This article is a work in progress!
Ritualistic tools, also known as Tools of the Craft, were released at Ebon Gate 2015 in Coventry. The tools work as a set and items can interact with each other. At Ebon Gate 2018 they were sold in A Dark and Damp Grotto. Case
You analyze your black oak case and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: Acceptable nouns for this item are: case, box, chest, trunk, or reliquary. Messaging references a material lining in the container, and the color can be altered. If unlocked, the material (which must be in a stable condition - ie: no shoddy, moth-eaten, etc.) can be altered. There are no additional verb traps for an unlocked case. Current verbs: PUT (items in) and GET (items out). This item is tier 2 of 2 tiers. Try as you might, you cannot get a good sense of whether or not the case's pockets could get any deeper, but you can tell that the case is as light as it can get. UsageTier 1
Bowl
You analyze your ivory offering bowl and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: This item's noun must always be "bowl". If unlocked, a color can be added - this is referenced when using GAZE. Current verbs: BOW, GAZE, PUSH, PULL, RAISE, RUB, TILT, and TURN. This item is tier 2 of 2 tiers. Try as you might, you cannot get a good sense of whether or not the bowl's pockets could get any deeper, but you can tell that the bowl is as light as it can get. UsageTier 1
UsageTier 2
Athame
You analyze your blackthorn athame and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: This item can be freely altered, but the noun must remain "athame." Current verbs: PUSH, PULL, RAISE, and TILT. This item is tier 1 of 2 tiers. You get no sense of whether or not the athame may be further lightened. UsageTier 1
UsageTier 2
Goblet
You analyze your crystal goblet and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "There do not seem to be any specific limitations." The creator has also provided the following information: This is a drink container. Acceptable nouns for this item are: chalice and goblet. Long and show descriptions are acceptable. Current verbs: BOW, DRINK, GAZE, PUSH, PULL, RAISE, TILT and TURN. This item is tier 2 of 2 tiers. You get no sense of whether or not the goblet may be further lightened. UsageTier 1
UsageTier 2
Fan
You analyze your feather fan and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: This item should be described as either a "smudging fan" or a "ritual fan." Fans can only be made of feathers. Handles or adornments are fine. Long or show descriptions are acceptable. Current verbs: BOW, GAZE, PUSH, PULL, RAISE, RUB, TILT, and TURN. This item is tier 2 of 2 tiers. You get no sense of whether or not the fan may be further lightened. UsageTier 1
UsageTier 2
Ingredients
You analyze your blue glass bottle and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: Acceptable nouns for this item are: bottle, vial, flask, ampoule, or phial. Bottles can only be made of glass. You can determine the color and type of contents, as well as the text on the bottle's label (ie: Essence of Flaming Violet), but the contents must be something natural and attainable. Long or show descriptions are acceptable. Current verbs: BOW, GAZE, POUR, PUSH, PULL, RAISE, RUB and TURN. This item is tier 2 of 2 tiers. UsageTier 1

For all of you witchy, ritualistic types out there: tools for your witching pleasure.
You carefully pull the ebonwood athame from its stylized niche in the ebonwood case's sapphire green crushed velvet interior. With your arms extended shoulder-height from your body, the tip of the ebonwood athame toward the horizon, you make a quarter turn in a clockwise direction. With a firm grip on the hilt of the ebonwood athame, you raise it skyward, extending both arms high overhead as you focus your intentions. You brush your hand down the flat of the blunt-edged blade of the ebonwood athame and feel a tickle of warm energy against your fingertips. You carefully place the ebonwood athame into one of the stylized depressions in the ebonwood case's sapphire green crushed velvet interior. You carefully pull the ivory offering bowl from its stylized niche in the ebonwood case's sapphire green crushed velvet interior. Cupped in the palms of your hands, you carefully swirl the contents of the ivory offering bowl. Extending your arms overhead, you hold the ivory offering bowl aloft and turn your eyes skyward. You carefully pull the smudging fan from its stylized niche in the ebonwood case's sapphire green crushed velvet interior. Deftly, you draw the smudging fan back and forth over the bowl, gently swirling the air above it with your movements. You brush the smudging fan through the air with purposeful motions, drawing the air toward you and over your head. With gentle motions, you sweep the smudging fan through the air, pushing it out and away from you. Starting at your head, you brush the smudging fan in long strokes downward along your body until you reach your feet in an attempt to cleanse the space about you. You carefully pull the potion bottle from its stylized niche in the ebonwood case's sapphire green crushed velvet interior. Clasping the potion bottle in the craddle of your hands, you lift it overhead and concentrate on suffusing your energy into the liquid it contains. Bowing your head, you hold the silver chalice aloft and offer it skyward. Nestling the bowl of the silver chalice between your hands, you stretch out your arms to present it. Trying to divine something from their depths, you gaze stoically into the contents of the silver chalice before lightly tapping a fingertip against the liquid's surface. As you appraise the manner in which the ripples travel outward, you furrow your brow in concentration.
It's a set: an athame, an offering bowl, a chalice, a smudging fan, a potion bottle, and a case to put it all in. Some of the items will work together in pairs (like the fan and the bowl and the bowl and the athame). There are two tiers to the items. Having them unlocked opens additional verbs and customization on some. Some of the items will glow with certain verbs, and you'll be able to specify the color. You can customize the color and the material of the lining in the case. You can customize what's in the potion bottle (it doesn't have to be a potion, it can just be an ingredient - like graveyard dirt or flower petals or belly button lint or whatever) and you'll be able to customize the color of some of them. And, of course, the items themselves will take long descriptions or shows. Only minimal restrictions on what kind of alters are acceptable, which will all be in the analyze. Woo hoo. ~ X.
