium come in two types: aversaris and vangaris. These types differ in how they manifest their vissi's inherent power, as the abilities of the vissi will vary depending on which style of arcarium they are inserted into.
Aversaris	One of the two arcarium types obtained at The Inquisitor's eponymous event. Mechanically, vissi inserted into an aversaris arcarium are more often offensive-focused.
Vangaris	One of the two arcarium types obtained at The Inquisitor's eponymous event. Mechanically, vissi inserted into a vangaris arcarium are more often defensive-focused.
Grinsawl	Compiled with a Collector vissi inserted into an arcarium, grinsawl are essence-based trophies. When obtained using this vissi, grinsawl represent the spirits of the creatures collected. Just about any notable creature across Elanthia or Nyessem can be added to your collection. Optional collection tomes for grinsawl and further leafs for these tomes are available for purchase at the event.
Inquisitor	The host of her eponymous event, the Inquisitor is named Luari Maivaldius. She is a mysterious figure whose heralds reached Elanthia in 5126. Her powers include the ability to reshape the very matter of reality to her will. Her home is Nyessem.
Nyessem	Home of the Inquisitor, Nyessem is the location of her eponymous event. The land of Nyessem is shrouded in mystery. All that is known for certain is that it inhabits a different plane of reality from Elanthia. Nyessem and its event are accessed via EVENT TRANSPORT.
Maivaldius	The surname of the host of the Inquisitor event, Lady Luari Maivaldius.
Brayern	The first name of the father of the Inquisitor, Lady Luari Maivaldius. To journey to Nyessem, the Inquisitor's home, adventurers must first pass through Brayern Isle, named for her father. This island is shrouded in a perpetual mana storm, and its location is unclear. Use EVENT TRANSPORT to go here. A portal is located on Brayern Isle that allows for adventurers to access Nyessem.

Storyline Information

The Into the Squall global storyline is focused on introducing the Inquisitor, Nyessem, and the secrets held within.

Quest Information

Event quests are considered temporary quests; they are only available while the event ground are open.

• Introduction to Brayern Isle is the introductory quest for the Inquisitor, offering participants a walk through of points of interest as well as general information about the Inquisitor, Nyessem, and what the event may entail. Its completion is not required to participate.

Portal or Travel Info

Use EVENT TRANSPORT INQUISITOR in order to travel to Brayern Isle. From there, you can access the portal that leads to Nyessem, which includes the event's mini-games and shopping.

Refund Policy

The refund fee is a flat 10%. The deadline to apply for a refund is 24 hours from the time of purchase. Delayed service purchases that have been redeemed must be refunded within 24 hours of the service being applied.

No refunds beyond 24 hours after general shop purchases. No fee on purchases made within 24 hours that were a mistake. No refunds on items purchased during previous events. No refunds on auction items or live event services (e.g., Mania wins). This includes refunds on other items because of your auction win. No refunds on WPS services and Weight Reduction services. If you make a mistake on the type, please ASSIST. No refunds on gilded locus services. If you make a mistake, the NPC can help you reconfigure your locus.

As a further clarification to the existing refund policy, all live event and auction purchases are explicitly sold as-is. These items and services are final upon delivery and will not be revised or changed. This includes requests based on personal preference or design interpretation. Correction of clear errors is still available but should be reported promptly. Errors are limited to objective mistakes and do not include creative or mechanical design choices. Please consider this carefully when making any purchases.

As long as your ASSIST for a refund request is placed before the 24-hour mark, it is considered within the allowed window.
