Floral Snips

Floral Snips are crafting tools that can be used on foraged plants to make them wearable. They debuted at Ebon Gate 2025 and are sold in Something Borrowed in Evermore Hollow. Foraged plants snipped with Floral Snips also have a script applied to them. The type of script applied is noted in the snips' ANALYZE. Currently the two options are for Ear flowers and for Floral Hair Items. Floral Snips Floral Snips are used on any foraged item to turn them in to a scripted wearable flower. One type of snips applies the ear flower script. Another type of snip applies the Floral Hair Item script. This second type of snips has additional functionality to select which hairstyle option is used for the snipped flower. Analyze You analyze the dark faenor snips and sense that the creator has provided the following information: Floral Snips by Naidem The snips will work on a foraged flower and allow them to become BEHIND THE EAR flowers. Alterations You may customize the design of the snips, but they must always remain some kind of snips or scissors. Only the long, show, or both may be changed on these. You analyze the sterling silver snips and sense that the creator has provided the following information: Floral Snips by Naidem The snips will work on a foraged flower only and will allow that foraged flower to be worn in the hair, granting the wearer a unique flower based style. There are 20 hairstyle options. To view them WHISPER snips OPTIONS. You may set the option transferred to your foraged flower by using WHISPER snips {# or DEFAULT}. Alterations You may customize the design of the snips, but they must always remain some kind of snips or scissors. Only the long, show, or both may be changed on these. WHISPER [Displays the list of hairstyle options available for Floral Hair Item snips.] N/A Floral Hair Item Analyze You analyze the misty pink dreamphlox and sense that the creator has provided the following information: Floral Hair Item Created in Naidem, and possibly by the Floral Snips, a cluster of misty pink dreamphlox can be worn in the hair. It will be hidden. It will grant the following hairstyle to the wearer: She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair worked into thick ropes of braid that trail down her back, with misty pink dreamphloxes lodged at each crossing. Alterations You may alter the base flower, but it may not have a long description as that will be lost in the hairstyle. If a merchant is feeling generous, they may also customize the hairstyle for you. Usage Verb First Third REMOVE You gingerly pluck free a cluster of misty pink dreamphlox from your hair, allowing your hairstyle to fall away. Additional Information Hairstyle Options Available hairstyles for the Floral Hair Item style Floral Snips can be previewed via WHISPER SNIPS OPTIONS, which also indicates the currently selected hairstyle. An individual hairstyle can be selected via WHISPER SNIPS # or WHISPER MY SNIPS DEFAULT. This will apply the selected hairstyle to any foraged plant the snips are used on. Once a hairstyle is applied to a foraged plant, a new one can be applied to replace it by selecting a different hairstyle with the snips. This allows a single plant to be reused with any available hairstyle. The snips will provide a single foraged flower with one of the hairstyle options below: Default: She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair bound at intervals along its length with cord, each section fitted with a small cluster of (flowers). She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair woven into a multi-strand plait dappled with (flowers). She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair topped in a delicate (flowers)-woven circlet, allowing the remainder to tumble free in loose ringlets. She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair woven into a herringbone crown braid peppered with (flowers). Incredibly fine wisps trail loose, creating a faintly ringleted halo about her head. She has jaw-length, fine snowy white hair drawn back into a crown-to-nape braid, a trail of (flowers) fitted into the tight weave and leaving the rest to tumble free beyond the cinching band.
