Rysus
|
Rysus was the mysterious leader of the Brotherhood of Rooks, an organization based in Wehnimer's Landing, until he was poisoned, cursed, and killed by adventurers and Rooks alike.
Appearance
As of the second month of 5117:
You see Rysus. He appears to be a Half-Elf. It is difficult to properly see his features as the hood of his cloak is pulled down over his face. He is in good shape. He is wearing some slouched black leather boots, a crystal amulet, a hooded black cloak, a black wyrwood long bow, and a smoky shadowglass ring.
Rysus has appeared as a half-elf, when not hiding behind his bird mask as is the traditional disguise of many in the Brotherhood of Rooks. His features have been different on many occasions, and rumors have spread he is a master of disguise, or perhaps there exists multiple people claiming to be Rysus.
Background
Rysus became the leader of the Brotherhood of Rooks after both Drangell and Alendrial DeArchon were apprehended by imperial forces and allied heroes. Initially he was a spokesperson for Alendrial's faction as she and Drangell fought over control of the local Rook faction due to Alendrial's objections to the murder of militia members, some of whom had left behind their Rook masks to join openly with pardons. Both captures were said to be somehow manipulated into taking place by Rysus, who sought to rise to power. Rysus has taken the Brotherhood of Rooks on many efforts to oppose the Hendoran presence and control in Wehnimer's Landing, and even recently allied with a nefarious group of criminals known as the Silver Kings within the Turamzzyrian Empire to escalate his attacks on the Hendorans.
The use of bombs became commonplace among the Rooks during Rysus "Reign"
He put a 500,000 silver bounty on Hendoran's prior to Thadston reaching an accord with him before it could escalate further.
He did assist the Landing in acquiring high grade Plinite in Olaesta, 5016.
He was the proclaimed King of the Brotherhood of Rooks during his leadership and often used children as messengers.
Little else is known of the man or his true identity.
