Veola hair accessories are highly customizable hairworn accessories that were created by GM Reidyn and introduced at Ebon Gate 2012 in A Head Above. They come in fivecategories (hats, barrettes, headbands, generic headworn items, and generic hair-worn items) with the ability to alter each side (plain, with a gem, with a feather, with a flower, with an insect or sea creature, with a pointed item, or with miscellany) as well as three custom hairstyles, including the default. Unlocked versions also offer additional zests, while fully unlocked offer demeanor based NOD and SHAKE. In 2019, Veolas were updated to accept flowers as adornment, effectively adding a fourth side. Thus far, Veolas are not sold "off the shelf" with a flower side. One must find a capable and willing merchant to unlock and add the flower side. As a side note, the Veola will only accept simple flowers without scripts or long descriptions. In 2022, Veolas were updated to accept:
AnalyzeThis Veola item is designed to display a gem, feather, flower, insects and sea creatures, pointed items, or other miscellaneous items. Miscellany includes other foraged items, skins, shells, and other larger non-gem treasure items. The veil has several distinct descriptions, depending on what item is inserted. To insert an item, hold the veil in one hand, the item you'd like to insert in the opposite hand, and PUSH veil. PULLing the veil will remove the item and restore the veil to its empty description. It has been fully unlocked and has the following verbs available: TWIST, TAP, ATTEND, NOD and SHAKE. When worn, it will temporarily alter your hairstyle and supports up to three custom hairstyles in addition to the default setting. To change between the available hairstyles, hold the item in your hands and TURN it. Currently it has no custom hairstyles set. <hair> brushed back beneath a short ecru spidersilk veil painted with fire lilies (default)< When altering these items there is some important information to keep in mind. Additional InformationAlteration GuidanceVeola items are fancy fancy hats that can hold four different descriptions:
The base of the hat should stay the same (a silk hat, a blue silk hat, a black silk hat, etc). Veolas are also able to style your hair with three custom settings. Please keep in mind that the hairstyle must include the Veola in the description. Example: She has long, wavy brown hair pinned back with a vibrant chartreuse silk hat dotted in pale white. Accessories can be set by a merchant to display the full article/adjective/noun (a limpid dark indigo tidal pearl), adjective/noun (indigo tidal pearl), or noun (pearl). The shared noun will display in WEAR/REMOVE messaging and should not conflict with any accessorized looks. ResourcesSee Also |
