I don't really understand the point of long-term experience. What does it do, why is it any use, and how does it differ from regular experience? The Wiki really doesn't explain, and no matter who I ask in-game, I don't get an explanation, just told to read the Wiki again. There must be something I'm missing, but I don't know what. The point of LTE
I suppose the point may differ from person to person, but the most important aspect to me is the fact that it allows a character to gain new experience while continuing experience gaining actions. An example would be Reim; it is easy to fry quickly in Reim. By using an LTE boost, the character can continue to gain new experience. Killing a creature while fried nets no experience; if you use an LTE, you lose 250 experience, but you can then continue to gain new experience while hunting. Generally, over time that new experience equates to more than the 250 experience points you originally lost.
LTE also encourages the use of PC empaths.--ECHEAUX (talk) 15:06, 23 November 2019 (CST)
