GROWL is a roleplaying verb.

Usage

Usage:
    GROWL                            - Growl ferociously
    GROWL {self}                     - Growl to yourself
    GROWL {target}                   - Growls at a target
    GROWL SET [OPTION]               - Shows or sets the GROWL verb options available.
    GROWL {animal}                   - Imitate the growl of a particular animal
    GROWL RANDOM                     - Imitate the growl of a random animal
Where {animal} is one of the following:
    AGRESH BEAR    BEAR                     BLACK BEAR
    CAVE BEAR      GIANT SHORT-FACED BEAR   GREAT BROWN BEAR
    GRIZZLY BEAR   POLAR BEAR               RED BEAR
GROWL allows you to growl in various ways.  You can use GROWL alone to emit a generic growl, GROWL at a target to growl at them, or you may use GROWL to do imitations.

  FIRST PERSON     - You growl softly in (targets) ear, making your intentions known.
  SECOND PERSON    - Darcena leans in close and growls softly in your ear, letting you know she's feeling frisky.
  THIRD PERSON     - Darcena growls softly at (target), who returns the gesture with a wink.
WAVEDANCER WEDDING
  FIRST PERSON     - You growl and vehemently curse whichever gods it was that condemned you to forever deeply love such a person as (target).
  THIRD PERSON     - Darcena growls and vehemently curses under her breath as she glances at (target).
STANDARD           - You growl at (target).

Self target:
  You growl to yourself.

Object targets:
  You growl ferociously at (target)!

Creature targets:
  You growl ferociously at (creature)!

No target:
  You growl ferociously!

NOTE:  ONLY first person messaging is listed unless it differs substantially from other versions.  Wedding messaging will only work with your spouse, all other targets default to standard messaging.  Messaging without an option shown applies to all options.  Special scripts and areas may override listed messaging.

When an individual attempts to imitate an animal, they have a potential for five different outcomes which are detailed below in table. Not included is GROWL RANDOM, which randomly chooses from the available creatures.
