Partitioning

Yo! This document on play.net was offered in two forms, one giant hulking page with no breaks and then the same doc, broken into four separate pages. Given the length of the document, I don't think four parts or one part worked. I rather haphazardly broke it into eight sections, but I think it could actually be broken down better and into more sections. In the sentence that begins "Among the most ardent of defenders were" near the bottom of this document, the character named Krissella is misspelled as Krisella, with one S. Should be two Ss according to game logs from the time. NAAMIT (talk) 14:53, 3 January 2024 (CST)

Page Move Suggestion

I've been doing a lot of research to get the Griffin Sword Saga category updated since it's woefully under-documented for large parts, outside of this official document, which was originally distributed in game yet later got published to the Play.net website. As part of it, I noticed that this document had its title changed when it was moved from the Play.net website to the wiki. The document was published here. On this landing page, it was titled, "The Gryphon Sword War Saga". On individual pages of the document, it was titled "The Griffon Sword War". When it was released in game, the books were titled "The Griffon Sword Saga, Volume 1" through Volume 3 written on the cover; the interior pages do not have a title displayed but in the introductory paragraph do reference the event as "The Griffin Sword War". (The sword itself is definitely spelled as the Griffin Sword.) GM Voraviel, who wrote this document, announced its release on the forums in this old archived post #235 back in 2011, where he included a link but didn't officially give it a title. I'm not clear what the intended title is supposed to be, given the frequent changes in spelling (Gryphon vs Griffon vs Griffin). However, in terms of the wiki, I suggest moving it back to the original Play.net landing page name of "The Gryphon Sword War Saga", even though this is an alternate spelling in the title compared to both the storyline and the sword. This would help distinguish it from both Category:The Griffin Sword War and its related redirects and Category:Griffin Sword Saga and its related redirects. (As a side note, the questline was definitely named "The Griffin Sword Saga", which can be referenced in the forums; I'm not sure why "the" got dropped.) HATESHI (talk) 12:16, 9 August 2025 (CDT)
